Question Curves?

Does anyone here go to Curves? My mother-in-law goes and is gonna get me a free 1 month membership. I was wondering if it is worth it? I have no idea what the cost is...Thanks

I am not a 40 something but I have been to Curves. I really didn't care for the one near me. The staff just didn't seem to care not at all like what you see on tv. It got to feeling like a regular gym to me which would have been cheaper. I think if your curves makes you feel welcome and they work with you to get the most out of your work out then it is worth it.

Go try it out for the month since it's free. I've not been there, but I have talked to a physical therapist that said they do not give enough time to do the sets properly. You may not get to work on proper form, which is really important. It's better to less exercise with the right form than to exercise improperly and get hurt.

I checked them out once while I was out of town for a month and I wasn't impressed. I then did some research on the internet and decided Curves was not for me. If you "Google" Curves that might help you make your decision.

Thanks! I definitely do not need to be "rushed" through the exercises and end up injured even more than I am already. Man o' man! Since I have gotten heavier and I am just now 40...I am soooooo conscious of not getting hurt!!!!

I would say to go for a day and look around see how the staff interacts with the members and see if you feel rushed or if it is ok. I know the first day is usually free anyway so you can try it out and see if you like it or not.
