First I want to say I loved everyone's halloween pictures that posted them - so adorable! I haven't felt like wearing anything for halloween in years, and honestly didn't this year either, but now I'm looking forward to next halloween
I also want to thank everyone for their kind words and thoughts about my family member who was killed. Tom was a very young man with a lot of life ahead of him and he didn't deserve to die as he did. My family is a very working class Irish family, only second generation americans and probably three quarters of my cousins went into the military for the education and job training they offer. Sadly, most of them have had to do tours in either Iraq or Afghanistan, and tragically it was the youngest one in active military duty who was lost. I still feel badly that I can't go home for the funeral, but funerals are for the living not the dead, and so long as I can make my peace and say goodbye it's okay. And I'm doing okay with it all today
Katt - I think you can definitely make your goal by Christmas!! What a great Christmas present to yourself it'll be when you make it

And yay on the 2 lb loss!! That's awesome - see you're already well on your way to that goal!
Valerie - I'm almost at the top of the world! I'm in northern AB, Canada, and yep we have a ton of winter already. Yesterday when I was out walking it was through mucky ice and snow (up to my knees in places) and I even fell in a snow drift at one point when I stepped in an (unseen cause of the snow) hole. I have no sympathy for people who have 45 degree weather any more!! hehehe I think after this I'm sticking to indoor exercising. And yep, I'm up all night. I get up anywhere from 4 - 5 pm if I'm having insomnia to nine pm or so, work from 10pm til 6am (Mountain time) and go to bed around noon - 1pm. I had a hard time adjusting to it at first but I'm pretty used to it now. It sounds like your new job is going to be really interesting. I was glad to hear you had a good first day. I've worked in all male environments in the past too and it's really different being the only woman - good luck!!

You should take pictures and post them of you in your new construction hat!!!
Dazzleberry - Welcome!! I'm pretty new to the group too, looking forward to getting to know you
Misti - That's fabulous on the muscles - and since they weigh more than fat you've probably lost a lot of inches if you're getting more definition like that!! I can't wait to see your medals once you get them
Andie - What a victory on not wanting the candy!! You must be so proud of yourself
I hope EVERYONE is having a fabulous day today!!
