  • Thanks, Dee, and glad to be here. I am trying to figure out how to get the cool graphics you and some of the other ladies have for weight loss progression. Hope to have it, and progress, soon.
  • Hi FF2000 and Maddie. Welcome. I'm a newbie too. I think this looks like a great site for support too. I guess you can add tickers and graphics after 20 day and a certain number of posts, so keep on commenting!

WW weigh in is tomorrow evening. Hopefully I'll show a loss.

I'm On A Boat: I saw on another post that the site has been wicked slow since some new ads started, but running the program on Firefox instead of Internet Explorer makes it TONS faster.

Just finished an 11 hr day at school. Dinner, sleep, 2 mile walk in the morning. Have a good night!
  • I don't bite!
    Hi Kathi,
I am new to this website. still trying to figure out how to manipulate the website. Just wanted to say hello!
  • Jackie- Welcome, I myself are new to the group as well. So far they have not kicked me at all

    ange82much-
Yeap, my luggage usually takes a time out as well, but normally just a day or so. Welcome home.

Annie- I know about not wanting to do the workout. I did the 4 mile walk (CD) yesterday, was sneaking out today

    Old Hickory Chick-
    Welcome to you as well

    Dee-
    Quote:
Les - When I get a chance I will copy a couple days of my fitday & let you see what I eat.
I would really love that!!!!!! Lucky me, I am still alive, and the teenager is doing well. Still scary do. Good luck with your small succor team LOL

foodfighter2000- Welcome superhero! And yes, I agree, don't eat the little dog, or at least share. "Just joking of course"!

Maddie- Yes, with me is the same, when he is away I do LOTS better. He hast joined my diet efforts for a short time, but he keep asking for snakes, or is this all I am getting, or where is the meat!

    Kathi- Welcome

Even do I did not do my walk today, I still walked lots of dogs in the shelter, and of course made mt teenager help me with it. I think he is tired now, it is 8.30pm and he is going to bed. LOL Btw, do all the 15 year old boy's eat like a horse?
Well girls, my neck is hurting this evening, probably due to a sweaty head and hair being blown full blast by the car aircondition system. I never learn....

    Good night/daymorning!
  • Hey Les - do you work at a doggie shelter or something?
That would be my dream job!! (well sort of - except i'd be too sad at all the sad stuff)
  • lovingme- Hi to you!

ange82much- I am volunteering full time every day at the local NO KILL shelter. It has his up and downs, but I so love to find the right pairing of peeps and animals. Especially the dogs, since I am the dog coordinator there. But I do love cats just as much. It's just that the dogs need me so much more
    You got animals?

    Later Les
  • Good morning everyone!
My mini goals for today: Stay OP, walk 2 miles in under 30 minutes, finish my class prep work, laundry, weigh in tonight (hopefully, post a loss)

    Have a great day.
  • Crazy busy at work today so I will have to check in later. Thought you guys would like to know that I am going insane.

I got up in a rush with a million things to do this morning, jumped on the scale looked at it and said to myself aww that's nice. I think it said 188, but I honestly don't know for sure, it could of still been 189, I have no clue. I'm losing my mind.
  • Hi Everybody,
Just thought I would drop by.
It's so hot and humid here in Japan and it drives me crazy, just doing everyday chores is killing, I breathe and sweat. The living room has an air conditioner but the electric bill will be terrible this month. Still I have managed some exercise the past couple of days, to day I'm taking a break.

Les.....Hi, yep teenage boys can really put it away. I have two teens, 16 and 18, plus a preteen and they can really eat. I watch them and am totally amazed that they aren't sick.

Dee....I'm in the insane club as well. I teach English as a second language, yesterday was my first day back and talk about being muddled. I had one guy who had to read a passage from his text book. I look at him, smile and say 'Could you eat that please?'. The guy just cracked up and that was the end of any formal teaching.

Well I have a load of chores to do but don't feel up to it. Got to see that the kids are ready to start back to school next week. I am not a morning person so I really have a hard time with the early mornings that school terms mean. I am sure you will be hearing a lot of complaints on that front next week!

    Take care everybody

    Jackie
  • Went on the scale this morning and had a wobbly 99kg (217.8 lbs), with the tendency to 98kg. When I got home, I did have a solid 98kg (215.6 lbs.) I am sooooooo happy!!!!

