Hello everyone! I took most of the weekend off from the internet. That is a good thing for me. I ate well this weekend and had an official Biggest Loser weigh in of 178 this morning. Still off by a pound with my "official" weigh in on my home scales, but shows a loss for the contest. I have a bad feeling TOM is coming this week and hope I lose the water weight by next Monday....the final weigh in for Biggest Loser.

Two big exciting things for the weekend....1) I bought a pair of black slacks in the ladies section (NOT plus size!!) in a 16 petite and they fit like a glove! Not a bit of elastic in the waist either!! I was so excited. 2) I had to tighten my watchband by one notch, it had gotten too loose.

The vet removed Tootsie's stitches, but had to apply staples as the upper part of the large wound opened back up immediately. Another week of the collar for her. She is doing well otherwise.

Bought the grill pan and did chicken breasts Saturday. They were really good. I plan to do burgers tonight and tilapia later in the week. Anyone have any tips or ideas on using the grill pan?

NewLeaf-Congrats on the size 12s!! I hope to make it to that point in the next few months.

Petra-Great job on the loss! Such a relief to see results, huh! Let us know what the vet says, I hope your dog is okay.

Marie-You look awesome, sister! So happy for you.

I know I didn't comment on everyone's posts, but you all are doing great!!

Have a good day everyone!

Annie, glad Tootsie is okay - congrats on the 16's and good luck with your Monday weigh-in next week for the finals.

I'm going to scan through the last 2 weeks of threads, but there's no way I'll be able to respond to it all.

Had a fantastic trip, 2 weeks with DH was a delight, the 1/2 marathon was a fun event and taught me a lot about myself...and in Hilton Head Island (on the way home) we got to see a rainbow forming over the ocean. It was lovely...just gorgeous.

Getting back on track this week, and I ate a mixture of healthy foods and treats, so I'm probably about 5 pounds from where I was, but going to let me body adjust back to my regular eating pattern for a few days and see where it levels out at. My TOM held off until the last day of our trip - couldn't ask for better timing, but sucky on the scale! LOL

Cheers to all, Deb

even though the picture is on the old thread, I'll comment here - Marie, you look FABULOUS! And really young too!

and glad for such great reports Lambchop and Annie.

I'm still sick but came to work to not get too far behind, and hopefully, keep myself distracted from feeling lousy.

Annie, bummer about the staples for Tootsie. Can you believe how on track you’ve been. You are really doing great!

Deb, welcome back. I hope you have pictures of the rainbow. I can imagine it and I bet it was awesome!

Peanuts, take care of yourself. Maybe work a half day?

Everyone, thanks for the compliments on the picture. DH took it for my parents since they were concerned the plastic surgeries would change what I looked like. They loved the pic so I think they’re ok with the surgeries now. I’m thinking losing 70+ pounds changed my looks more than that anything.

DH and I started up the doggie walks in the morning again. When the alarm went off at 4:30, it was so dark and cold. But the stars were gorgeous. I live in a rural mountain area and as we were walking, I’d turned my head toward the side of the road and my headlamp caught about 12 pairs of eyes reflecting back at me. After my initial panic, I looked and it was a herd of deer resting on the ground. It was so cool. The elliptical after work and leftover turkey for dinner. Even though it’s Monday, it’s a great day!

Hi Gang!

Well, the good news is the heel seats WORKED. And I also got a pair of those Sketchers Shape Ups. I feel like I have NEW feet. I even walked for 30 mins today.

Marie - Do love the new photo

Annie - Sorry Tootsie still has a lampshade. Great news on the 16s!

Hello to everyone. Got to run today.

Oooooh I was so bad tonight! Nothing that is going to cause my world to tilt on its axis or anything, but I was bad. Luckily I did pretty well on my calories/fat throughout the day, but I sure made up for it tonight. Back in the saddle for tomorrow!! Me and Leslie have a date at 6 a.m. in the morning.

I had a terrible day today. I'm glad it's over. Here's what happened at the vet's office. Turns out Kobe hasn't lost as much weight as I thought-only 8 lbs. Surprising that it could look like so much too me. At any rate, the vet was concerned about the excessive water drinking. She ran some basic lab work today but said even if that came back normal she would run some other tests because that usually does turn out to be something. So I guess it was a good thing I took him in.

Lambchop-welcome home. Glad you had a good trip.

Quick pop in...

AnnieDrews Love the typo! Just consider it one 'k' for each week! Sorry your night went bad... Tomorrow is a new morning!

LambChop Welcome home!

Petra I hope it turns out okay with your dog, and sorry that you have had a crummy day...

Wizzie Glad the heels worked!

Marie LOL re: the 70 pounds having more of an impact than a little tightening... You look great!

