Morning, Chickies . . .

Imagine my delight to wake up to a covering of SNOW this morning. Oh well, sun for tomorrow and snow at this time of year never sticks around very long.

I think I might just pass on the new bed purchase until I lose another 50 pounds because that could make a really big difference to the quality of my sleep on any bed I get. Hopefully that will be an added incentive to get me moving and shaking a little more.

Have a good day . . . see you all later . . .

Have a great day, everybody

meowee, what if you never get down 50 pounds? Of course, I hope you will! But there's a thread in Support right now about putting things off until thin:

http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/showthread.php?t=139685

The nice thing about the Sleep Number bed is that you can adjust it as you lose weight. With a conventional bed, it may not be right for you later if it's OK now...

My thought is that you shouldn't put off getting something you need "until."

Good Morning, I so agree with you about not waiting "untill" anything to get the things that make life easier and more pleasant. Life is short, enjoy now!! Now, that said, it is good (for me anyway) to reward myself with little things for goals I acheve. i'm at goal weight, so it's not weight loss anymore. Maybe the amount of time you exercise? For me it's every month I don't gain.

The body shapers can be quite nice. They make things just look better, very smooth. I don't think I could wear them all the time (how did our grandmothers were girdles all the time?).

Linda, we got the snow this weekend too. And last week we had tornado warnings! Crazy?

Good point, Girls . . . Maybe I'll split the difference . . . I will reward myself with a new bed (probably a Sleep Number) when I break into ONDERLAND -- and I know I can do it . . .

Did my taxes in Feb. With DS2 in college I need to get them done early to submit the FAFSA on time.

I'm just behind tonight, not quite sure why. Went grocery shopping, then made supper and worked out. Finally sat down to browse and it is almost bedtime.

Oh, well - some days are like that

I'm sitting here, drinking a cup of hot lemon water . . . definitely not the same result as , but I have to go to the lab for bloodwork this morning and I can't even leave for another half an hour . . . this would have been a great day to sleep in but oh no not me.

It is going to be a gorgeous and sunny and mild kind of day, though and it's supposed to be just as gorgeous for the rest of the week.

Have a great moving and shaking time today everybody . . . . . . I'll see you later.

Oh, CD, the dreaded FAFSA! Sometimes my clients with college kids have paid me to prepare them for them.

meowee, I hope your blood drawing goes well and you can have something more than lemon water soon...

I'm going to be gone the rest of today and tomorrow, so I'll see y'all when I get back.

Linda - hope it went well today!

Yes - Jay - I totally understand why people pay you to do the form. It is a royal pain! Thankfully, the renewal isn't as bad - it actually remembers last year's info (if you fill it in online). And since we have lived here for 19 years. And dh has been in the same job for 30 years, and me for 16 years - things pretty much are the same

Tried a new biryani today. For a 5 minute prep meal, it wasn't bad at all. Threw in a steamer bag of mixed veggies and it was enough for DH and I and leftovers for lunch tomorrow. I am trying to shop Amazon's "deals" in their grocery section every month. Living in a small town with no ethnic foods available, it is a great way to expand our horizons when it comes to eating. The BOGO offer was too good to pass up. And we had to laugh - each package came with an Indian music CD packaged inside (4 different cds in all). I guess this is the Indian version of breakfast cereal?

I hope everyone is having a POP day! My weight loss has stalled this week, but I'm trying to be patient. I'm POP so I know that sooner or later that darn scale will behave. On the upside - I'm getting daily comments from folk I haven't seen for a while. Lots fo questions about how I "did it". No one seems thrilled when I tell them that it was prayer, calorie counting and exercise. Seems everyone is hoping for the "miracle" diet.

Good Morning . . .

This morning I slept in.

A nice downward 'blip' to 222.4 -- probably won't last; afterall one does not lose 2 pounds overnight anymore than one gains them in the same timeframe -- but it is nice to see it anyway.

We are having another gorgeous day with a high of 16C/61F predicted. Gotta it. No really big plans for me for the day but I will definitely be including sometime moving and shaking it outside.

Hope everybody else has a great one, too . . . see you all later . . .

She's baaaaack!

Well, we stayed long enough on our mini-trip with our friend to go to a chair yoga class for the "older folks" this morning. And I discovered that I actually have some age-ism.

I had been thinking that because it was chair yoga, it wouldn't be "real yoga" and therefore would be easy for someone as young as I. Where do I get these ideas! It was every bit "real yoga," and was a good stretching and workout even though there was no stress on the body because we were seated in chairs. Now I want to do more chair yoga! I enjoyed it a lot!

The day before, some of the folks were playing Wii bowling--and that was a riot. We had a good time with that, too!

And now I'm back and ready to roll again.

Hope you're all doing well!

Meowee, GFY on the sleeping in! Sounds good to me...I wanted to SO badly this am, but did manage to finally get myself up and off to the gym. I need it so badly after the way I've been eating the past four days (and gaining!). I did 30 min. stretch and breathe class and 40 min. cardio class. For some reason when I eat junky, I feel junky...all achy and tired, so it was hard to day but I know I'll be better for the exercise and so far have done well on my eating plan too.

Jay, I'm one of those "older folks" who takes a class called Yoga Stretch...it is partly done sitting partly standing but no floor work. And it is a workout! It's the holding the poses that builds strength and I love it! I missed it yesterday and can't wait until tomorrow when I can take it again. I also do a Stretch and Breath class (not a senior class) where I get standing, and floor work. It isn't really yoga although we do some yoga moves. I have the same great insructor for all my classes at the gym.

Hi all! I have a video called "Yoga for Inflexible People". It uses some of the chair poses. I like it, but I find that I push myself harder in some of those poses than I do in the regular pose

I'm celebrating a one lb. weight loss today. And this one is special. Unlike the other 70 times I have celebrated, THIS one puts me in a "normal BMI" on the graph in Fitday OK, I know - don't get too excited. It is actually normal only for a guy that is muscular (which is obviously not me), but - hey - I'm gonna celebrate anyway

Oh wow . . .

My tooth that had the recent root canal procedure broke while chewing on a lettuce leaf last night. Hope I can see the dentist fairly quickly this morning. Don't imagine there's anything that they can do to save it now though. A second little ; the weight blipped back up again this morning.

Actually the first one might be beneficial for the second one -- since I'm missing molar teeth on the other side of my mouth already, guess I will be relegated to a liquid meal replacement plan for a little while at least. Hey, you've gotta be able to find the bright side, right.

Hopefully, the day will get better. . .
