This goes out to those that have had RA for a while. Can it start attacking a joint overnight? I have RA in several joints now and today it has moved into my left elbow. It was absolutely 100% fine yesterday. It seems to be getting worse as the day goes on too. I'm having some weakness in the muscles in my left arm too. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

I have had RA for over 16 years. I do find it can attack a joint overnight. Sometimes I feel it coming on in the evening and I know the morning is going to be miserable. The first day will be the worst and then it generally will improve over the next few days.

Do you have a rheumatologist you see regularly? What have they told you?

Thank you for your reply. My arm seems to be back to normal now. It lasted 3-4 days. I have a rheumy that I see every three months. We are still in the experiment and see what works phase. Basically nothing is considered abnormal at this point.
