  • kykaree, that's just not right. How BEAUTIFUL, you lucky girl, you!!
Maybe I'll walk up to Parliament and take a few photos.

Den, I am SO proud of you for doing the bike, sweetie!!
  • We are very lucky where we are located, it makes it quite motivating to get out there and walk. We walked around Ironbridge today, the home of the industrial revolution, which was entertaining and educational, as well as helping with the exercise. Just gotta get organised during the week now. That's my major challenge, to get moving on workdays as well as at weekends.
  • Did about a 35 minute walk today then I helped my parents do some purging of their den and rearranging furniture - if I keep this up I may have some muscles by April
  • Quote: Where I exercised today

The other place I exercised today

Not a clue how far we walked today, but it was a long way. Walking the Castle was challenging, an awful lot of steps, with only a rope to hang on to, and I am scared of heights!!! Quite an achievement!!!!
That's one of my local castles! That's one of my picnic places! We could have passed each other and never known!

Glad you had a good time. Very well done on the spiral staircases with the ropes. I always feel so proud of myself when I've trotted up and down.
  • Thanks Ellis!! Good for YOU too!!!

I'm starting out slow, but at least I'm doing it!!!
  • Oh wow Silverbirch, you are so lucky, I have fallen head over heels with North Wales!!!! I do love our village of Ramsbottom, but North Wales is a bit special.

Today we went to Chester Zoo, and I spent about half an hour with the meerkats, my favourite animals. We were there for their dinner, raw dead mice and cicadas, no matter how tough our eating plans get, at least they are better than that!!!!!
  • Week one completed this morning, and i stuck to my goal (5x min. a week.) So on to week two!!!

    Wow.
  • 1 Hour of walking yesterday
  • I went to the gym today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For the first time in um er 5 years 6 years???? And it was good!!!! I felt a bit self concious as I am the fattest gym user there (seriously!!! by about 30 pounds AT LEAST!!!) But hang it, if I stick with it I won't be the fattest for long. I have added incentive, my best girlfriend in England has invited me to read at her wedding, I really really want to buy a dress at my favourite shop, Monsoon. I need to be a size 16 - 18 (12 - 14 in your US sizes) I am currently as 26 (22). I have until September! Can I do it????

    My September Goal
  • Way to go Kykaree!

I walked 30 minutes at lunch yesterday and tonight is my 90 minute dance class
  • I went swimming today!!!! For the first time in three years!!!!! I managed 10 lengths today (probably twelve if you count the weaving and dodging of babies learning to swim and evil teenagers LOL. I walked the half mile two and from the pool and then walked back into the village again for my shopping trip! I can't wait to go again next week.

I did my dancing video at 6.30 yesterday morning, much to the amusement of the dh. Back to the safety of my gym tomorrow.
  • Way to go Kykaree!

I did some walking on the weekend

Today I will be doing about 60 minutes of walking outdoors....
  • Thanks mauvaisroux! I used to loathe exercise, so I look forward to hearing your little cheers, they really keep me going!

I love walking outdoors. My gym instructor was amazed to see fat little me striding on the treadmill, turning it up faster and higher, I am used to these Lancashire hills! I'm gonna get me a pedometer next month, with a little radio in it, so I can keep a tally on my steps and distance.
