Hi Ladies - Got in another walk!! 23 minutes. Also, I felt bad about "treating" myself....I couldn't decide if it was okay or not....it seemed WAY too high in calories - I wouldv'e been over by alot...so we had burritos at home...everything was counted and I'm under my calories. Now I gotta add my minutes to the exercise thread!
Have a good night everyone!
Stay OP chickies!!
This thread is flying! But so am I...running a little late this morning, so I"ll make it quick!
I finally got all the star coins in Mario Bros. on the DS last night...now I just need to unlock the remaining 2 canons to get the secret wallpaper, and it is DONE!
I stuck to my food plan again yesterday and will do the same again today.
Thanks to all for the dandruff tips--I will have to try some T-Gel and maybe rotate it with the shampoo I'm using now.
Misti, I am so glad your scale is moving again--and in the right direction
Such fabulous amounts of exercise everyone is doing--making me feel lazy!
Wyllen, isn't Cape Cod pretty? I've been there a few times since I grew up in CT, though I'm admittedly not much of an ocean swimmer (don't like the salt), but I DO love the smell and walking along the water--nothing like it
Hi, I see how well you're all doing with exercise, TOM is here so unless things 'slow down' ( sorry if that's too gross) I'm stuck with a bit of walking. The boys have been really naughty the last couple of days, hence I've been too busy clearing up their mess to post on here. One or two examples of their 'naughtiness' are; ripping down Gareth's bedroom curtains, pouring sand and soil on the dining room carpet, climbing on the garage roof, pouring soil all over both patios and this morning I had to get up at five am as Aiden had dropped his quilt on the floor and decided to go into Gareth's room and wake him up!!! Last night I had to clean poo off Gareth's bedroom wall and strip his bed, I didn't shout at him though as he was half asleep and being Autistic we were told he'd probably never be out of nappies, he's now in pjs WITHOUT a nappy, so I'm grateful this was the first time he'd had an 'accident'. He hates being dirty so wiped his hands on the wall, though why he didn't use his sheets or shout me I don't know!
Sorry about the moaning, but WOW, those of you who CHOOSE not to have kids seem to have the right idea!! lol, seriously though, kids are a joy, but also a pain at times.
Katt, I'll have my fingers crossed that things get sorted out with your daughter, whether it's bullying, peer pressure or just hating school.xxxx Btw we were hoping to get sorted after Christmas and move (if accepted/picked) before this Christmas, but Steve keeps finding reasons to delay. I had abnormal cells found after a smear test and we had to wait for treatment and a final check-up to ensure it wasn't cancer and all the cells had been removed and grown back healthy, then it was 'I need a job first' he isn't even LOOKING!!!!!! So I'm not holding my breath!!! lol
Misti & Vilandra, you shame me with your exercising/walking hours!!!! xxxxx
Brandnewme, glad to see you're back and trying, that's all any of us can do. xxxx
Jilly, WAY TO GO!!!! I bet you feel so good sticking to your plan and I bet your insides are thanking you too, you must be feeling more energetic and healthy now, which is always a bonus. xxxx
Annie, I feel awful, I forgot to mention your tongue, so glad it's ok, even if the meds taste vile. WTG on visiting curves again.xxxxx
Ammi, you slinky thing, you!! w/w is really the plan for you. How does Daren feel to have you the same as when you met, or are you smaller now??xxxx
I have to go & keep the boys quiet as Steve's on nights and they are being noisy and bad, climbing on the table AND fighting!!!
xxxxsorry about not replying to everyonexxxx
xxsharon
I tell you, this time difference things between me and most of you can be very taxing I go to bed at gone midnight having caught up with you all, then I wake up, put the PC on, and find I am 2 pages behind again. Oh well, that's much better than on Saturday when there were only two posts written while I was sleeping. So shut up Ammi
Sabrina - glad you got your memory card. How do you and hubby play the game then, do you take turns each time one of you dies in the game or what? That's what we make the girls do if they are sharing a game.
Patti - well that game certainly sounds like the kind of game Daren likes, is it available on PC format, that's his fave type of game. Is it an online one? I think I may have to do a search later and find out more about it.
