Scale is bouncing around this week, 175-176. Annoying, but still, I think my eating is good...I'll have to track the average of the daily numbers to tell for sure, if the scale is going the right direction or not. Am at least getting my workouts in this week (which is probably why the scale is all over the place...about a million squats yesterday and rope climbs...I think my everything is swollen with water retention!)
LAgreeneyes- I know I never have post in here but I saw this and wanted to comment.
First of all, breathe. Honestly, I wouldn't call it a plateau (yet). You just posted the other day that you messed up. Give it time for your weight to stabilize after the water weight is all gone (I honestly doubt you gained 6 true pounds). Water is your friend!! Just get back on track and keep going.
Cheryl, thanks for the food tips. I never thought about freezing bananas, in fact I wasn't sure if you could. I guess I know now.
I weighed in at 173.8 as of this morning. I've been in the 170s for about two months now. I tend to lose pretty slowly. In fact, it took me almost 4 months to get out of the 180s. So I know I will get out of the 170s, but it may take a long time.

Hey all. Checking in. Weight is up, hitting 178 last few days, and mad cravings, so figure pre-TOM madness. Just hope it holds off till after the 4th. Food will be off plan tomorrow, I'm sure, but I knew it was coming. Myself and my friend Lisa, who wants to drop about 9 lbs, made a pact that starting on the 5th of July, we'd both go strict Paleo with the eating, and we'd make every workout count...no coasting through the workout or skipping because we're busy, or tired from a long day at work, etc. Hoping the diet tweak (basically for me it's just giving up table sugar and milk in my tea, and consequently drinking more water since black tea isn't going to have the same appeal) will help with getting rid of the belly flab. That is, if I don't go bonkers from sugar and caffeine deprivation and end up on the ten o'clock news.
I have spent most of the past 10 years in the 170s, but recently gained up to 201 (ouch) at the end of my last relationship. I'm back to semi-normal (for me) now, since I hit 179.5 this morning.
I have been losing about 2 pounds per week so as long as that continues, I should be here until mid-August. And then look out, because if I recall correctly, my figure is *much* cuter in the 160s.
I have NOT been fully OP. No carb cheats but sloppy lean and greens and non-carb alcohol. And I can see it by how much slower the scale is moving!!
I've been good for the last 5 days though and this morning I was down to 171.5 - half a pound away from a 30 pound loss. Are you surprised that I'm motivated and staying on plan and drinking my water reeeeeally well today?? And maybe going on a walk? And... and...
I did it - 171.0 this morning - I have lost 30 pounds!
Staying truly on plan always makes the scale come down for me. Unfortunately tonight is the birthday bash of a close friend - miiight not be on plan today. But I will still stay away from carbs and will be on plan on Sunday.
LAGreen don't be discouraged, you are totally making progress!

Amy, congratulations on the 30 lb milestone..woot! Hope the Bday bash wasn't too awful, and even if it was, just OP a few days should see the water weight back off the scale. (been there, done that, too many times to count, unfortunately!)
So, I'm here to report that I finally kicked the bleepin' 170s to the curb!
Sitting 167 this morning, and haven't seen the 170s for over a week, so I think I've got it licked, as long as I stay on plan...no cheats, no cheats, no cheats...lol!
Hope everybody is staying OP and having some success! I really had to dial it in and no cheats to get the scale moving and keep it moving the right direction. I failed at my "strict paleo" attempts after 4th of July, like my tea with sugar and milk too much, and am a big whiney baby, I guess, when it comes to that, so I just took control of what seemed easier, which for me is the food.
