Default I've decided my BIG GOAL is to practice Self Love.

I have decided once again >>>> no major behavior changes or food exclusions ! As in , sitting *only* at the table to eat, ( as I happen to love eating my food while emailing my penpals. ), or counting anything, ... or to ride my windtrainer (bike) every morning... or my bike 3 x week, but just to hike more, as I've always enjoyed the hiking w/ dog from our doorstep. No radically new methods that I can't keep up for life.

This may sound like I am abandoning a program, but really , I've not had one to begin with. I study my behaviors and thoughts ALL DAY (no kidding), figure myself as extremely self aware, so really, it's a matter of discovering what makes me tick, what makes me feel self-confidence and self-respect, and then surrounding myself with associations with it. Mastering Self Love will happen I know, as I learn about what makes me feel crappy, and luring myself out of it (not by imposing weird behaviors, but by visualizing happiness, in whatever way I can imagine !) Most succesful lately has been the awareness that my unhappy streaks , kneejerk reactions, are merely neural networks, which have complete plasticity and can be changed readily, merely by being aware of the fact ! (reference to book "Evolve Your Brain" by Joe Dispenza, which I recommend).

I’m not backing down out of my setting/achieving goal thread, I’m merely fine-tuning my striving and disciplines.

Most importantly, I have been thinking about how I must attach emotions of positiveness >> in order to change, and be hyper aware of stopping attaching negatives ( shame, revenge, anger, frustration, anxiety, fear, general neg. self talk) to anything I do, especially eating ! So this means when I eat, I practice Self Love. That simple.

Good for you

I find eating without any distractions other than maybe someone else at the table makes me enjoy my food more- when I eat while doing another task I don't really realize I ate!

good luck too you on your journey. i have found with myself that my self love is in high gear when I am thinner... I think it has a lot to do with feeling better about my self and I have also noticed my hair is longer when I am thinner and love myself lol! so when my self love goes so does the hair!

I do think mindless eating often comes from a negative emotions place. same for picking foods that feed us in the best sense; healthier, tasty foods feed our palates and our spirits and our bodies in a positive way.
