Ok this is really random but did anyone know on Old Navy's website they go up to size 4x? I had no idea. In fact it wasn't really shown. It just says plus size to like 26. But when I clicked on some shirts and stuff it said 4x in the size scroll down. I had no idea..and their 3 x runs kinda small on me so I thought that was cool! They also had a jacket or two in a 4x. You kinda have to search for it when looking for the 4x though.

violet~We must have been posting around the same time. I need routine so bad! And you are right at least I know what to eat and not to eat. And for sure do not want coke! lol Glad you are staying OP! And thanks for sharing about the sizes at the target online. I didn't know they went up to a size 30.

Lavandel~WELCOME!!! Congrats on the 2lbs. lost!

Pearl & Amanda and anyone I missed, I hope you love it here as much as I do. It feels like home!
Amy,congrats on the jeans! I found a pair of jeans in my closet yesterday, but there's no way I'm even check the size right now. I haven't worn them in YEARS!! I'll bet the feel great!!
Michelle, thanks for the info on Old Navy. I've always wanted some of their shirts, but figured I wouldn't find anything to fit me.
Well, friends, I gotta go get that ice pack again!
Til Tomorrow,

Welcome Pearl and Lavendal! And anyone else I may have missed!

Thanks to everyone for the encouragement. Hey I am doing great and actually I may have an idea of why my weight loss has stalled. The vast majority of my fat now is right front and center... boobs and stomach. Everywhere else I am actually getting pretty thin, though of course I will still go down more. But it is notoriously hard to lose in those areas.

Angie thanks for the compliments on the picture... yes I do tend to look better in bright colors. Fortunately that bright pink blouse is now way too big for me though.

As far as weighing once a week... naaaah I have to do the multiple times daily thing LOL. But yes I do count my early morning weight as the actual weight. I am confident the FFM will stop being so mean to me soon.

Have to rush as I am going out running around with a friend. Hugs to all.

Default October Exercise!

Come one, come all, to the October exercise thread!

For the new among you, we are movers and shakers here at 300+. To help keep ourselves accountable for exercise (my real weakness), we set goals for the number of minutes we want to exercise each month. That exercise can be anything you want -- walking, lifting, swimming, dancing around the house! -- as long as it's intentional and something you can count!

If you're just starting out, I really recommend a lower goal -- a few hundred minutes -- and watch yourself build!

I really credit regular exercise as a big part of my success here. There isn't anything magic about weight loss -- burn more than you take in. Commit yourself to the process, however, and then the magic happens!

We also keep track of our group minutes which is a LOT of fun!! We are pushing toward 150,000 minutes of exercise for the year!!!!!

Please, please join us!!! For our sake -- up those minutes -- if not your own!!! Even if you do 100 minutes!!!

Join us!

Woohoo!!!

Good Evening Ladies,

Today I had another very op day. I haven't exercised yet. I will jump on my bike when I'm finished with the emails etc. I went to a job interview. The interview went well but the job sounds soooo boring. They will make a decision on Tuesday of next week.

Angie: I suffer from tiredness when I have PMS too. Really badly as a matter of fact.

Nancy: Poor thing. One thing after the other for you lately. Hugs to you.

Luan: Wow 9 miles on the bike. I'm so excited cause I'm up to two. You go girl.

Kim: Hope your day today was better

Ammi: Well, my weigh in is tomorrow a.m. Hope you are right.

Amy: So glad for you that your sis is taking Wilhelm.

Nitekat: Great NSV tying your shoelaces!

Newsnerd: Wow, jogging. Good for you no matter what amount it is.

Thinthinker: Thanks for the Fashion Bug info.

Sharon: I love, love, love your picture. You are so beautiful! Good luck getting to your first big goal. I know you'll make it no problem.

Melissa: Congrats on passing your goal for the monthly exercises.

amanda: -1 is better than gaining 1! Good job sweetie.

Val: Great NSV with all of your exercises. Be careful not to overdo til you hurt your ankle. I'm so proud of you!

Sandy: So sorry about your leg. Congrats on -5. That is excellent.

Pearl and Lavandel: Welcome. I am looking forward to getting to know you. The ladies here are awesome and I can honestly say they are my friends. I love them dearly and I know you will get to love them too.

Blessings all you sweeties. Think healthy thoughts!

Nancy -- Sorry about your uterus! (is there a card for that?? I don't mean to be flip, but it just struck me when I said that! I hope I didn't offend you!)

