Default Feeling Good February

Looks like we need a new thread so here's one! Let's try to focus on doing things that make us feel good, whatever that may be.

Snuggling with my puppy makes me feel good! How about you?

My daughter and her hubby got a new puppy, she's a mut and so so adorable. She makes me smile. I have a picture of her stretched out on the sofa on my phone that makes me smile

Aw, Rennie, pups are so wonderful, even as they are exhausting!

Hi Sum, it's so good to 'see' you! I'm doing pretty much the same, my weight is a little more than a year ago but it's comfortable. I've finally been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and have a doctor trying to help me get some relief from that; it would be so nice to finally feel rested after all these years. But the weather is beautiful, the fields are lush and green, my boys are well so life is good. How are you?

Cattails I am sad about your diagnosis, but happy that they finally found out what is wrong, and you can get some relief!! What is the treatment plan>

I am good! In Boston now, looking for apartments to move into.

Ah, slippers, how I do love them!

Sum, I'm on an antiseizure medication right now but it doesn't seem to be helping. There are other medications to try, and the doctor says I need to grow a fin and put this body in warm water, so we're shopping for a nice deep soaking tub! Doesn't that sound just lovely?

I am still mindful of my food choices but sometimes it is a struggle to care enough to make good choices. I am deadset on not regaining into the overweight range though - not gonna happen!

Sum, how do you like Boston? I've never been that far east but I sure would like to someday.

Anybody have fun plans for this weekend?

Well, Boston was snowed in; hard to tell 100%. My Realtor drove me around the area, South End, where I picked my apartment from and it felt really awesome; lots to do; restaurants;galleries... The apartment itself is beyond gorgeous! I am giddy! It is not big and seriously lack storage that us mid-western people are used to...but I think I will make it into a home.

Maybe you remember, we moved from 4000sq.ft+ home to 2000 sq.ft home two years ago? All a part of this plan to downsize even further...now heading for 1200sq.ft apartment

Ah, consolidation! Sum, will that free you up for more traveling? Speaking of travel, did you make a trip back home last year and if so, how was that?

We are having beautiful weather here, so sunny and warm (80 degrees in February?!) that I'm having spring fever! Feels like time to plant and grow stuff! Nurturing life in all of its many forms makes me feel good. How is your weekend going, everyone, anyone?

Yes we did. We took a trip in September and it was amazing. It was just DH and me. We stayed in Helsinki for 8 days, and walked around the city and visited every corner of it. I was so happy to show my husband all the sights. I think the best walking day was like 12 miles. We had a blast; a very first vacation just the two of us, since the birth of our kids. (My kids considered it as child abuse if they had not been included to our vacations). The we drove up north to visit mom. We did a lot of hiking and I acted like a tour guide and took him to see my childhood scenery.

I was so grateful to have today off from school. I was on a two day cruise and I ate and drank with reckless abandon...hate to see what the scale has to say rightnowso I'm not getting on it.....going back to low carb as of today, but I'm having some fruit with it also.

back to the grind in a snow storm.....had my oatmeal this morning as I will every morning this week. Not sure what my workout will be today, getting to the gym in this storm doesn't seem worth it to me...so after school i'll be doing one of my new DVDs , either Walking off the Pounds or the Beast workout.....hope everyone has a good day.

I like many and most of my children's teachers, but I had 4 favorite! Having lunch with their middle school music teacher today; I have not seen him in 6 years or do! That is my appreciation and feeling good item of the day! And yes, he is one of the four

Aye, lassie, we need somethin' to hold February and April apart! Yikes, snow storms - around here, we drive to the mountains to play in the snow. Whole different thing to go about your regular day in the stuff, I'm sure.

Sum, your trip sounds wonderful! How awesome to show your husband where you came from and also to have that time just the two of you.

It may not be the best thing for me but my feel-good thing right now is coffee, mm.