Bought me a new jeans size 18 (Lee slender secret stretch) in black, because all my old ones size 22W are kinda not staying on me anymore
I know, I know it is not much and still a big size and I am still obese, but it is so nice to slowly sneak up on the overweight border.

I also stopped talking my evening blood-pressure pills and are still around 100 to 60 since two weeks. This morning I had 91 to 49.

I made pasta with tomato sauce today (homemade with veggie crumbles), and my teenager ate 3 heaping plates of it. UNBELIEVABLE!!!! He is so skinny!
I wore him out today again LOL

Dee- hang in there, it only can get better ROFL

I have a question for you all, with my weight, should I be jogging? I feel like running a LOT lately.
  • Foodfighter in the trenches
Hi, everyone. Thanks for the welcome, and glad to read how everyone is doing. I love the signatures you all have, expecially the one combating cakes, dodging donuts, etc., except I already forgot who wrote it - short term memory is shot!!!

I finally moved from Infrastructure to Application today: I used my new Elliptical ($50 Mad Bargain on Craigslist) wearing my new running shoes (snort - I'll never run again unless being chased by a hungry bear) and discount workout wear, sweating through the 20 minute Weight Loss program. I honestly didn't think I would make it, and if there were any ice cream in the freezer, would have rewarded myself. Instead, went to library and then bought dog food for the Yappy Little Dog who has been spared.

So, made dinner for hubby, played my Facebook games, and am fighting the good fight against cravings until I can go to bed.
  • Good Morning All!
I weighed in yesterday and had a 3 lb loss! I don't have a scale at home so the weekly WI is always a gamble/surprise.

Les and FoodFighter I love dogs too. Mine is an ancient mutt. Our walks are very slow but she enjoys them still.
Les Congrats on your successes. NSV are good boosts for the motivation.
Jackie How exciting to live in Japan! Have you been there long? Did you move there or are you a local?
FoodFighter Great deal on Craigslist! I keep looking for equipment but haven't found anything good yet...

Another busy day. I'm going to try to get to the library to check out the WATP dvd's before I invest in buying any. Have a good day!
  • Having a surprisingly good day here! Surrounded by temptation (today is baking day so lots of muffins, cookies and desserts) and I haven't even licked the spoon. I will admit the chocolate batter was really calling my name but I just thought of that nasty roll I have from my c-section and "POOF" the voice was gone! lol Another motivating factor added to the list...

Hubby and kids are coming home today from visiting the inlaws (hence the baking spree) so life will get hectic again. School starts here next Friday and I can SO not wait!! I love my kids dearly...but I also love peace and quiet!!

    Maddie
  • nice to see so many new names around here! Welcome to everyone.

wish i could do some personals cos there's loads of stuff i want to ask people, but i have to dash out and collect some friends from the airport in 10 min who are going to stay with us for the weekend, so i'm looking forward to that.

Les - i had a dog, but he died really suddenly (heart attack?) whilst frolicing on the beach a few months ago. He was 10. A great way to go for him, but a bit of a shock for the rest of our pack!! Still missing him, sigh.....

I've been perving at some doggie rescue websites recently (the dogs rescued from being put down by the pounds), especially 'staffy rescue'!!, but really i want to wait til probably about next feb before we get another as we've got heaps of travel lined up before then, so it just wouldn't be fair on a new dog - especially one that's had previous dramas.
  • Foodfighter fubar
Am I allowed to use naughty acronyms? Had a normal morning, although days are humid and 90's and miserable, have to stay indoors - had a Pure bar for breakfast and feeling VIRTUOUS. Then, inexplicably, my mouth overcame my brain and insisted that I have another Pure bar, after all, it's Pure!!! and therefore could not possibly make me fat(ter)! Once whetted, evidently, the appetite for sweet will not be denied. Having lost all virtue, I went back to the pantry, and finding only a jar of dark chocolate peanut butter, commenced to eat most of the jar. What evil is this?

Now, I am full of self-loathing and vowing never to eat again. Happily, I have a powerful stomachache and will not be able to eat anything until the middle of the night, when once again the food demon will set upon me. Where is my sword and shield, I ask? What kind of a superhero am I if I can't even control the motion of HAND TO MOUTH? Maybe I should be on another forum....
