I've been on vacation, not doing much exercise. My goal, as of a few days ago, is 720. Since then, I've done a bit of walking, so I'm down to 650.

Wow, we are cranking! And Harkeyvalley, yes of course WalMart walking counts! There were days here when it was so hot I went to Fred Meyer and walked all around the store and up and down the frozen food aisles. :)
Tee hee, I grew up way back in the sticks of Missouri so I know ALL about that horrible dust on those country roads. Yikes... for SURE you can't walk there!!! I am pretty bummed at the moment LOL... I GAINED back three pounds! I just can't lose. But I got in 74 minutes of aerobic walking Personal total = 593 1500 goal - 593 = 907 still to go Group total 5218 + 74 = 5292 |
5292 plus today's 60 minutes at the gym = group total of 5352

Tonight I did 25 minutes on the elliptical and spent 40 working with my trainer. That brings my total to 360.
The group total is 5,352 + 65 = 5,417 |
tonight i did 3 mile WATP (45 min.) and 12 min. abs, stretching and push ups.
GROUP TOTAL: 5417+57=5474 |
Right after I posted, a friend called and we did a 40 min power walk. New numbers:

15 minutes today, still none on the bike.... must get more serious about the bike

Terrible on the weekend .. only 12 min total! .. then did only 7 min yesterday .. so thats 19 minutes (tsk tsk tsk).

harkey valley -- For me personally, walking in Walmart or a mall could count, but I really only if I am doing it continuously. I don't count any of the shopping I do, because there's too much stop and start...
Misti In Seattle (and I think Ammi) and I have the same pedometer, and it counts "aerobic" steps. Steps at a certain pace that last for at least 10 min. I generally record my minutes based on what it says! That way I don't count meandering time. You are free to count what you want! Nightkatt -- just count it! Don't worry about how little it seems like! I got in 22 more min at the gym weightlifting tonight! Group total ~ 5648 + 22 = 5670 minutes! |
