I am still enjoying playing with my pedometer! Now both girls want one of their own and youngest DD wants to buy one out of saved allowance money. This is good, since I want to walk a lot this summer and NOT drive the car. I don't like driving anyway!

Hey girls,
I got back to the gym today. It felt great. I think I need to go more often and get my body in motion instead of saying, poor me, poor me, pour me a drink, cause that is what will happen if I don't stop feeling sorry for me. I need to take action and charge of my life. My life feels like a roller coaster most days, I have real high points where I am on top of the world and than I crash. So time to kick it into gear.

I did not feel like getting out of bed this morning  but I finally hauled my fanny out of bed and did pilates.

I am actually starting to feel lousy in the morning when I don't exercise

Good for you, Mauvais!! Keep on listening to your body! :cb:

Thanks for the encouragement Ellis :D

I jogged in place for some time while the girls' school held its annual dance-in-the-schoolyard event for students (& their hangers-on). And I walked back and forth from school with water bottles and stuff in a big backpack (like a Sherpa) several times. And in 5 minutes we have to walk back again!

It's all good, it's all good for the pedometer....

I walked to work this morning- 25 minutes.

I walked to the Courthouse to file documents for work this morning and back - 30 minutes then did the same thing this afternoon.

I also walked for 20 minutes at lunch to go meet my friend :)

Then I walked to DH's work -30 minutes, then home 15 minutes, then downtown to the mall to buy a bathing suit- 30 minutes and back home again-30 minutes.

Walked to a restaurant -15 minutes and back home for another 15 minutes.

Grand total= 4 hours and 10 minutes

Calves of steel here I come

I should really be buying that pedometer!

Up at 6:30 this morning to do my bellydance fitness tape :D

Lidian 06-07-2003 12:29 PM

Mauvais, you are simply amazing! I don't think I have ever walked for 4 hours in one day (except once in Banff when DH decided it would be fun to hike up Sulphur Mt, which is 2 miles or so out of town, but first why don't we WALK to the trailhead)...
it is very cool that you are doing all sorts of things, cross-training I mean!

Walked about 2 miles.

Squeak, I just can't believe it. The girl who said she hated exercise. (I'm sure you still do, but you're doing it!!)
Congratulations!! :cb:

Thanks for the encouragement Ellis!

I still hate it, and still will never, ever, ever go to the gym. I don't mind walking or riding my bike. Now that it is getting nice out I will be able to do more of it.
Plus yesterday's walk had a purpose, and I really don't mind walking if it is for something.