I hope you have a good day today and that you don't have any headaches.
Nightkatt - I am so sorry that your daughter is putting you through such stress with her skipping school. Does she hate it that much, or is she just going through a rebellious stage? Well done for not giving in to the urge to comfort eat. It's awful that you are being put in the position you are, but at the same time you are proving to yourself that you are making the life style change and aren't heading for food at the first sign of upset Did you get any more cross stitching done? I would have thought beat em up games would be better to keep you busy AND get your frustrations out
Sue - good for you for getting your exercise done. I have days, not many, but some where I just don't want to bother, but once I am working out I am so glad that I am. Who'd have thought it, ME, liking exercise
Sounds like you are going to be pretty busy when school starts, I hope you will still have the time to come here and keep in touch with us all.
Nancy - Daren was saying that the way you play Guild Wars is very similar to how you play Neverwinter Nights, you don't have to play with other people, so there's no pressure. That said, it can't be that great a game because he still prefers Everquest. Shame really because as I said Guild Wars is free to play online whereas Everquest is £102 a year OUCH. Oh well, he doesn't go out boozing, and doesn't smoke, so I mustn't grumble
Newsnerd - glad you enjoyed your weekend, and thanks for the tip on the seafood place. Now if only I was in the US I could be tempted to go try that place out What seafood did you eat.
Kimberly - seems like you were fated to try Yoga out, and I am so glad that you really enjoyed it. I might give it a go if I had somebody to go with, but then again I picture Yoga classes as very quiet places, and if that's the case I would never relax because I would be too worried that my ostomy would start making some not very discreet noises
What have you got on the menu today with your new nutrisystem diet?
Missy - when I read your first post where you were trying to convince yourself that it was ok to have a treat meal I just knew you wouldn't end up doing it. I figure if you have to convince yourself that it's ok, then deep down you aren't happy about it. Seems I was right, your second post said that you had burritos and stayed within your calories. Good for you That said, when you really do want a treat make sure you let yourself have one, you know you can work it off nearly as quick as you eat it
Valerie - glad to see your post, and to hear that you are staying OP. You are on my mind lately with all that's going on in your life right now, and seeing you post and knowing you are staying in control makes me feel better
Luan has gone to Oregon for a week or at least I think it's a week. Anyway that's where she's gone to.
Misti - I know the thread moves really fast, but please don't ever think of not posting. It's nice just to have you say hi, and let us know how you are doing.
Jill - congrats on getting as far as you have on your game. I hope you get the cannons and the secret wallpaper soon
Well done too on still being OP, you are doing great, can't wait to hear what your next WI results are!
Sharon - hmm sounds to me like you needed two lovely big padded cells to put your boys in. Not coz they are nuts of course, but to let them burn off some energy throwing themselves around in there while you get some much needed rest. WOW they have really been naughty lately haven't they. As for Gareth wiping poo on his walls, at least he has the excuse of being autistic. When Caleigh was his age she decided to do a poo in her room, and had fun wiping it on the walls and on her toys, and she even filled up her lego bricks with it before calling her dad to go see what she had done!!! Good job I wasn't on the scene at the time that's all I can say
Right now I am 2 stone lighter than I was when Daren met me, although I did get down to 19 stone 7 when I was really ill with the UC, and I am now 5 lbs lighter than that and am healthy. He loves that I am losing weight, not because of how I look, but because I am getting so much healthier and fitter
Annie and Crock, earth calling Annie and Crock, come in please!! Hey you two, where are you??????????
Ok well I am going to go exercise now. Take care all and bye for now,
Ammi - We take turns but not like that. He was playing when I got home and then I played when he left to go out with a friend. Then I played until he came back and his show was on. After his show went off then he played and I went to bed. Normally we aren't home at the same time though so it's not an issue. Mondays his store is closed (he's self employed, owns his own place) so he has a day off.
Everyone else - you gals are doing so good at the exercise! You're making me look bad. I'm going to try doing the walking video tonight but I have to go grocery shopping after the store and might be too exhausted from that! We'll see.
good morning. Ammi i dont know if it is on pc or not! i am gonna be busy today its my birthday and my sister will be here after awhile so i will most likely not be on here much today but everybody have a great day and hope to see lost of losses when i check back in!
