Question Fluctuating thyroid levels?

Hello everyone –

Have any of you other 40-somethings had issues with wildly fluctuating thyroid levels? For the last 8 months, I’ve been having blood drawn every 4-6 weeks with my thyroid prescription getting adjusted every time. My Levothroid pills have ranged anywhere from 100mcg’s to 150mcg’s during this time. I don’t know whether this is an age thing, per-menopausal issue, or just my wacky body.

I know the next step should be to see an Endocrinologist. Just curious to know if anyone else is experiencing this and if so, have you received any answers about cause.

What a PITA. I can't say it has happened to me (I can't remember the last time my dosage got changed) - but I can imagine how frustrating it must be.

getting it figured out.
