OnMyWay, I am sorry for the results, but glad you caught it. Did your husband see it, how did you notice it?
That is what worries me being single, nobody to notice those hidden things.
I a sure you are going to be just fine and it will be more of an inconvenience than anything. Good for you to get out your Wii, I think I will too!
Still doing pretty good, walking every day and I tried on a pair of pants that used to be tight and they are snug, but I can get them on. I have one pair if jeans that is the one I want to get into!
Trying to not eat at night, I found the grapefruit with some sweetNLow is not bad!!!! I learned that here!
I try to save during the day, but find it pretty hard to save my calories, I am just hungry. need to add more fiber or something!
Glad to see you all posting and good luck to those that weight this weekend! I will post back!
wlw - I avoided the chiropractic professions for 38 years and ended up nearly having surgery on a perfectly good shoulder that had nerves aggravated from an old neck injury, manifesting as chronic tendonitis. There are horror stories, and there's "miracles" ... but I'm a believer. The horror stories and miracles dog the medical profession too! I think it's worth the time to find one that's schooled in the more recent technologies like NUCCA - they don't do any "cracking". Much more gentle. I only go about every two months now.
DS10 had my back last night, bless his heart ... I met a friend for lunch and was about 250 calories over going into dinner time, and wondering how to manage it. My wonderful kid says, "Let's go out. I like Subway best, and you can get a healthy choice there." It was a great "mom moment"!
Still hedging on the iPod - stuck on figuring out which size of memory I should get. I don't expect to have much in the way of video ... does anybody know if podcasts take up a lot of room? I have a lot of audio seminars that I'd like to add to it.
Becky - What a sweet mom moment. As for the podcast it depends if they are audio/video or just audio. Roughly, each 4G will hold about 65 hours of audio or 4 hrs. of video. Those numbers drop if you also keep pictures on it. It also depends on 'bit rate" of the file.
BTW - I have to hear the banana story you were talking about on the other thread.
I'm off to the dentist this AM then Costco. Will take a nap today before going down to LAX tonight..... I'm so excited!!!
ICU, where do you get your audio downloads?
Cruise good luck at the dentist and LAX. I fly out of Burbank as much as possible and try to avoid LAX. One time Iwas there I had to hit the deck as there was a shooter!
Did well last night, ate another half of grapefruit and ....saurkraut. Does that tell you how much I enjoy munching at night. Yuck, what a crazy mix and thank goodness not all at the same time.
Well, have a good day and willl post weight tomorrow, hopefully a loss!

ICU, enjoy your 149 picture. It was so motivating to me that I couldn’t resist. I love the toasted toenail. Something to remember your success and the hike. By the way, I use the otterbox for my ipod. I think an explosion in the pool could go off and my ipod would still be protected. I bought after reading reviews of the waterproof ipod cases and this one topped the list. When I got a new ipod, DS gave me a new otterbox for Christmas so my ipod touch would be protected as well. They sell an armband for it too.
WLW, oh my gosh, that would be so awesome to get a full scholarship. Please, please apply. I did my bachelors degree in the normal time frame after high school and pretty much wasted my parents’ money and my time. I went back for my masters when I was 30. It was the best thing I ever did. I went with the attitude that I was going to soak up every piece of information possible since it was my $$$ on the line and DH and I were poor. Graduated with all A’s and one obnoxious A- (can you tell it still bugs me???). Going to college as a non-traditional student is so much more beneficial. Maturity does have it’s rewards.
GivTLC, before my treadmill and elliptical, I used Leslie Sansone’s Walking series. I liked the 1 mile jog best but she has some decent low impact routines. I used them when I was in Bangkok for 3 weeks with no access to my normal exercise. I lost very little cardio fitness in the time because of the DVDs.
ICU, your son is precious. Subway – how cool. Ipod info: I use audiobooks a lot so I’m thinking podcasts might be similar. A ten hour book is approximately 100 MB. So on an 8 GB ipod touch/iphone, you could have 80 books. The videos take a bit more room, but not too bad because the resolution is small so the file size is smaller. I have an 8 GB iphone with loads of apps and about 250 songs on it. I use about 3 GB. My ipod touch is 32 GB and it has about 20 movies, 2500 songs and usually about 10 audiobooks at a time. I think I use about 20 GB of space. I hope that helps.
