Good morning everyone

Only a few more hours until I leave for my holiday! So I just thought I would pop in tell you all to have a good week - good luck to everyone with their plans and mini-goals and I will talk to you all in about a week or so!

Later
Mauvais

Mauvais, have a wonderful time! We want to hear all about it when you get back. (all the weird things that you gamers do )

Lidian, I'm so sorry you're having a rough time. Counselling is a GREAT idea. It's amazing how others can see our relationships clearly while we go on bumbling about doing the wrong things without realizing it.
And it's so easy to get into the rut of not respecting each other or not being kind to each other.
love, hugs and prayers...

Thanks Ellis and Den - I have had counselling a few times and it has been a mixed bag to say the least, but I think it is the right thing to do. Thank goodness both girls are in school all day, it is easier to schedule stuff when they are in school.

Will let you know, of course, when I am about to embark on the therapy again - first, a lil chat with my dear GP so she can refer me/us, of course.

Good Luck Ms Lidian! I am always very impressed with the people who have the courage and wherewithal to go seek help when they need it.

Lots of hugs

Thank you - you all are true friends! I am lucky to have you. Seems the older one gets the harder it is to make good friends (or could be I am just on the introverted side!). I have made a few really good friends here - but they are more potential confidantes, it takes years in the real world.

How's everyone else doing today? We are going to the pool later, which amuses the girls no end (they love to swim) - and I am letting them help get dinner during vacation. I let eldest put something in the oven (with me hovering of course & oven mitts up to her armpits) and was she ever thrilled! Wait till she's been cooking and washing up for awhile as a teenager, ha ha!

DH is making an extra effort to be nice to me, and writes me a nice note in the mornings - so I am making the effort not to tear into him too much! One day at a time....

It's raining again. Which is fine aside from the laundry thing. (Den, did you get your dryer fixed yet? )

The brother-in-law from **** is down visiting. We all went out for dinner last night, and the food wasn't even on the table before I was laying into him for being a racist/sexist pig. Don't quite know how I'll survive the week...

I'm waiting to hear from Mom and Dad. Dad is having his visit with the surgeon right now prior to (God willing) his surgery next month. I'm VERY anxious. Maybe I should go back to bed. Although I've just had 3 coffees...

Lidian, kill him with kindness. It's the best way. It's a reciprocal thing. (well, it'd better be, damn it!!) Hang in there, sweetie!

YOU are a very nice mom Den! My 2 girls are always hungry these days too, it seems. I know they exercise a lot (swimming, tennis, badminton, running around) but my goodness, you'd think I didn't feed them anything at all!

When I suggest yogurt or something they often realize that they are NOT actually hungry!
