Well I maintained which is what I expected with that high of calories but at least I didn't gain. Will try and eliminate the higher cal foods a bit today as don't plan to eat out. The fiber does help when I do it consistently.
breakfast
mocha with pb and extra fiber
pineapple slices (2 half slices)
am snack
Chai tea latte - LOVE Oregon Chai! but it is kinda high in carbs (for a snack/beverage) so I use a little less than instructions say. It's strong enough that it's still very good! Duh! I set the microwave for 2 min and it boiled over! So I only got maybe 2/3 of it. Well even less calories and carbs! ;-)
lunch
6 mini quiche - had to estimate calories as I threw away box. Went by what I found online but not exact brand.
Salad - About 1 1/4 c. - lettuce, tomato, onion
mocha - regular (no pb)
pm snack
PB mocha made with PB2 - The PB2 came today and I just had to make a mocha with it right away! It is good esp since it will save me 60 calories and I might be able to get by with a little less too.
dinner - dh loved this!
Pepper steak stir-fry - used leftover steak, green and red peppers, onions, mushrooms sauteed in a little olive oil and sesame oil. I probably had a little less than 4 oz meat.
1/3 c rice

Todays cals-1725 Exer-60 mins strength training
maryea-good for you for recording all your eats. I hope your final numbers are in line today.

I guess I got off track for a little while (again), but am back on track again, and feeling good about it.
I am trying to keep healthy snack foods, and meal foods, in the house, as I live in a very small rural town, and if I run out, well put it this way we have 2 convenience stores, and a pizza/sub shop/restaraunt in town and that is it, so if I don't have it there, it is 25 miles away to the larger stores that carry what I need to eat healthy. I am doing better about that now.
Have a great day everyone,
Wilma

Todays cals-2090 Exercise-60 mins step class at the y. Today's cals are high because I went out to eat for lunch and dinner and they were both Mexican. Obviously not planned. Oh well. I don't have Mexican very often any longer so I guess I won't worry about it. I was able to move my ticker again, yeah! Hope it wasn't premature after today.
Wilma-Welcome! I would really struggle without a store nearby. I am used to going everyday. It sounds like you have a good plan though. It is great you got yourself back on track after a detour. Good for you!

1269 calories and 12 carb serv. rie, the pb2 is really helpful in keeping calories down! 1 T is enough for my mochas. I use 2 T with sliced apple -that's pretty good too!

Tera, I love Mexican food also. I buy the reduced sodium taco seasonings so that helps.
Mary, I really like PB also, in fact today I am having it for lunch with a Banana on a toasted ww sandwich thin.

I’m sorry I’ve been AWOL this week. The boredom is my excuse. I know it makes no sense but I’m so bored I have nothing to say. But, I’m doing ok on calories after going too high this past weekend and on Monday. Yesterday was at 1410 and I told DH that I just can’t have a big breakfast and big lunch because then I’m mad I have so little cals left after 2:00 pm. He was fine with not making a big deal out of breakfast. Yesterday and today’s breakfast was much more in line calorie wise.
Wilma, my shopping is 18 miles away so I know that you have to plan out the grocery shopping. We have a little store that has lots stuffed in it but the prices are astronomical and it is so much better to plan. The 18 miles does help when I want something I normally wouldn’t have and shouldn’t have. Then again, I’m in town most days working (except while I’m on this medical leave) so my planning can be hit or miss. Good job getting on track again. Check back with us often. I find it does help.
Mary, sounds like you really like the PB2. I’m glad you tried it out. You’re doing great and just keep at it. Prove your dr wrong (I know you posted that info on the GG thread but I know you have the willpower). You’ll get that a1C back down in no time.
Tera, it’s Friday… Be careful on the FAC date. You have been doing amazingly so you don’t want FAC (Wilma, Friday Afternoon Club date with her DH) to derail you for the weekend.
That’s about it in my little world. Surgery recovery and sniffles. That’s what I’m up to. And munching on dark chocolate M&Ms. Funny tidbit, I have my gumball machine dole out 115 cal M&M servings. On Wednesday I had three servings. That would be 1.5 normal M&M candy bags. But before I figured that out, I was berating myself with the guilt “piggy” chants. Then I realized 1.5 bags weren’t a big deal. In the old day, I’d have gone for a lot more. I thought that was good. And yesterday I was better with the M&Ms. Usually I have no trouble staying away from them except my 115 cal serving per day. But being home and bored, they call “Marie”. Mostly I think it is because they are Ms and I’m an M.

