Good morning, everyone! I can't believe it is Saturday and I woke up at 4:45 LOL but that is so typical for me!

Lavandel, I liked your comment about people sticking around "making it" -- I agree that staying active in the forum is very positive in helping to keep us on track! Also, sorry about the problem with your bf... hope things work out okay for you. Just a thought... but my Mom always said "You catch more flies with honey than you do vinegar."

Ammi... now you are really going to have to start sharing that FFM, ya hear? But I am glad she is being so nice to you! Eventually she will get around to visiting the Seattle area!! "Kind" is certainly not a word I would use to describe her lately! Ha! Thanks for the PMs helping me with the great advice! I really appreciate your input!! And thanks for the ******s recipe... LOL I think I will pass! Ewwwwwww!

Kayley, I know how you feel about hoping for a goal and because of the stall not being able to make it. Normall I don't set "time" and weight loss goals but since I planned this trip to Fort Lauderdale and the cruise, I wanted to be in OneDerland by then... first of February... but with the FFM being totally silent for the past two months almost there is no way I can make it. Normally I give myself goals that it is up to me whether or not I make them... so I changed my goal to having my bronze medal on president's challenge by end of November and the silver one by the trip... gold by my birthday in May. Oh and I am relatively sure the challenge will still be there as it has grown to this from the President's council on Physical Fitness started by Eisenhower in the 50s. The site is so easy to use. There is a drop down list... which you can personalize from their big list... and you can enter in as little as 5 minutes at a time of activity and they count the points for you. Household activities also count so often even before work I will go do 5 or 10 minutes of loading or unloading the dishwasher, etc. - there are light, moderate or vigorous choices. Of course you don't get a whole lot of points for that but it does help to make the 750 if you are close. One evening I even got the old food cleaned out of the refrigerator for 30 minutes since I needed the points. It's a great motivator.

Wow so you are getting snow! We are back to our usual winter rain, which I absolutely love! I got a lightweight waterproof jacket with hood to take to work so I can go walking at lunch. Yesterday was gorgeous... pouring rain (at least for us... most of you would probably consider it light LOL). Before I left for work I grabbed an extra pair of pants to throw into the car and was glad I did... I had to change pants after my lunchtime walk. But ahhhhhh how refreshing!! We have snow in the mountain passes.

Angel, yah you are right the threads do move fast here! But don't worry if you can't keep up; happens to a lot of us LOL. I have to be careful as I am such a computer junkie but don't want to spend my exercise time writing posts on 3FC! Just come when you can and be a part and if you can't do personals that is fine too! I try to do them every once in a while but unfortunately I am sure I miss people! Sorry your hubby is not very supportive; perhaps you can find things to do to help him feel more secure and reassured that HE is your #1 and only man!!

Nancy, I know what you mean about hesitating to do things with friends because of lack of physical ability. I was getting to the same place and ended up staying home a lot of times just because it actually HURT to go out and do things, especially because my boobs were SO gigantic I just could not lug them around. Even though I still have a long way to go weightwise, it is so nice to be able to DO things now! The boob problem is still there as they are still really large... but now they are just uncomfortable and badly in the way; and now there are actually times when I see people with bigger ones especially at the pool! But I am glad to see so many really heavy women out there doing the water aerobics and trying to get in shape! Good for them! And I admit it IS nice not being the "biggest one" there. Nancy you have lost SO much weight! Good for you! You must feel wonderful!!! Keep up the good work!

Raven, good for you for putting the exercise as a priority! That is just what we have to do sometimes! I am so glad you have joined our site!

Michelle, so glad your shoes came in and you like them! Hmmmm I may give New Balance a try next time. The ones I have are Brooks but I will NEVER buy them again even though they are supposed to be so good! For one thing they weight a TON... so much so they are hard to walk in... also the toes came out of both shoes in a very short time even though they are plenty big enough. In fact I bought men's so I would have more room in the toes.

Patti... hope you are over your cold soon! Glad the FFM has been kind to you! At least I know she is still around and active, so maybe there is hope she will come back this way someday! I will NOT give up no matter how much she ignores me!!!

Katt.. I did a double take when you said you were going to Woodville... I live just down the road from Woodinville! on your weight loss! Nice going! Congratulations! Glad you are getting the elliptical! Be sure to post how you like it! I can't wait to find one and get it! When I do I think I will put the HealthRider on Craigslist.

Lesley, I am glad you found us also! And yes, I can assure you there will be all kinds of support and encouragement here! And hope you too are able to reassure your hubby and make sure he knows he is "the man" for you!!

Andie, hey I see that ticker moving to the right! Good job!!!!

