Default What's cooking for Thanksgiving?

I know the Canadian Thanksgiving has already gone by but I am curious as to what the U.S chicks are making for dinner.

Are you planning foods around your weight loss plan and if so what are you making.

If you are not the host then how are you going to stay on plan?

Canadian chicks - what did you make for your Thanksgiving and what did you do to stay on plan?

Well, we were going to go to Grandmas for Thanksgiving this year, but with my surgery coming up, grandmas is out of the plan. I'll probbaly go over to my aunts locally instead. Bake a butterscotch pie...

Ya know..around the holidays I still eat pretty well on plan and I don't go back for giant seconds. I definitely take a long walk or bike ride after dinner to help keep things moving along. But I gotta have my butterscotch pie!!

Well...we have Thanksgiving at my inlaws. I usually bring plenty of bottled water and Diet soda so I stay away from all of the food.

I eat some of the white meat roasted turkey and nibble on the veggie tray-and I always bring a reduced calorie dessert with me-so I can indulge in a serving of dessert without blowing my plan. Last year I made sugar free crustless pumpkin pie, the year before I brought a tray of fresh cut up fruit. Not sure what I am going to make this year...I will have to look through my recipe books.

We have a ton of food for Thanksgiving. I normally just let myself eat and not feel guilty. I try not to go overboard, but I don't really worry about my diet either. We celebrate my birthday that day too. I get my ice cream cake, and I am perfectly happy.

I think you should start a new tradition, and fast on Thanksgiving day.