I'll try to get back today to track my food. I get too busy sometimes plus I already track in Lose it!
breakfast
my pb mocha (regular pb this time)
fresh blueberries 1/2 c
worked out - walked track 10 min. That actually got me huffin and puffin better than the treadmill. I think I walk faster on my own. Then stationery bike 15 min at 7, treadmill 15 min at 3.2 and my usual 3 weight machines. I upped them a bit to 15 reps (2 sets). BS was good after working out.
am snack
1/2 bagel with 1 t. 1/3 less fat cream cheese
lunch
PB mocha made with PB2
potato soup with 5 crackers (discovered soup leftovers in fridge after drinking mocha! So too many carbs but it was SO good! One of my favorite foods!) Soup also had pieces of carrot and celery in it.
pm snack
popcorn (iight)and a PB2 mocha
dinner
sloppy Joe on ww bun
1 1/2 cups salad (no dressing)
eve snack
1/2 lg apple with 2 T PB2
Ended up with 1593 calories which is not too bad but I went way over on carb serv..almost 17.
Marie was thinking about you and your M&Ms! I love them too and I remember eating almost a whole LARGE bag of them at one setting and then going back later for the rest! Even now I dream about them..those and Almond Joys and Snickers..and several others. I'm like a kid..like my candy. I rarely buy candy but my dh gives me a snack size bar now and then. I dream about buying a whole bag of Almond Joy bars and eating them all!! I won't do it (I hope not!) but I dream about it!

i also love mexican food.My fav are burrittos but they have so many cals and fat so I'm staying a way from them

Count me in with the Mexican food lovers, MrsL. I love quesadillas, fajitas and fully loaded nachos. And Mary, I remember once doing some ironing and having a 1 LB bag of Peanut M&Ms on the end of the ironing board. I swear I ate about 2/3 of it. I can still see the image me in the long ago dining room with the ironing board and the yellow bag. Since I became deathly allergic to peanuts by the time I was 28, it was long, long ago. I've never been a binger except that one time (that I can think of) and it probably caused the darn peanut allergy. OK, probably not but what I'd do for a peanut M&M, especially since they have dark chocolate peanut M&Ms. Maybe it is a good thing I can never have them.
Oh, I finished my eating day at 1429 cals and probably put another 500 miles on my couch. The potato is so sick of sitting here.

I have not been so good lately, sticking around the 2100 calories level. Today will be better. At least I am posting anyway. It is just so darn easy to go over! I was not too bad about FAC yesterday-2 glasses of white wine. I only allow myself white wine at restaurants anymore. It is so expensive that there is no way I will have more than two. Heck, for what I paid for those two glasses, I have to question my sanity a little. I do love white wine though.
maryea-Still struggling with the carbs? Sorry you are missing the candy. Would it be possible for you to eat more fruit? I love blending fruit with yogurt and ice for a smoothie in the morning. I think it helps feed the sugar monster.
mrslosingit-My scale concurs with you-mexican food should be avoided when attempting weight loss.
marie-That is no fun having to rest while you recuperate. Good for you for following doctors orders. It will all be worth it in the end. Hopefully the M&Ms are being polite today and not tempting you during your convalescence.

1529 calories but high on carb. Think I got almost 16 carb serv.
Ter - I can have fruit and I love it but it is carb too. No candy in house so that helps but I can still go over. Yogurt is also carb. I eat it all just have to watch i and it is easy to get too much.

Mary, I hope you are feeling better today. Could the carbs be causing some of your health issues?
Tera, I am in the same boat as you - if I post then I am at least in the battle. I was high in cals on Saturday (I think ~1700 cals but I'm too potato like to get my iPhone to look). Yesterday was better at 1430 cals. Today? Who knows. I've turned into the Cookie Monster.
So Mary, a question for you since I have turned into the Cookie Monster. Always the day before my cycle would start, I would crave Choc Chip Cookies. That was my only PMS symptom. I'd need to back and have a choc chip cookie. Now... I dream, visualize, crave, need, desire, want, etc choc chip cookies all the time. Is the HRT like the hormones right before a cycle? Because if yes, I will need to find a way to be more vigilant. If not, I could be dreaming of cookies just because I'm bored out of my mind. What do you think?

Marie I don't know about the cookie urges. I'm always wanted sweets but think I was always that way. Sorry can't help you.

I have been very good for the last two days. I am almost ready to move my ticker again but not yet because I don't truly believe my scale. I have not been under 142 since Jan of 2011 and voila', there it is. I actually saw 139.5 on the scale this morning but then it went right back to 140.5. Almost there though. Now if I could just behave.
Marie-One day at a time and in a little bit you will be clear to exercise. Then you will feel your old self again although without terrible monthly pain. Sorry about those cookie cravings. I have to deny myself any sweets I truly enjoy or I eat too many but I still have them now and then. Lately I am trying to wean myself off my substitutes and eat more fruit instead. Not doing too bad but I must admit I probably put 1/4 of a canister of whipped cream on top of my strawberries yesterday!
