More purging this weekend! I threw out a big blue glass jar that had a huge and very dangerous chip in it - why was I keeping this in a box in the basement for 3 years

I got rid of 5 big bins of clothes yesterday!! Now I got tons of extra hangers. I traded them in for a voucher for more clothes for the daughter. It felt so good!! I'm on a fling splurge!!

Way to go Noodles

I got rid of some more things, stuff that was broken that I never got around to fixing and bits and pieces into the donation bin. Somehow freeing yourself from clutter feels very liberating

I'm cleaning the basement this weekend to set it up for a surprise masquerade birthday party for my daughter. This means more clothes to goodwill, junk set on the curb, doggy bath out the door, yep, I'm cleaning HOUSE this weekend.

I'm counting this... I just tore down some of the kitchen ceiling and bagged it. Four large garbage bags full. I'm covered in dust!

I hope you wore a mask Ellis. I did that 4 years ago and was coughing up and sneezing dust and some other crap for a week and a half.

Tiki, I typically forgot. No, that's not true. I was too lazy to look for a mask. You're right... I'm blowing out black.

I will, Noodles!

Well this Sunday was fling central at Noodles house!! We went through the whole kitchen and re-organized it and flinged 6 bins full of old dishes, pots & pans, nicknacks, glassware, etc. YAY!!! Then we gave it a good cleaning. It looks like a brand new kitchen.

I flung an old winter coat to charity at my work. Coat Drives are such a great idea. Very useful.
I also flung my old poor eyesight! I didn't know how badly i needed glasses, but I did. And now I learned some amazing things... like streetsigns have words on them! and houses have addresses. And those blobs at the end of movies and shows are actually credits! It's amazing all the things i've been missing.
though for some reason my house is now dirtier. *LOL*

I also wanted to brag because my aunt came to my house for the first time and looked around and said "Wow, you guys don't have anything do you?!" it was a great compliment, even though she didn't know it.

Way to go flingers!

ellis-I can't wait to see your new kitchen! I will be over in 4 days so put the coffee on!

Noodles - I did the same thing! We had our Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday so I did more purging and packing on Monday. So now most of the kitchen is packed except for the essentials and I flung a bunch of plastic containers and odds and ends. I flung some old cans and jars too - good grief - I had a couple where there expiry date was 2001! My cupboards are too tall and too deep and things get lost back there - I can't wait to get into my new kitchen!

liziness- good for you for getting new glasses! It will make the world of difference. I just ordered some new ones on Saturday since my contacts are up to date but my glasses are behind by a few years. I am going to donate two pairs of glasses to the glasses recycling program that one of the opticians has.

Bring a wrecking bar with you.
And while you're at it, bring the coffee.

Okay, I've bagged eight more bags of ceiling. It's all down now.
Mauvais, did I tell you we're getting red kitchen cabinets? You are going to be SCREAMING with envy when you see them. Well, you're not, because you'll be so happy with your new house, but normally you would be SCREAMING with envy.