I will start out your list of hopes for seeing losses... I actually dropped another pound this morning... yippeeeee! The FFM hasn't forgotten me after all!
Sabrina - that all sounds very fair, the way you take turns, BUT what do you do if you both have nothing else on, and you BOTH want to play the game Don't mind me, I'm just silly
Patti - remember that quiz I sent you? You filled it in and I kept it especially because I knew your birthday was coming up and I wanted it to remind me. Oh I remembered the date, just didn't realise it was that date already, LOL. So anyway, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR PATTI, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU Have fun with your sister today
Misti - ANOTHER lb, wow that FFM is definitely making up for lost time isn't she!! Brilliant
Nancy and Kimberlyand all dancers it is nice to have other people enjoy what I enjoy so dearly.
Kimberly- I am studying Nursing. I will finally graduate as a registered nurse in May. What are you studying? Also I love yoga! I needed to take a gym class for school and I took Yoga. It was so fun and I wish I coul tak it again. I must admit at first I didn't notice anything but at the end of the semester I so enjoyed the class.
Sue- I see you are in Missouri also. I am in STL. I also understand about what you mean being in school forever..but it is so worth it. My classes start on Monday. I am so ready to get this final year over with.
Congrats to everyone for staying OP and shedding weight. I am off to see my Doctor today. I haven't seen him in almost 1 year when I weighed 381 pounds so I woner what he will have to say Everyone have a great day. Yesterday for me was hard. My son wanted to ride the school bus for the first time. It was so hard on me but he loves it.
Kenya: Good luck at the doctor's! He better be super impressed with your accomplishment. My doc is such a grump, he would probably continue to lecture me.
Patti: Happy Birthday!
Misti: Congrats on the loss!
Missy: I am super impressed with your 1000 minute goal. Really, really impressed. I feel like I've really accomplished a lot this month, and I don't have half of what you've done. Outstanding!
Well, school starts in 14 days. I'm really concerned about this, as exercise and food choices suffer when I'm busy. Last school year was extremely hectic as I taught an AP course for the first time and was completely stressed the entire year. When I stepped on the scale in June (after 8 months without stepping on one), I had gained almost 35 lbs. If I am doing the best that I can now, and am losing 2lbs a week at most, I'm really nervous that I will gain it all back again by October.
I did an hour @ Curves this morning, which I haven't done in a long time. Met a really great lady who's lost way over 200 pounds - went from 400-something+ to 161. What an inspiration! She did have GB surgery several years ago, but she views that as 'a gift' to get it under control. She's taken the whole change to heart and works to keep her health strong now. What an incredible change of lifestyle to maintain and stay strong like that. Always wonderful to see someone who DID it! I don't give a hoot that she had surgery, because we all know that if you don't take the lifestyle change seriously, you just go back to gaining weight anyway.
Can't recall if I mentioned my horse's leg injury on this thread, but if I did - it's still serious, but he's doing much better even by this morning than I ever expected. I'm really pleased with his recovery.
JEN - Don't stress about it too much, just know that you CAN lose it, you CAN maintain it, and make a plan to take care of yourself. You can do it!!!
Sorry I'm missing any more personals - just reading to keep up is about all I can handle. I wish the internet burned more calories!! Best wishes to you all!!!
The doctor visit was great! My doctor wants to make a example out of me. I was pleased that my weight loss pleased him. Then I also saw a dear friend that I took a microbiology class with last summer and she was also shocked how much weight I loss in a year time span. I am having a good day ladies and I wish everyone else the same
Jen-- I am sure you will do fine. I had the same fear last year when I started back with nursing school. Also with good reason. While I took Anatomy and Phisology I & II the year before I had gained so much weight from eating the wrong things while stuying. I basically lived off chex mix that year. But I kept things in control last school and I slowly lost weight. Also congrats on the 14 pounds you have loss so far! Tha is great... Keep up the great work.
Valerie- I am happy to hear your horse is doing better . Also great news with the curves workout.