Your second setback from exercise lately. I am very inspired by your commitment despite the problems!

Valerie -- I am SO PROUD of your NSV!!

Hubby and I bit the bullet and are going to be working with a trainer. I'm excited and scared -- he's setting weight loss goals that are reasonable, but numbers I haven't seen since high school!! *gulp* What's scarier... I'm starting to think that might be possible!!!!!!! *faints*

Lavandel--Glad to have you with us!! Everyone here is so nice and supportive--I love this place! Dont worry about your spelling or use of English, I wouldnt even guess it isnt your primary language! You're doing great, buddy!

Michelle--That's funny that you were posting about Old Navy at the same time I was posting about Target because I was wondering if Old Navy carried bigger sizes on their website, too! I know they only go up to 22 in the store so that is cool we can get it online!

Sandy--Those jeans are going to look and feel awesome! Cant you just wait till the day you can strut your stuff in those bad boys??

Misti--Glad to hear you are still doing great! Yep, it is very hard to lose in those areas. Glad to hear you are taking it all in stride and still keeping positive and staying encouraged. Do I sound like Dr Phil yet?

Oh man I could NEVER weigh myself several times a day or even every day. That would drive me absolutely nuts and I would never get my mind off the scale. I weigh once a week but usually end up weighing once in between there too, even though I only record it 1x/wk on WW Online. But whatever works for you is awesome!

As for me, I had a Mr Goodcents Italian sub tonight for dinner. I hadnt used any of my flex points this week yet so I decided to do it up! Well, i got home and only ended up eating 1/2 of it! Then I cleaned my kitchen so I like to think maybe i burned off a few calories at least.. But I'm going to have to really push the water to get all the sodium out of my system.

My goal for this weekend is to stay OP no matter what. It is going to be easy in some ways but hard in others. I have nothing to do all weekend. Nat's not in town, my sister is on her honeymoon, and my pregnant friend that lives 40 miles outside town isnt going to be in town either (she and I usually shop on football Saturdays while her hubby watches the game). So I will not be tempted by going to eat at restaurants or anything and I can pretty much go by my own schedule and do what I want/need to do, but along with that can come boredom. Boredom and lonliness=face-stuffing time. But I am not going to let it get to me. I purposely saved all the shopping I need to do for the weekend so I could keep myself busy. I am going to bring snacks and be prepared. I WILL do this.

I wasnt able to get my full workout in at Curves tonight. I stayed a few mins after at work to finish some things up so I didnt get to Curves until after 5:30, forgetting that they close at 6 on Fridays. Ooops. I got roughly a circuit and 1/2 done, so like 20 min instead of 30 min. Dang. Oh well, I guess its something.

Oh, I also put up my pumpkin lights in my window tonight for Halloween! They removed the big tree that used to sit out front so you can actually see stuff I put up in my window now (great, just in time for me to move... ). The lights look really cute. Wilhelm got up in the windowsil and it was so cute I had to take a picture. I posted it in the pics thread along w/the picture from the wedding that I was telling you guys about.

I'm really tired so I am going to bed. I was invited to go hear my ex-coworker's band play tonight, but as I am apparently an old lady that goes to bed at 10:00 on Friday night, I declined.

WELCOME PEARL & LAVANDEL!!! We're a pretty good bunch. I'm the only token trouble maker here, but they've still let me stick around so far.

LAVANDEL, if you don't speak English that often, you certainly could fool me! I don't think I could do any better than you - and it's the ONLY language I know. Glad to have you here!

AMY - My Curves says if you're in the door before they close, you can finish your whole workout. They don't through you out at quitting time. I like that!

SANDY - Way To GO! on losing that 5 pounds! What an incredible week!

Well, I managed to pretty well flush 5-6 days of dedicated effort down the tubes in less than 3 hours. What's up with that?!!!?! I ate out at a "Murder Mystery Dinner" for my friends birthday tonight, and I thought I had the whole thing planned out - to order the salmon, etc. But it turns out everybody had the same dinner... chicken parm and (OH NO SAY IT AINT SO!) PASTA! OK, I did make an effort - I started with no dressing on the salad, but then the bread came. It was so good (read: BAD BAD BAD) that I can't bring myself to tell you about it. I managed to leave over half the pasta, but none of the chicken. Yes, I ate all my desert, and I even had one glass of wine before dinner. It's a good thing my calories for the day were under 600 before I got there, and at least I drank tons of extra water above and beyond my 64 ounces. I know it's not like it has any effect on my long term success, but still, I probably demolished my chance of knocking out a whole 20 pounds during this 6 week challenge.

