Food addiction is a problem for many and yes, it does include obsessive behavior as any addiction will. (I can vouch for that, personally)

When you constantly obsess over what you are eating, how much of it is available, what you will eat next, how you can sneak off to binge, etc., etc. - that's a food addict.

I think I would prefer to try to overcome my food addiction without meds if at all posible but we all must do what works best for us as individuals.

I am always thinking about food but today is especially bad. It is taking every last ounce of energy for me to keep myself from binging. It would be so easy to go to 7-eleven right now and buy a bunch of empty carbs to chow down on. I cannot stop fantasizing about it.

It's not worth it surfergirl. Opt for something filling and healthy, then it will become a habit over time. The only way to kick a bad habit is to replace it with a good one. I cannot tell you how many times I would binge on french fries, pasta, bread - you name it. I felt terrible after it was done and I SO don't want to feel that way anymore.

I wasnt much of a food addict until i graduated high school and moved to FL with my now husband... We would go out every other night and eat, ALL the time... i also eat when im bored, sad, depressed. I packed on the pounds before i knew what hit me.... it makes me sad looking back on it, i only needed 50 lb to be my ideal weight, now i have to lose 150...

Seemingly, things are getting worse for me.

I am finding myself obesessing over food again and i hate it.

Another thing that comes with my "problem" is eating very quickly. I have gained 4 pounds in two weeks and I feel horrible. I have 60 pounds to lose to be healthy and I am going in the WRONG direction...

I've got to pull it together, I'm too young to feel and look so OLD.
