Good Morning! Just did the body test with the Wii and I am down 1.8 pounds for the week. Not quite 2 but I'll take it! Going to have some breakfast and then do exercise so I'll be back later.

Non Scale Victories :)
Today I put on a belt because my jeans are a bit loose in the waist - and it did up - I had quit wearing it - not only did it do up - it did up to the 4th hole!!!
Yesterday, I was down on my knees and I got up without thinking, without hanging on to anything for a boost! I had gone about 4 steps when I realized it, so of course had to get down and try again - yep I can get up from my knees without help :carrot: I guess that being (almost)5 feet tall made the 10 pounds lost really count - it seems like that 10 pounds was a breaking point as far as strength ( I tried doing it again holding an 11 pond bag of flour and couldn't do it without help) So while I was bummed out about not looking or feeling thinner...well now I KNOW that I am :) |
ps - how on earth do you all make those long posts? I read them all but can never answer because the forum times out or something and I have to log back in, and then the message is lost ? :( ?

Tea Granny ~ :carrot::carrot::carrot: Congrats on being able to get up off your knees without help. I have lost some of my weight but have a lot to go yet, but I have noticed that even with what I have lost, my knees aren't as stiff and achy as they were :D

Good Morning, All...
Quick check-in.... not because I have an exciting day ahead, but because I have NOTHING TO REPORT! Rosey, loved the picture with Daisy.... she looks like she might be a pretty contented little pooch! Are you still "batching" without your DH? KarenFL, the zucchini hashbrowns sound GOOD. KarenMO, GOOD FOR YOU!! TeaGranny, GOOD FOR YOU!! And that's it, folks! Blah, blah, blah, I am! Hope your day is a good one! Wish it would stop snowing on all of you most-put-upon NE folks! Be warm, safe, and dry......... |
Good morning everyone! I go to bed so early in the RV and the sunshine wakes me up early too. At home I'd have a hard time getting out of bed because it would be cloudy and probably raiining. The "honey wagon" comes today to pump out our tanks so it's a happy day!:carrot: LOL
Jess I had to laugh at your post about my trip. It's really not that bad....we have electric and water it's just that we have to watch the amount of water we use right now as we don't have septic/sewer. The park bathrooms are right across from us though and they are very nice and clean. I took a shower there yesterday and although I was reluctant it turned out to be a very nice shower. I am not showering daily though...I use body wipes in between and I've learned to be ok with that. My skin gets pretty dry down here anyway. So it's not really a stink problem But when my hair won't work right I know I definitely need a shower. :) I am back to recording everything I eat. I have cut out the sunflower seeds, Lynn as even though they are healthy, I love them and as you know I am not very good at controlling something I really like. If I only have serving it's ok, but sometimes I can't find the one serving size and sure enough I'll eat the whole package! Yikes! That's a lot of calories, fat and sodium! Even with eating out for lunch yesterday, I did pretty well ...not perfect though...I ate too much last night but I did drop .6 of a pound. BTW, remember in the middle of the night I said I was 170, well by morning I had dropped to 168 which I figured I might do...still a large gain but better at least. That 170 (12lbs gain!) scared me! Been there, done that, and really don't want to go there again! My honey went to the clubhouse for a cinnamon roll for his breakfast, but I declined thank God! They are huge! Of course my dh is so disciplined, he cuts his in half and has 1/2 for breakfast and maybe 1/2 for his evening snack or maybe even has it the next day. Oh, I wish I were that way! :o Congrats to those who have lost some weight! Teagranny and was it Freda? Sorry I don't have time to read all the posts or very carefully as I'm limited online somewhat. Hope you all have a good day. We just plan to go for a few groceries and my dh wants a haircut. Otherwise it's a home day. I didn't clean house much yesterday as we went out for lunch and then ran into soime old RVing friends and chatted at their RV for a while. So hopefully today I'll get a little housework done. It's pretty easy in an RV. |
Well, I did the wii and I thought while I was cooling down I would come back and see what is going on here.
Tea-- Congrats on the weight loss! I guess we are pretty close in height and weight from the looks of it. I have lost a total of 8.2 pounds since the 7th when I started working out with the wii. I haven't tried getting down and then up again witout holding on to something but it seems like when I'm walking I "FEEL LIGHTER" Does that make sense?? When I am going to sit down and make a post and try to get to everyone I open up my Microsoft Works and write my post there. That way I can read and then go there and reply. When I'm done with my post I just copy and paste it in to the 3fc. It seems to work for me. Rosey, Loved your picture!! Mary, glad things are going good for you. I know when we are out in the RV after a little time, even though it is nice, it just comes to a point when you start looking forward to getting back home! I know the feeling. Well, I'll try to get back later on... need to get some stuff done around here.. |
Hey, hey, hey says Fat Albert, I think I'm down too, I'll find out tomorrow for my 'Biggest Losers' weigh in.
Hi Mary...yeah, get back to recording everything. I love sunflower seeds too, I make little 100 calorie bags out of the bulk package. I've got it written down somewhere how many grams equal 100 calories but it's easy to figure out with the nutritional label. I thought of some of you Golden Girls this morning when I got a really funny email joke. I sent it to KarenMo, maybe she'll send it to you. Or email me and I'll send it. It's about how we used to get measured on a door frame when we were growing up. Only the cartoon shows an old guy measuring his wifes boobs as they are sinking lower to the ground. 1.8 lbs. ? Good job Karen, you're on your way. Does your skinny hubby do the Wi too? Lynard...I'd love to be able to go to a gym, just having other people exercising in the same room would help me. Alas.........we're out of town country folks. KarenFla...I'm going to try your zucchini recipe, hope it works with my frozen zucchini. It should if I drain it well and dry off with a paper towel. I'm out of egg beaters but can use two egg whites. Laffalot, you got a shorter name? I think the whole country is gray. It's been awhile since we've seen the sun. I was reading in the paper about the lack of snow in Canada, the cycle is reversed and the East is getting it all. The nerd sits by the door and wants to constantly go out and get it. Finally I called our neighbors and ask if they'd mind if I moved it. She was very nice about it and said to dump it. We're just waiting to see if Charlie gets sick, we don't know how much he ate. DH has my car running, gotta go. I'm taking my turn cleaning the church today. |

Hi, I am new here altho I was posting some years ago. I live in Florida in the winter and New Jersey in the summer and I'm back to the weight loss grind again. Need support and need to lose at least 80 lbs. Would love to be on the other side of 200 for a change. Trying to avoid health issues so must get serious about weight loss. Bernice:carrot:

KarenMo........isn't that the funniest joke and so true.
Bernice......welcome back. We have a great group here and love newbies. You said you posted a few years back, made me wonder how long the 3 Fat Chicks have been around. Anyone know? Jane, do you know? I don't think it's run by the 3 original gals that started it, I heard that Fitday bought them out. |
OK - here's what I learned at school today -
My little point-and-click digital camera has hundreds of settings and I had all of them set wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lynn |

Hello --- I just finished eating those Protein Oatmeal Pancakes--- I hadn't had them in a long time and just decided that they sounded good for supper tonight. Yummy!! I had forgotten how good they are.
Welcome Bernice! You're going to love it here. This is a great group! Oh Wow Lynn--- makes me wonder about my little Kodak Easy Share. I'll bet there is all kinds of stuff I could learn about it! Think since it is supposed to get cold again this coming week-- I may try making that pot of Cabbage veggie soup! I'll make my list out tonight and pick stuff up tomorrow. We got up to 66 degrees here today--- Wednesday our high is only supposed to get up to 19!!! YUCK!! Come on Spring!! |
