Okee . cant talk for long .. too tired .. prob have typos please excuse ...
just need to know something ... if I am working on my feet for 8 hours ... do I count that as exercise??? My feet, back, and legs are SOOOOOOO sore tonight!! I can hardly move rofl .. all I want to do now is go to bed and sleep.. TOM being here in major appearance isnt helping me feel any better either!
Have my hours for next week .. this part time job is turning into an almost full time one! Monday 11.30am - 8pm .. Thurs/Fri/Sat 8am-5pm OH MY ACHING BODY!!
Sorry I cant do personals .. my mind and body just wants to turn off lol .. but please know I am thinking of you all .. and try to get in to read a little but my eyes are hurtin so I need to nap lol ..
Huggies everyone that is having a hard time with staying OP or exercising ... this week work has put me in so much pain I havent done any extra exercise which is why I was wondering if I can count that for exercise?? rofl .. if I was sitting down all day I would think of course not lol .. but Im on my feet the whole time except a 30 min lunch break ... oh and a 10 minute morning and afternoon break which is really only long enough to go upstairs (OUCH!) get a drink of water and then go back down lol .. I keep telling myself it would have been a lot worse if I hadnt done all that exercise the last few months .. but my body is really rejecting that arguement lol ..
I am SO glad it is the weekend! I thought it was never going to get here! I went to lunch with some co-workers today and had Sushi for the first time ever. I was NOT looking forward to it because just the thought of eating sushi has always made my stomach turn .. but you know what? I actually LOVED it! I had california rolls, crunchy shrimp, and small part of the godzilla roll. Yummay! I have not even looked to see how many calories that was so I have no idea how much I might have blown it today .. but I had a very light dinner just to make up for the lunch. I will have to check tomorrow to see just how much I need to make up!
WTG for all of you who have met or are close to meeting your exercise goals! I really need to get some so I can get on track with my eating and exercising! But just reading the progress you all have made has really helped inspire me to be more serious about this. I am setting a goal of 120 minutes of exercise from now until this tuesday before I go out of town for the holidays. That is a half hour each day ~ it may not be much but atleast it is something! My fiance said he would keep going with me to the gym if I wanted. I don't think I ever posted back on how it was going with him working out with me, but it has not been all that bad. He definitely didn't turn out to be the drill seargant I thought he was going to be. So, Wish me luck on my reaching my goal!!
Melissa: I think that hair color would be really pretty on you! I say go for it!! Let us know how it turns out, take a pic or something. Sorry to hear about your TOM problems. I would follow everyone's advice and see a doctor for that, there might be something more serious going on. Anyway, I hope you are feeling better soon.
Toofat4u: on losing a pound. Each and every one counts!
Seattlegrl: Congrats on your new pant size! That is Great!!!
Well, I am off to bed. I have lots to do tomorrow ~ shopping mostly! But I need to get some done and I refuse to go shopping on "black friday" and fight all of those crowds! I hope everyone enjoys their weekend!
Just a quick good morning before im off to work, this is one of those really busy weeks/months for me. Hopefully, i will have time to do personals tonight. NANCY: Have a great vacation! We will miss your posts I hope everyone has a wonderful day. See you tonight!
Just a quick news about my dad. He had a rough night He's been ill for a long time, has a severe case of diabetes, and has a really poor heart and kidneys cos of it. Now he has a cold and a kidney infection and still has a high fever. That’s is really BAD. Im going to see him in an hour hope I’ll get some better news. My mum is feeling so down now…and its kinda interesting as they fight a lot, but still they just cant stand being apart
Im doing well last couple of days, my hunger still didn’t go away but I manage to fight it well lol its helping being too busy now, and yes sexy male assistant would be very distracting now
Im sorry I cant do any personals so Im just giving everyone a and hope you’re all well!
Quick post before bed. I'm pretty tired after a busy day, and looking forward to another busy one tomorrow. My fingers don't even want to work properly typing this, so please forgive any errors.
Yesterday's trip to the zoo was wonderful! We had a couple of heavy showers very early in the morning, which worried me a little, but then it was fine and quite warm and sunny for the rest of the day. Our kids were wonderful, as usual, and everyone had a beautiful day.
