Oh... Masterpiece Theatre! I forgot about THAT! You know who I miss? Elwy Yost. What a weird, cozy little man. With great movie choices.

Animal cops
Animal Precient
emergency vets

and while I am on the tread mill...
state of grace
discover health channel, body challenge

and just for morbid fun:
any shows with true crime involved
investigative reports

trading places (like watching a train wreck!)
what not to wear (car wreck)
monty python (brain wreck) spam, spam, spam, spam.....

and yet...amazingly, I think I don't watch much TV...

Ooh, I wanna play too!

#1...absolute favorite show:Seinfeld reruns
2...Buffy
3...Survivor (guilty pleasure)
4...CSI
5...The Osbournes

That's about it for me...I do put on the "Show Tunes" channel quite frequently...no picture...no commercials...all show tunes, all the time! My family mocks me for this...

Bah! Buncha rule-breakers!!! /point Ginya, OI812 and Sojo!

LOL, and don't feel bad, Blackbird - I watched a couple episodes of Joe Millionaire myself... but he just totally ruined it for me, lol. I wasn't at all interested in him or any of the women... and I hated that pretty much all the women looked like complete gold-diggers. I know Fox set it up that way, but it just turned me off completely.

And I love Oprah & Dr. Phil, but they're not on at optimal times for me, so I never get to see them (unless I play hookie!!). I have a VCR, but it's not even set-up - I only have it so I can do work-out tapes in the kitchen, hehe. I hate recording stuff, I end up never watching it later. And I love Animal Planet shows, but sometimes I just can't watch it because the shows make me sad, lol. My husband came downstairs one day and I was bawling because of something that happened on Animal Cops... just breaks my heart.

Glad to see a few more Buffy fans out there... even though it's ending this year, I can't wait to see what Joss has in store for us these last few episodes!

My sister met Elwy in a bar several years ago. (not a pick-up bar, a COZY bar) Canada is so small-town. heh heh. She said he was the sweetest old darling. I love his voice.

You know, I recognize pretty much none of the shows you're talking about. I USED to watch .... something "Blues". I forget... a New York cop show. And Barney Miller. The Twilight Zone. Dallas. Faulty Towers. All in the Family. Tommy Hunter. Hymn Sing. Bugs Bunny. Emergency. Hawaii Five-0. Get Smart. M.A.S.H. The Partridge Family. The Brady Bunch. Happy Days.

You know, I figure it's been about 20 years since I watched TV...

Oh wait a minute!! I DO love Pengu and Fireman Sam!

DH says, "I bet it was a pick-up bar." But he's just jealous.

Angry This was fun and I had to put my two cents in..

I don't watch much TV. When I used to have cable my cat loved "Big Cat Diary" on Animal Planet. He just loved seeing his wild brothers. I still watch the silly mindless Fox cartoons like Simpsons and King of the Hill and I love Malcolm in the Middle. I used to wathc the HBO shows like 6 feet under and Sex in the City. I prefer mindless TV that is met to be funny. I don't like dramas like ER or the whole reality fad. I'm trying to think what I miss about cable, but you know, I don't!

That's Hill Street Blues, Ellis. I used to love that show too and watched it faithfully.

You know, it's funny, a lot of people love that Sex in the City Show and I just hate it I have tried to watch it 2 or 3 times now and I just can't. I don't know what it is about that show but I just don't find it that funny or entertaining, and I find the characters annoying, especially Sarah Jessica Parker's character.

I wish we could get 6 Feet Under on regular cable here - it sounds really good.

I second your opinion on Sex in the City, Mauv. I thought it was rather insulting, myself.

I'm a National Geographic, Learning Channel, Discovery Channel, Biography, Forensic Detective show kinda gal.

Though I really do enjoy SG1. Dean Anderson just cracks me up.

That is when I can find the time to sit down.

Hill Street Blues! That's it, Mauvais! Ah, a trip down memory lane with the TV...

Wait a minute... something is coming back to me...
I think this was just last year, so someone should know what I'm talking about. I was up in our bedroom one evening, and for some reason I flipped on the TV. There was this show on about lawyers... I can't remember the name. (go figure) Not a comedy... a serious thingy. There were about three lawyers... two men and a woman. One of the men is older. Slight, light receding hair. (I've actually seen him act at a theatre in Ottawa)
Anyhow, I was totally taken with it, and to my delight, there were TWO shows of it back-to-back.
Okay, so what the heck is it called?
It may have been total trash, but ****... when you never watch TV, it's all total eye candy. heh heh.

I used to love watching Oprah but now she is on mostly when the kids are home so I let them watch Arthur instead...My fave show is Lonely Planet (I want it to be me with the backpack having cool adventures, except for the bungee jumping), and I used to love Iron Chef but am a little tired of it these days. I also like Alton Brown on Good Eats, and the Food Network in general when there is nothing else on.

I used to have to watch stuff like Barney (though my dear daughters deny it! well, I wasn't watching for ME, that's for sure!) so life is much better now round the TV!

My mom and I used to love Masterpiece Theatre and...I like a lot of English stuff like French & Saunders, early Ab Fab, Keeping Up Appearances, Monty Python sometimes, Mr. Bean.

But now I am too tired for TV and am off to bed! Talk to you later,

Lidian
