Wow, Guac. I should weed out my closet too, but I just keep waiting till I lose a bit more to get rid of my bigger pants. Did I ever tell you guys, I have a piggy bank, and put 10 francs in for every pound I lose? By the time I'm done, I'll have about 1400 bucks to buy myself a new wardrobe :carrot:
Veggie, I'm doing the c25k (again.) and am on week 5. I think it took us about 8 weeks to get here, though. Things keep getting in the way- for example, we were supposed to go jogging but DH wanted to go for a walk- which is great, but after a nearly 3 hour walk, no way are we going jogging! I think we've been going about 2x a week instead of three  Hello Niner's chick! Spring is the best time to try to get active. I have such trouble doing stuff in winter. My hibernation instinct kicks in :D Happy egg day, everyone; we're losing an hour over here, but at least we have a four day weekend to do it on! |
Magicsusan - what a great way to save money! Surely a motivation to lose weight and get some nice new clothes! I walked/jogged 4 miles last week, and boy was I sore! I really envy the people I see who are jogging the entire time, with no slow down time. I would love to get to that point!

Still here. Still doing pretty good. Gym twice recumbent bike at home once. Found a few more yummy low-carb meals the fam likes.
Guac, yay for you!!! 4 miles is nothing to sneeze at!It's nice that the hubs encourages you and participates. I LOVE purging! Makes things so much simpler! Your weight-loss stats are impressive! Magic, hi! Yes, I love the idea of rewarding yourself and getting a new wardrobe! Is your profile pic a picture of you or just one that you liked? It is beautiful! Veggie, we could start the C25K together if you're interested? I honestly am not a huge "baby"person either. My foster son should be going to live with his grandma in the next few months. I'm not sure that we will continue to foster after that. We are praying about it. I'm sure I will be a huge baby person once I get grandkids. :) I have to tell you all that I am doing something a little crazy on Saturday. I am getting my eyebrows tattooed. They have gotten pretty thin as I have aged. I NEVER wear make-up so I thought getting them done would help my appearance. I am investing in me a little. I am terrified though. :/ |
Hi ya Ladies!
Survived the long weekend and got the kiddo's back to school. It was a struggle. I always wonder about families with children love to go to school and are eager to go back during summer break. I must be doing something wrong. LOL I'm stressed today because the photographer is coming tomorrow morning to take pics of the house. DH is gone back to work and it's all on me to have everything looking good. So much to do and I just want to stomp my feet and whine about it....and play on the computer :) . NinersChick-I don't think that I can handle doing the C25K right now, even though I'd love to. You are brave to get your eyebrows tattooed! Cool. (But, have you Googled "4 eyebrows girl" ? Oh geez. ) Ok. time to flip the laundry.... |
Me too, Guac. I want to be able to do it, just for me, not for anybody else, just because I was always the fat kid and haven't run more than a couple of meters since I was literaly about 8.
Wow, Niners! How are the eyebrows?! Yes, those are my feet in my forest :) It's a little browner than that at the moment, though! Veggie, good luck getting everything done and no, you're not doing anything wrong. All three of mine hate school. |
Hi Y'all! The photo's are done and I got through it, barely. It's funny how the more you clean the more dirt you find...(not funny really) I am sore.
So, the plan was to have an open house next Saturday, but the agent booked it for this Saturday. Arghhhh! There was still things we wanted to get done. I think my house wants to get me in shape. Up and down stairs, lugging stuff... As a reward, I bought myself lunch. Salad and smoothie. Good for me, but I'm still thinking I would have enjoyed something bad like pizza, more. LOL Hope you are all having a lovely day. I picture you all out running through the fields getting skinny as I sit here on my couch.... :) |
I am failing at adulting at the moment. I started a new job and I'm so tired after work that I can't bring myself to prepare proper meals. I ate peanut butter out of the jar last night for dinner. Just peanut butter. That's it. Oh, and a Sprite Zero.
Sigh. I gotta do better than this. |
Vdawg, ohhhhh I shouldn't be complaining about work, because you're doing house stuff. That stuff is terrible and so stressful, hang in there.
Also, I did in fact drink the Guinness until there was none left. So lesson learned. Buy less Guinness next time. Welcome to the new Peeps. <-- Easter joke, ba-dum-dum. :) |
Mrs. Snark--Congrats on the new job! I hope you enjoy the work you are doing. Peanut butter and Sprite, huh? LOL Must be your fasting day? :) I hate "adulting"...so much responsibility. My mother was much better at it.
NinersChick-- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2jaef2PQ5Kw Not sure if you've seen this video. It's Dominique Sachse getting her eyebrows done. I had subscribe to her youtube channel a while ago. Not that I'm really into all that beauty stuff...I buy creams and do well applying them for about a month. Hope everyone has a great day! I'm off to a bigger city about an hour away for my daughters dentist appointment. She's already asking to get doughnuts or other goodies after. Seriously?! |
Hi all! Mrs. Snark, I hear you about "adulting." It is so hard to work and also do all the work involved in shopping and prepping and cooking food. Everytime you are able to do it, you should give yourself some kind of reward( (not food, but maybe money set aside for an outing, clothing, some item you have been really wanting)! I am sick of being the adult in my home that cooks everything. I am really burned out with all the shopping, prepping, and cooking. But, I know I gotta do it...I really have no choice because I am feeding a lot of other people besides myself.
I'm still plugging away at physical therapy, which hasn't made a huge impact on my back pain yet. I am on week 2 of my C2K program, and I am enjoying it. It almost seems too easy, but I do break a sweat, so I am sticking with it because I know it will get much harder. Weight is coming off at a snail's pace, but at least the scale is moving down. Have a great day, everyone! |
Adulting sucks.
Veggie, your video comforted me. The chick I went to doesn't do the microblading. She has a special instrument that her husband designed. It looks like I have powder on my eyebrows. So far I am super stoked about the results. I have bottles of face cream that I have used for a couple of weeks and then forget about too. There's never enough time to take care of everyone and ourselves. Glad that you have the photo part of selling your house behind you. Also, your open house would be today. I will say a prayer that you have some people wanting to buy and for all the timing of things to work out. I am definitely NOT running through fields. It is more like hobbling through Walmart. ;) Mrs Snark, thanks for the "welcome." Congratulations on the new job. At least you didn't eat ice cream for dinner. :) You look really fit. Great job at getting under your goal!! I honestly felt like it would be impossible to lose any weight after 40 until I came on and saw all of your guy's stats. Guac, have you seen the guacamole video? I can't read your name without singing it. I have been working on time consuming projects since February on top of having 5 kids with me all day and homeschooling 3 of them. I keep letting things get in the way of taking care of myself. My eating hasn't been too bad but I really miss my "me" time at the gym. No weight loss, but honestly I am only giving a 40% effort. :/ Hope you chicks are having a nice weekend. |