Today hubby and I did the grocery shopping early in a very large mall, (well, large for here anyway) then we did a couple of other bits and pieces of shopping before having a quick lunch and heading into the city centre. We went for a walk along the river and watched the planes practicing for the Red Bull Air Race which is on tomorrow. It is a pretty special world-wide event and this is the last 'leg'. The single-propellor planes have to fly their way through an obstacle course over the river. Today they were just doing aerobatics, but it was still wonderful to see. We also had a jet flying quite close, and even though the noise was deafening, it was SO exhilirating (sp?) to watch. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to go in tomorrow and join the other couple of hundred thousand people to watch the actual race.
So, we quickly finished a bit of shopping in the city (more books... oh dear) then we caught the train home and went out again to look for foldup chairs. I am still not able to sit comfortably on the ground, even though I've lost so much weight. We found some really good ones that come in carry bags. So we have decided to pack our morning tea and lunch, and head in quite early. We are going to start by stopping in at the markets to get our fruit and veg, then head into the city. We are hoping to get to walk around and have a look at the planes and meet a few of the pilots before the racing begins. We are taking Neil's digital SLR camera and the video camera, so hopefully between us we will get some nice pics.
That may end up taking up quite a lot of the day, so I have NO idea whether I will get my report comments written or not, but I think it will be worth it to have the break. I was hoping to get reports finished Monday (due in Friday) but it may take me until Tuesday. Not a problem.
Well, I am off now. I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend.
Ammi -- I am SOOO glad you hear you are fully back on track. That is inspiring to me. I still am not, but I'm working on it. In my defense, hubby had some great news yesterday that warranted a bit of a celebration. I plan to be back on track today!
It's been 2 weeks since I declared non-obesity and I swear I have not seen 179 since. This morning it finally hovered back around 180. I know it will go back, but I feel a bit sheepish declaring victory and then going back up. Tho, thinking about it, that happened a bit when I hit 199 too! I also know I haven't been eating the best and that if I had, I'd be more likely to be down again. Ah well, I have to keep taking my own advice -- stop focusing on the the scale and all will be fine.
Nancy -- We'll miss you, but thanks for the great reminder!
Katt -- Well, you can count what you want, but usually we count intentional exercise and exercise that we have to motivate ourselves to do! I'd be inclined not to count work-related movement, unless it;s really strenuous. Take heart -- I have a feeling that in a few weeks, you won't notice so much!
Rayne -- I LOVE sushi. Much of it isn't bad for you, but I tend to stick to the sushi that isn't fried and doesn't have a lot of "sauce" on it. I have some rolls and really love just a piece of fish on rice -- those tend to be lower in cals. Some of the special rolls can be high.
WTG on the exercise goal! 30 min a day actually sounds high, esp if you are just getting started!
Good morning, everyone! I finished putting my Gazelle together this morning but have not tried it out yet. That will be later this afternoon. I HAVE to get my car taken care of today because I am driving to Iowa on Wednesday. It needs the oil changed, new headlight, and it desperately needs to be cleaned. I am going to use the time I am waiting for it to relax and read my book. I am currently reading an Elvis Presley biography called "Last Train to Memphis." I just love the King!
I have some other shopping to do after my car is finished and then I will come home and give my Gazelle a spin! Can't wait!
Ammi - Glad to hear you are able to get back to you exercising without any back pain!
Nancy - Have a great vacation. I will have to check out that Jeeves and Worster show you mentioned. I've never heard of it but if Hugh's in it I'll have to give it a try.
Zelma - Sounds like you and your hubby had a lovely day. Makes me wish I had someone special to have a lovely day with too.
Lavendel - I hope your dad rallies and gets better very soon.
back to MariaLucia and Vicki!
OK, I gotta run. Have a great Saturday! And I hope to report back this evening on my experience with the Gazelle!
