New on the site

  • Hello all,
My name is Carol and I am new to the 3FC site. And in about 5 months I will be having that milestone birthday...the big 50. Where did the time go??? I have struggeled with weight pretty much all my life. In the last 2 yrs. I have had a bout of hyperthyroidism that led to a treatment that left me with Hypothyroidism...so now the battle of the bulge is even harder. But I am being treated and am finally seeing a little progress. Very slowly though. I am looking for support and just any advice and friendship I can get. I can't believe I am going to be 50. There are so many changes ahead and I want to be the healthiest I can be so that I can feel as good as I can. I look forward to cruising the site and meeting new people.

  • Hello Carol and welcome. You're not only a newbee, but in this thread you're just a sweet, young thing. Turning 50 isn't a disease but an opportunity to discover a new you. BTW, you'll love it here--lot's of encouragement and friendly chatter.
  • Welcome to the group CAROL . . . and also . . . glad to have you joining us.
  • Thanks for the welcome
Thanks so much for the welcome.
It is nice to not be alone in this journey.

I am still learning how to navigate the site and find my
threads as well as tracking the threads I want to post
on and then read any other replies. But I will figure it out.
I tend to be slow but I get there eventually.

  • Remember 50 is the new 30....or is it 40? If only the mind did not go, hehehe.

Hi Carol ... I'm CJ and I'm new also. I feel very much like you in that I'm really hoping that the support of this group will help me. I was wondering, as we're both new, if we could share with each other ideas that are working for us either with our diet and exercise OR regarding what tools work for us in the online community. In fact, if any of the others are reading these questions ... what tools online do you use to help?

Thank you all. Carol, I know you'll do well, I can tell from the tone of your post. All the best - CJ
