Do you see a gp or an endo?

I go to a nurse practitioner. A GP would be fine...if your GP feels you need to see an endo they will refer you. Take an honest hard look at all the things your body is telling you that are not what you think you should be dealing with and then discuss the symptoms as a whole with your doc. I have suffered constipation the majority of my life, have skin that thinks it is still a teenager, night sweats that started when I was 35, weight that would not come off despite a pretty healthy diet before IP, fatigue and my body thermostat seems to be broken...cold when I am up and overheating when I am laying down and severe joint pain in my elbows, wrists and hips. All those where the thyroid symptoms I was dealing with. Fortunately with meds and no gluten those symptoms are all gone for the most part. If I have gluten the constipation, acne and pain all come back within hours of the exposure and it takes a good day or more for it to work itself out after the gluten exposure...even on my thyroid meds.
Anyhow once you have seriously looked at all the things that your body is telling you talk candidly and honestly with your doc about it. Your blood results speak volumes but the info helps too.
