  • Good Morning, All...

Thanks for the info, Bobbi.... you always come up with interesting items!

Got the sprinkler system turned on yesterday, did some laundry, nothing exciting!

You can tell I'm not a Granny, because I was amazed and AGOG at Isabella's dedication to babysitting! 15 months is a huge amount of time to devote. My friends are basically raising their grandkids, too, so I guess it's not uncommon. We would never have even asked, though, and I think that's what amazes me the most.

No news, all is well... Hope you all have a fine day and be safe!
  • Bobbi, yes, 15 months, but I will get to walk in the afternoons and I'm going home on the weekends. Most of DIL's classes are in the morning with the exception of 1 day when she gets home at supper time. DGS and I played with blocks and went outside for about an hour. Then he went down for his nap and has been asleep nearly 2 hours. I made dinner for tonight and soup for tomorrow while he was sleeping. When DS gets home from school (work) I think we're going to a garden centre to pick out some flowering shrubs for the yard. As soon as Boo wakes up we'll have lunch and then I'll go for a walk. Anyhoo, so far, so good. The weather was chilly this morning but it will be ok for a walk, though I hope it warms up a bit. At least it's not pouring rain like yesterday. Gone to check the temperature. Catch you all tomorrow.

Jess, they didn't ask me to babysit, I volunteered. We hardly see the little guy so I'm actually thrilled to be here. (Ask me again in a few months, hahaha.) He fell asleep in my arms this morning while he was drinking his milk and listening to nanny sing.
  • Good Morning Everyone,

Well, yucky news from my doctor. The ultrasound I had last week indicates that there is a lump on my thyroid that needs to be biopsied. I am debating over whether to have it done locally or at the cancer hospital in Philly.

Oooops - my cat just pulled tablecloth off my dr table & knocked everything onto the floor.

    Check back later,

    Lynn
  • Isabella, is your DH along with you or is he batching at home? I think you're wonderful!

Oh, Lynn, so sorry to hear your news. I hope it's just a nice little friendly lump and not the other! Keep us posted!
  • Donna, DH is home alone. Poor dear. I've trained him well and he's quite self-sufficient as long as he has bread, peanut butter and jam. But I've left him with lots of prepared meals in the freezer and I'll be back on the weekends.

Lynn, hope everything will be well with you.
  • Good Morning Everyone,

Back down to 157 - my pre-Italy weight. Today is haircut day & book club meeting.

    Check back later,

    Lynn
  • A quick Good Morning all!
Lynn...good luck on your autopsy and great news on pre-Italy weight. That didn't take long.
Isabella...good job on training hubby, I still think your willingness to take on a baby for 15 months is awesome!
I'm re-arranging my bedroom right now so gotta get going. Just wanted to check in and say HI to everyone.
  • Good Morning, All...

Just checking in... nothing to report. All is well!

PT/Zoe, hope you're having a good time, but I miss you! Everyone, be safe. Have a lovely day!
  • Well, here I am, back from Nawth Cahlinah, and resting up today before heading back to the office tomorrow. Ah, well...it'll be a three-day work week, so I'm not complaining. It was fabulous spending time with my sister - and having my DS and his fiancee there for a bit, too. Somehow, I never got a picture of sis & I together...we just didn't pull the camera out that often. The one I've attached is of me, my son and his fiancee at "Jump Off Rock" - we did a little hiking there one day. My son's fiancee is a tiny little thing who looks twice her size in that baggy white T-shirt. Maybe I'll try to attach one that shows her looking like her real self.
I did some Off-plan eating, but it seemed appropriate at the time, y'know? I think I'm okay, since everything fits the same. I'll get myself back in line tomorrow.
Wow, Lynn, you are such a traveler! Ireland in a few weeks? Lovely. A sweet picture of your daughter, too....she certainly takes after you! "Little Lynn". She's retiring once they sell the B&B? What are they going to do then? I'm keeping my fingers crossed for those biopsy results of yours.
Hey, PT!!!!! Thirty pounds! That's well worth celebrating!!!! I'm proud of you!
Isabella, I SO wish that I could stay home and take care of my little twinnies!!!! Our grandbabies are at such a fabulous age, aren't they? Something new every day! You must be having such a time! (And you'll still be enjoying yourself with him in another month, another year...I don't doubt that for a minute!)
Bobbi, I think you just have such fun with those rummage sales and such that the money doesn't even mean all that much to you. The food, family, and friendship is what counts. PLUS, of course, keeping your house clear of all that accumulated stuff. I need to do some rummage saling around here!
Oh, Karen, those doggie-girls are just the sweetest! I hope your pool warms up enough to hang out in soon!
    Hi Freda!
    SO proud of YOU, Rosey!
Must run, unpack, etc. Back soon -

    Z

  • Way to Go Rosey!!! So proud of you!!
  • Hi Everyone,

Lynn: Sorry about your thyroid news, but congrats on getting back to your pre-trip weight. I'm going to SoCal in a month and I'm already worrying about overeating.

    Rosey: WOOHOO for 36#s gone!!!!

Bobbi: Thanks for another informative article. I live with a speed eater, but I find I have been slowing down. I want to enjoy my food....

    Have a good day everyone.
  • Welcome back Zoe. Sounds like you had a great time. The pic is so nice and natural looking. No one jumped off did they? Hahaha. And, yes, I'm really enjoying DGS so much. He is 14 months old today. Should have made a cake.

Hi there Bobbi. Do you have more space now that the rummage sale is over? I don't have much closet space at home. Little closets that we have to share.

Rosey!!!! That's such good news. WOW, you'll need more than suspenders to keep your pants up if you keep this up.

We had a good morning together. I made tomorrow's dinner when the baby was having a nap. DS has a doctor's appointment in the city tomorrow so we won't come home to an empty larder at supper time. Went for a walk and DIL met me just before I got home and then we went for a little ride in the car with baby. I'm just waiting for the soup to heat so we can have supper.

    Catch you all tomorrow.

    Hey Bobbi,

With any luck, that's a "biopsy" NOT an "autopsy!"

    ROTFLMAO

  • Only laugh I had today was Bobbi's post. Got a call this morning - just after I posted here - that my sister had been taken into the hospital & is in the ICU.

Heart problems - I drove up today (in north Jersey about 2 hours from me). She does NOT look good. Will go back tomorrow morning. If they cannot get her heartbeat regulated, they will need to do an ablation.