Cruise, enjoy the reunion. Know I am jealous!!!! But not of the dentist!
DMC – that was a disgusting nighttime snack. No wonder you are having such a hard time with nighttime munchies. BTW, I have been an audible.com member for about 8 years – I love audiobooks and find the $$$ well worth the piles of entertainment I get from listening to bestsellers, new releases and authors I just discovered. They have lots of sales/promotions as well to feed my habit.
Miss Sasha and I are off to the vet this afternoon. I took the day off and it’s gorgeous out. The dogs and I are going to walk in a little bit, then I’m going to elliptical. I got to knock another pound off my ticker. It surreal that I have 10 pounds left to my goal. The next pound off the ticker will be the single digits. I’m really trying to wrap my mind around it. I like the mind-boggling-iness of it all.
CAT and Marie - thanks for the info on the memory needs - that settles the issue. I'm going for the 32G. I won't have much video, but it will definitely be packed with music and audio. I will, however, find the Tabasco commercial with the mosquito and the guy eating pizza ... that NEVER fails to get me back into a good mood! And I appreciate the info on the Otterbox from a dedicated swimmer.
Marie - congrats on having the end in sight! I hope you're checking out the Maintenance forums, because you'll be there before you know it! And yes ... being at goal is a little surreal for me, and I only lost 25. Your task has required much more time and effort. How are you going to reward yourself? It should be something major!
dmc - I don't have audiobooks so much as I have a bunch of audio seminars on tons of topics that interest me. I just never have had a good spot to listen to them. In a few weeks, I'll be starting to swim for distance, and I'll have opportunities to listen to one for 30 minutes straight. Now THAT'S some awesome multitasking! As someone who's eaten sauerkraut out of the jar with a fork ... I congratulate you on your low-cal, tangy, gut-healthy choice ... but wow, anywhere near grapefruit? Sounds like you might be hooked on the chewing/full mouth sensation, to which I can totally relate. I think I went through a pack of gum per day last winter while I was breaking that habit. Gooooooood luck!
CAT, best wishes with the dentist - I hope that's the end of the crown debacle! Drive safely! Re the banana, just picture me getting caught in my cubicle at lunchtime, ruler in hand, trying to figure out where to measure a curved fruit from ... let's just say the guy's answer was "from the base". They love to take the longest possible measurement, don't they?
wlw - I second Marie's recommendation about school - same exact thing happened to me. (I had a B stuck in there, though!). You have so much more context to put new information in, when you're older. Go for it!
I'm so excited.... just got back from shopping and I tried on a size 10 dress and it was too big. The thought of trying on the 8 was scary but I loved the dress and there was no way I was going to buy something that was too big. I took the 8 to the dressing room and just stared at it for like 2 minutes thinking there is NO WAY this is going to fit but it did. I also found a pair of carpi's size 8 that fit. I guess it really does go to show they are making clothes bigger but sizing smaller. The 8's in my closet are still too tight.... had to come home and double check.... LOL
ICUwishing: With flu shots, I'm really thinking that if you would ordinarily get the seasonal flu shot, it makes sense to get both that and the H1N1. If you ordinarily don't get the flu shot, for any reason, it makes sense to not get the H1N1. I heard a story yesterday that the mainland European countries aren't even recommending H1N1 to any but the highest risk patients -- they didn't have as much of an outbreak as we did last spring and just aren't getting as excited about it.
patchworkpenguin: thanks for the link to the size thread -- very interesting!
weightlosswanted: good job on the 1 bite of cheesecake! Hope the scholarship works out for you! And, I'm another with nontrad student experience. Being an adult learner is great!
GivTLC: yay for staying on the food plan! Do you have any room to yourself? I exercise in my office, watching exercise videos on the laptop. Or, take the opposite approach and involve the whole family -- anyone who steps into the living room right now is doing Walk Away The Pounds!
dmc2009: great job on the consistency of your walking!
CruiseCAT: Have a great reunion! Yay for the size 8 dress!
Marie: way to go on another pound!
I can't remember the last time I've seen sunshine. Maybe tomorrow. I'm roasting sweet potatoes for a salad at family gathering tomorrow. A cozy warm smell for a cloudy day. The leaves in our yard are yellow -- so at least we have something bright to look at.
