Not sure if this 40-somethings group is members only, but I didn't know where else to share. Started with a boot camp/nutrition program two weeks ago, and just had my first weigh in. Lost 5 lbs. and my body fat went down 2% and I'm just so excited, I wanted to post it! In the old days, I wouldn't have been so excited about 5 pounds down in 2 weeks. Too slow for me. Now I can see that I'm in it for the long haul, and I'm heading in the right direction. Have a great weekend everyone, and thanks for letting me celebrate out loud!

Dear Body and Metabolisim
Here's the deal. I will exercise 5-6 days a week at least 45 minutes at a time. I will stay on my WW plan and not use ANY of the extra points that I could use if interested. In many cases I will even eat LESS than the daily points I am aloted. I will eat vegetables that I dislike and forego MANY of my favorite foods in order to acheive my goals. By doing all this I have calculated that I will be in a calorie deficit of AT LEAST 10000 per week. You, in tun, every Friday, will show at LEAST a 2# loss. Sometimes a 3# loss. That's the deal. Don't mess with me again. This bulls*&%t of .4 # loss will not be tolerated again. Understood?? :mad: |

This is my very first post
I just started at the Metabolic Research Center. My goal is to lose 47 pounds but if I could lose 60- even better. My start weight was 197 and I'm down to 194 today. 3 pounds down in 4 days--not to shabby.
This is the first time in my life I've been this overweight (just had a baby in December & the weight crept up). So- the journey begins. Thanks for the support! |

Down another 2# this week. It is strange, last week I exercised like crazy and only lost .4 whereas this week I didn't do any exercise (only dieted) and lost 2 pounds. Who knows??:shrug:
Next week might be a struggle. I picked up a weeks worth of consulting work so I will be busy working and around many temptations. I guess at some point I need to expose myself to all of the worlds pitfalls. Rather than what I have been doing, hiding in the house. Anyhoo, I love reading all your posts and am inspired by all your struggles and victories!:carrot::carrot: |

I was a little surprised because I worked all week and was sitting at a desk rather than up and about like I have been doing. SOOO happy to have kissed the 270's goodbye for good. :dizzy: This week will have its challenges too. We have houseguests coming for a few days and entertaining them always seems to center around food. But I am responsible for the choices I make and my intention is to stay on plan. We shall see... |

I'm at 165.5 today but I've stopped counting the cals >.<
I think I want to push on through October to the 150s. Doesn't seem like a bad idea with the holidays coming up to take off another 5-6. |
Holding steady at 148 .. I'm going to go back on IP in January and try to do the "cellulite" reduction plan. That will probably take me to 140 but I've never really been able to maintain that. We'll see what happens ...

yesterday, I consumed 3600 calories to pay my stress off. that pretty much wiped out a few days of savings. today is another day and feeling pretty good. walked 9 miles. ate better food. :) tomorrow will be even better. |