I had quite a strange weekend. I ate well on Saturday but was then UP 3 pounds on Sunday morning. Then I ate not so well on Sunday (Mexican for dinner) and was UP another 3 this morning! So I went from 160.0 on Saturday morning to 166.x on Monday morning!! I know there is no way I put on 6 pounds so I am chugging water, eating carefully, and hoping the scale is kinder tomorrow... Wow. I've never seen quite a gain like this! Otherwise all is well.

Hello! We survived our Build-a-Bear party on Saturday for my daughter! The girls had a ball (7 little girls, ages 4-8) It was crazy fun! But, honestly...what a racket , wish I had thought of it...they sell everything you can think of (underpants, leather jackets, roller skates, sunglasses, shoes, boots, and the list goes on) all teddy bear-sized! One can easily get carried away. First week of my new work schedule, so far so good...

Marie - Your photo is amazing, you look great!

Annie - Aw, poor Tootsie. I am sure she hates the collar. Our cat had surgery and needed to wear the same for almost 6 weeks, it was brutal. I hope she heals quickly.

Petra - Sorry for such a tough go of things...sometimes it seems like when it rains, it pours. I hope your pup is okay.

Lambchop - Hi!

Heidi - I love closet shopping, I have kept so many things with the hope to fit back in them someday. Congrats!

Peanut - Get better soon!

To all - Have a great week!

Heidi - Just saw your post about the 6 lbs, don't let it mess with you! That is just too strange, I can't see it as possible. I am sure you'll have the last laugh tomorrow morning.

Wizzie, great news that the heel cups worked. That’s excellent as well as getting a good walk in.

Petra, you’re a great doggie mom. Kobe is lucky to have you and you’ll get an answer. Sounds like you have a thorough vet.

Newleaf, I think you should drop kick your scale out the window. 6 pounds is ludicrous unless you ate 21,000 EXTRA calories. Give the scale a couple days to remember its manners.

Natalie, I’m glad the new work schedule is working and that you survived the 7 girl party. Eeks, I’d run screaming.

The elliptical made my arms and legs noodles tonight. I pushed it and my distance showed it during the 30 minutes. It’s sure a good feeling. My cals are at 1550 so I’m pleased with that since I snuck more dark chocolate than I usually allow in. So that I still stayed under 1600 makes me happy.

Marie-I wanted to tell you about something. Last night, I hopped on the elliptical thinking that with all the "walking" I have been doing with the WATP that surely I could do 10 minutes, no problem, right? I could barely do 4 minutes! I have always had really large thigh muscles, but that thing just kicks my butt. I think I have it set on the easiest setting, but it isn't the most expensive brand and the manual wasn't much help when I got it. Seemed like a bad translation and didn't give many details on the programs. I had really hoped I could work my way up to using it along with the WATP. Like you all said a while back, maybe it just isn't my thing. I am thinking of asking someone (I don't know who!) to take a look at it sometime to be sure I am using it correctly. So frustrating!

Well, that was a freaky ride! I was down 2 by bedtime, and down another 2 when I got up. Now just the final 2 to go; hopefully today. I have truly never experienced something like that!

Heidi, isn't it amazing how our bodies work? I know it would be more amazing if it was a 6 pound LOSS, but you gotta find amazing things where you can. I have a really bad feeling TOM is going to creep up on me right before the final weigh in next week and ruin my chances of winning that contest at work. I can easily see myself temporarily gaining 4-5 pounds during the first day or two of my period.

Well, I paid for my overindulgence last night after eating the greasy hamburger and chips. I got heartburn at bedtime and I rarely get heartburn at all. I wonder if it is because I am eating healthier most of the time? Oh well.....a caffeine free Diet Pepsi helped me "burp" a few times and feel better. Still felt guilty, but not letting it derail me.

I was able to do the 30 min. 2 mile WATP this morning and I felt good about that. I am really enjoying that program and I feel that is important for me. Enjoying it really makes it easier to get up 30 min. early every day.

LambChop-Glad to hear you are settling back into your routine at home.

PeanutsMom-Hope you are feeling better.

Marie-Loved hearing about your experience with the deer in the dark! Fiance lives out in the country and last time I was there, the frogs were waking up around the pond and in the woods during the day! I had never heard them so loud even on a summer evening. It was eerie, but cool. I suppose they were looking for their mates.

Wizzie-I've been wondering about the Skechers Shape Ups. I've always thought they looked a little funny, but I thought the same thing about Crocs and ended up loving them after I bought a pair.

Petra-Sorry about your bad day. I am praying for good results on Kobe's lab tests.

AZ-I hear you about getting carried away on the build-a-bear! Those outfits can get expensive!!

I hope you all have a great day!!