I just came home. This man=my dad really needs to get some He would be so much better if he'd only listen to doctors and let them treat him. He thinks he knows best Well anyway he is much better now, so im glad, but he really makes me mad.......grrrrrrrr
Im tired so Im off to bed. Everyone have a lovely weekend
I can’t believe how slow it has been here today. I haven’t had chance to check in until now, and it’s gone 10 pm, yet we are still on page 2 of the same thread I posted on last night. That’s so strange after how fast the threads have been going during the week. I am not moaning though, because at least it will be easy for me to catch up
Patti - I am glad you are feeling much better now. Let’s hope that you can drink plenty of water, stay OP and get the exercising in so that the FFM will take more from you on Friday
Missy - I am glad you have decided to get your hair done. Now no talking yourself out of it before mid December
Katt - I am sorry you are in so much pain from standing all the time in work Just think though, the longer you are there and the more weight you lose, you will have an awesome NSV when you can do a whole shift and not end up aching
As for if you can use the time as exercise, I don’t know. I guess it depends how much walking you do. When I worked in a huge DIY shop I did a lot of shelf filling and facing up, and a lot of walking from one end of the shop to the other. It was the most exercise I have ever done in a job lol.
Rayne - I am pleased to hear that your fiance didn’t turn into a drill sergeant at the gym with you. Knowing that, then I say take him up on more visits to the gym together. It might make it easier to make your exercise goal.
Erika Leigh - I am glad that you are managing to keep your calories up
Kymberly - hope work wasn’t too hectic for you.
Lavandel - I am sorry to hear about your dad being poorly, I can understand your frustration on him not listening to the doctors orders. I hope somebody can get him to see sense. to you and your mum, it’s hard watching somebody you love being ill. I am glad he is much better than he was when you wrote your first post about him.
I am glad you are managing to fight off your urge to eat because you seem hungry all the time
Zelma - I am pleased to hear that the trip to the zoo went really well.
I love your plans for the weekend, I hope you will really enjoy yourself and that you don’t get too deafened by the noised of the planes
Raven - I am sure you will get back on track 100% with your exercising. I always think that the ladies here like yourself who get the exercise in despite having jobs are amazing. Don’t be hard on yourself if you don’t manage it sometimes. Do your best, that’s all you can ask of yourself!
Heather - it is odd to hear that I am inspiring you, it’s always the other way around. Just a thought, do you think that part of the reason you are having a treat or two too many lately might subconsciously be linked to the fact that you did indeed hit the no longer obese weight? You might be thinking you can be a little less strict now. I know with me that as soon as I start feeling better about how I look then I have to fight not to give up dieting, or to not allow myself too many treats. That’s where I went wrong on the week I met Sharon. I said yes to letting myself have a meal out with no attempt at making good food choices. I then had Daren and Caleigh’s birthdays and I said yes to having meals out, again without making good food choices. I didn’t make the effort I should have been making, and it was all because I was getting a bit complacent. I gave myself a good talking to though, reminded myself that although I have done so well to lose the weight I have, I am still obese. Still too fat to do a LOT of things. Still too fat to buy clothes in any show I want to. I have the same amount of weight to lose again and I am going to do it.
I am sure by the time you read this you will have already gotten back on track 100%. If you haven’t then I know you will, I have every faith in you
Xena - did you get to work out on your Gazelle yet? I can’t wait to hear how much you love it
Ok time to go check my emails, or I might play a game on Pogo. I will check in before I go to sleep.
Xena SO glad you got the Gazelle put together! I too can't wait to hear what you think of it! LOL I finally put the computer on mine BUT there are two little screws that it says to insert but doesn't really say WHERE but shows a little picture of them going up from the bottom. Except there are no HOLES there or anywhere else that I can find... so I just left them out and it seems to be working fine. SHEESH!
I also had to go buy a new microwave because I set mine on fire (literally) by using it on low as a timer and I had left a Corningware saucer in it. They DO melt LOL. I smelled it and opened the door, and flames burst up. Yikes! Was able to put it out easily though.
Hope everyone has a nice weekend! Keep moving everybody!
Sue - sorry you had your microwave catch fire! That kind of happened to me once. Beth put a pancake in the microwave, asked how long to put it on for, I said 6 seconds, she thought I said 6 minutes. It wasn't long until she came running upstairs saying that there was all smoke coming from the microwave! I went to see the damage, and boy oh boy, who'd have thought a pancake would end up making yellow smoke billow everywhere. It stunk to high heaven too so I had to get rid of the microwave, throw out all the plastic dishes that were sat on top of it, and then wash all the walls down. Oh boy it would have been much simpler if I just heated the pancake for her
Anyway, glad you put your fire out without any incident. Is your new microwave a much better one?