Never mind. I'll pick up my sword and shield in the morning and get back in the battle, but I really did have fun tonight! We even had some of the very best seats - RIGHT up front! My friend, who I took there for her birthday, also had a wonderful time. I'm still so glad we went.

Also on the UP side, I got two leads on jobs - one from one of the actors who was chatting at intermission, and one from someone at my table. That was pretty cool.

Off to bed. I wanted the confession taken care of tonight so tomorrow all I have to do is move forward again. But Oh, was I baaaaaaad tonight.

Hi everyone! And Valerie congrats on the super NSV! Thanks for the confession. Tomorrow is a new day!

I think I was not clear earlier... I didn't gain MORE weight this week; just had lost back 4 of the 5 I lost and then was up one from that... so altogether I have gained two.

As for weighing... well the one that counts is the first in morning. And actually no I don't at all obsess about weight... just like to know my variations. The scale is right in front of the toilet so I usually climb on it when I climb off the stool.

dogpal - LOOOOVE the avatar picture!! Too cute!!

Hi Ladies - Good and bad stuff today...well thr bad would be that I had a depressed/sad slump this afternoon over the fact that I'm not AS disciplined as I was when I started and my weight loss has sloooooooooowed hugely. I'm trying to stay as close to my calorie target as possbile and walk a bit more. I'm finding things as getting HARDER not eaiser oddly enough...like my walks...I'm not walking as long as I used to and I'm probably more tired when finished than before, what's going on?!?! I'm jsut so mad at my willpower...I'm still OP, just not the was I wish I was. Well, the good today was that John and I got out to window shop and such and we walking home - got in 60 minutes! Woo Hoo! John works crappy hours this weekend - his normal weekend hours - 6am-2pm on Saturday, then the same on Sunday AND 7-9pm afterwards, too. Anyways, I think I need to re-find my inspiration that started me on my journey...I jsut don't know where to find it! Hopefully things will fall into place soon enough. Oh, the 2nd bad thing today...my scale showed +2pds!! AHHH! ...Hope everyone is doing well.
Stay OP chickies!!

Melissa

EDITED TO ADD: I hope I'm not getting to photo crazy, lol, but I'm posting a new set of pictures on the Pictures Page in a second..it shows beginning, after 2 months, and then 2 current ones...so you all can see my pictures side by side instead of trying to remember Feel free to comment.

*sigh*

so i kinda got an unexpected blow tonight. i found out that the boy (see picture) has a rather intimate relationship with a girl he went to high school with. the wierd part is she lives in Virgina, so its rather inconveniant for a relationship, but, the facts are the facts. i know it was super horrible of me to find out the way that i did (he left his email open on my computer), but the fact remains that i know. and im crushed. completely. things were SO good, or so i thought. this is totally unexpected. and there is no room for interpretation. there were pics i could have lived forever without seeing. you dont send pics like that to just a friend. im just so hurt. at least im not an emtional eater. because i feel so horrible right now i could eat a house.

the worst part is, we have a vacation that we have paid for already. plus, another one that we havent paid for (which i will be going on alone now) plus we are going to a big halloween event, and possibly to work in vegas for a week. *sigh* this sucks. i could say that i know its my own fault for looking, but, really, its not my fault he is being a jerk.

im going to bed now, i have a *sigh* wedding to do tomorrow. ick.

Thanks everyone for the welcome

princesspuffypants: Im sorry to hear that about your boy. I often wonder about those internet relationships (I understand that what it basicly is) and how would I take it if I found out my boyfriend would have one. But Im sorry to say, that I am the one who is actually doing it not him. Its not really a relationship or having on line sex or whatever, its not even an internet thing, but it is somehow virtual. We do not see eachother (though we live just 150km apart), we just talk and enjoy eachothers company, but the feelings are here. So yeah having anykind of a relationship eather life or just on line is basicly cheating. If it wouldnt be you would know about it and my boyfrend would know about mine. Its not your fault! Its difficult for me to call him a jerk as I am in a similar position but yeah it is a stupid thing to do, when you are already in a relationship. Im not proud of it, I dont know what are your bf's feelings about it, but many people dont consider that cheating, dont know why?!

I hope you'll be ok and do whats best for you!

This is not the first info about me I wanted to tell all of you..so I hope you won't judge me by it But life throws surprises at everyone we just deal with it the best way we all can!