Valerie, wow, you job sounds intensive and hard! But glad you are doing so well on it and the eating too! Yippee for you! It sounds as if you are going to get lots of physical activity!!! :weight:

Andie, I posted briefly earlier, but I am so sorry about your brother. I am sending
hugs as well as God's special comfort for you. I understand as about 1-1/2 years ago I got the same kind of call about my brother... then last September my Mom died. I care!!

Jill... wow that is so hard when you can't seem to lose weight! But I am so glad you have not given up and are staying right in here! Sending a HUGE hug! And I agree about the ads... on most sites I would want rid of them but I figure I get SO much from this one that if I can find one of their sponsors and support them, hey, I will be happy to do so! Plus, as you said, some of the ads are very beneficial to me.

To everyone else... have a special Saturday and stay OP!!!

Hugs to all

Dearest Annie, I cannot say how sorry I am for you & your family, though I don't believe in God I will be thinking of you and hoping your beliefs help you through this awful time.xxxxx
Katt, great on the eliptical AND losing 4lbs, you are doing so well!!!! xxxx
Lavandel, guys can be so STUPID at times, if I'm late by a few minutes my hubby is ringing me, if he's late, he 'forgot' or was 'talking to someone', huh, give him a boot up the bum from me !!lolxxxx
Valerie, glad you are enjoying work, all that lifting should be giving you a good workout!! Kiss your horses for me.xxxx
Kayley, glad you are feeling better now. Even if you don't reach your target you have lost so much, so fast a few pounds either way won't STOP YOU BEING A SUCCESS LOSING WEIGHT!!! xxxx
Leslie & Angel, my youngest is 3 1/2 and I know EXACTLY how you both feel, even going to the toilet isn't private anymore, that's if you get time to go!!lol He is clingy and seems to cry loads more than my older two, though I think it's his age, tantrums & crying seem to happen a lot between 2-4 years.xxxx
Ammi, I crossed my toes!! for you having a good weigh-in, though if past weeks are anything to go by you won't need any luck. xxxx
Misti, you look younger & slimmer in every photo I see of you and I think you shorter haircut knocks years off you too.xxxx
I forgot what else I wanted to 'say' but I'm up another 2lbs BUT TOM has arrived so that explains the black mood the other day & the 2lb gain. I'm stealing your five thankfuls, Katt
1 The sun has been shining, the sky is blue and it's cold.
2 We have a little mouse which comes at dusk each day to visit my vegetable waste bucket (ready to go to the compost heap) He is SO CUTE.
3 TOM has come so I know why I've been feeling grotty & tired.
4 We are going to a bonfire night party tonight.
5 I walked through lots of crispy Autumn leaves, which I love doing.
xxxsharon

Good morning ladies!
Nice cold morning again today. Weighed in this morning & lost 1 pound. Goodbye 290's (hopefully forever) & hello 280's!

Ammi: Thanks for the info on the ******s, lol. Now I don't have to wonder anymore. I don't think it will be something that I will be trying anytime soon though.
with your weigh in.

Valerie: Glad you are enjoying your new job. Sounds like alot of work & long days. But I'm sure the money will be worth it!
Congrats on your new low number

Angel: Your DS sounds cute. I've heard many people say that boys are alot more work then girls when they are younger, then the roles reverse when they turn into teenagers!
Some days I want one more, I miss the baby days. Other days I an stressed and worn out and swear I don't want anymore, lol.

Katt: Congrats on successfully eating out. Eating out kinda worries me too because you can't tell what they are putting in the food or cooking with. I am going out next Saturday because some of DH's family is coming for a very brief (a few hours) visit. No clue yet where we will go but I will try to stick to grilled chicken & veggies. Ever place has grilled chicken, right?!
Yay for your elliptical. I'm sure you will be kicking butt on it in no time.

Lavendel: Sorry your bf is being a butt head. Give him a for us.

Michelle: I totally understand your apprehension of going to the doctor. I hate going to the doctor & don't go unless absolutely neccesary. When I was pregnant it was like tortue because I had to go to the doctor every month then every week and was weighed & saw naked and all that. I got use to it but I still hated it. There is no easy way to get over that. Its just something you have to do. I knew that I had to go & get through it for the sake of a healthy baby. You have to go & do it for the sake of a healthy you. Cancer, in any form is not something to mess with! Good luck and I hope it all turns out ok.

Annie: So sorry about your loss. You, your brother & your family will be in my thoughts & prayers.

Patti LOL my attitude is not always that great. It is just that there are no options, as I don't intend to give up!

I was so exhausted I was going to skip going to the pool this morning but since I have been up since 4:30 anyway I am going to go ahead and go! It is so refreshing to jump into that deep water and it is neat now as it is rainy and blustery out... raining and the sides of the pool are glass. With the pool lights on when it is still dark out it is really neat to swim in it!!!

Off I go!!!!!
