Default Back on the wagon.

I had started gaining the weight back that I had originally lost and then I thought to myself - I'm going to be 46 in August and I just don't want to look like this at that age. Getting older is hard enough without adding more weight on. So, I have lost the weight again in the past 2 months. It has not been easy, but I have just come to the conclusion that it's mind over matter and I have to say that I feel really good now. I have lost right around 13 or 14 lbs and 2 dress sizes. I want to lose 20 more lbs and at least 1 or 2 more dress sizes. Nothing drastic. I like to look nice and feel good. So, I am going to do the best that I can to achieve my goals.

That's absolutely awesome that you were able to get back on track! I've done something similar as well. After getting close to goal, I started to binge eat again and sabotage myself....I got up to 190 lbs. just a few months ago and I started to panic. I got back on track and now I'm close to my goal again...a place that excites me and terrifies me all at once. I'm trying REALLY hard not to fall off the wagon. Congrats to you Iyv33! It's not easy to do and you did it!

I have gone through the same thing lyv33 - lost almost 30 pounds about 4 years ago and have had almost all of it slowly creep back on. I have used various excuses but the thing that really matters is how I look in the mirror and how I feel. I signed up again for LAWL (successful there the first time) and have re-committed to getting to 10 pounds less than I was the first time. So I have about 40 pounds to get rid of but I know it will be worth it! And you are right - it IS mind over matter!

Well, I for one want to feel even better than I do now. I still have a long way to go, but I am determined to get there. Hopefully, we can all make goal together.
