I know you'll all agree that we are really thankful for the free services here at 3FC. The sisters offer all of this support and information with no charges to us. There are a couple of ways though that we can help out.
If you are thinking about buying anything at Amazon, why not help out 3FC at the same time? You can do this by clicking on the button for Amazon on any page in the forum, or by clicking on the button on the main 3FC page at www.3fatchicks.com . A portion of your purchase price will be given to 3FC by Amazon. It doesn't increase your price at all, but it does help out 3FC. You can use any of the Amazon.com links that you see on the site in order to help contribute to the site.
Also, BTW, in case you didn't know it, you can view the message boards "ad free" for a minimal charge. I think it's like $15 for 6 months. A very small investment to be rid of the annoying ads and make your pages load quicker.

Hi Ladies - My first thread start...hope I did it okay, lol!! Well today was good, went to the mall got a bit of walking in...then decided to walk home the 2 miles!! DH and I went through a pretty trail and I got some nice pictures...walked over 6100 steps today. Weighed in for my "Shrinkin' Stars Challenge" - but I'm not posting it until my real real weigh-in on Tuesday....I hope I've broken -20!!! It's my goal for this week. Well, not much else going on at the moment, just trying to get my photographs ready to sell in a couple weeks. Catch you all later!
Have a good one everybody, and stay OP chickies!!!
Heather!!!!!! ~ Oh my goodness girl! Your hard work paid off!!!!! So jealous but SO SO SO happy for you!!!!
Nancy ~ Happy Birthday to you!!! I won't sing as you really don't want to have to listen to me *L* Hope you have a wonderful trip!!!
ok guys, I am unfortunately on a time limit this morning. I am making some jewellery for a show next weekend so I have to do some of that this morning. Going to sit in my backyard to do it though. I have a garden of lillies back there that smells divine in the morning! Inspiration here I come!!
Today is a completely lazy day, one in which I can just do what I like. So I have caught up on my emails (nearly lol) am catching up here, I have exercised, had a nice lunch, and later I might even have a nap The hot weather makes me sleepy and today is a scorcher.
Nancy - I know exactly how you feel about deciding on every birthday that you have to do something about your weight. I am normally the same, and like you, this year when my birthday comes I will have the thill of knowing I have already started to lose weight and will carry on doing so.
I hope that you got to indulge in that delicious chocolate mousse that you told me about. Definitely if you are going to have a treat it's got to be something totally scrumptious. I still can't decide what treat I want!
I agree with Sharon about how great the second series of Dr Who is, the new Doctor is a hoot, and him and Billie Piper definitely had chemistry if you ask me. The last episode with the daleks and the cybermen was fantastic. Swansea is having a festival next weekend and they are having some Cybermen, Daleks and the Tardis on display for all to see. I am definitely thinking of going along to see them if I am not too worn out from my birthday the day before
Xena - I was wondering where you had got to. I am glad all is ok and that you just couldn't face more time in front of the PC after work.
That painting you bought sounds lovely, I hope you can get it framed and have it on your wall soon. It obviously brings you a lot of joy.
Sorry that you had a gain when you weighed, though you did say you expected it, so not quite so bad as being an undeserved one. You are right though that you have to stay focused on the fact that you are not giving up. You will keep on trying and the weight will come off
Valerie - oh I see, it wasn't one of your dogs in the skunk episode, that's not quite so bad I am glad things aren't so stinky there now.
Congrats on your Aub getting three firsts, you must be so pleased As for the thirds, well that IS better than last, but I appreciate your disappointment and I am sure you will do all you can to make sure she's more competitive in time for the County Fair. Boy oh boy I bet you were mad that you had to redo the horses braids after paying a supposed perfectionist to do it. How did you let her near your horses again after what she did the other time to your Arab's mane???
Hmm I think we might have different ideas of what a hilly garden is For you to dream of having one it just has to NOT be what I have got. Put it this way, you can't put a hot tub, a pool, a slide, a swing, or anything out there that needs a flat surface because the angle of the hill is just ridiculous. It's good for rolling down though
you did manage to just get your post in before Melissa stopped it
Patti - good luck with having a good OP day when hubby is back on the road. I guess having your diet and exercise easier to do when he is away helps you to stop missing him so much.
Melissa - you did a great job starting the new thread
Well done too on the unofficial weight loss, I am sure by Tuesday you will have still got that loss to lose, or even more! 20 lbs lost is a great milestone
Angie - I am guessing you are seeing a loss on the scales too? I look forward to seeing how much it is when you post after your official WI
Sassy - have fun making your FitDay account, I look forward to having the link so I can see how you are doing.
Brenda - I love lillies, so I can just imagine how pretty your garden is both visually and the smell. No wonder you want to go out there to make your jewellery. What kind of stuff do you make, do you have any photos of your creations? I would love to see them if you do.
Crock - I keep meaning to thank you for your emails, then I think no I will do it when I see you on Yahoo, but I never do. Are you busy these days or is something up with my messenger, I much prefer MSN I hope you are having a good weekend
Sharon - it's fantastic weather for a BBQ, I hope you have a great time and that you don't get sunburned!! Speak to you soon I hope.
Ok better go finish off my emails now that I am caught up here. Take care all and bye for now,
Howdy strangers--long time no post, eh? I've got a bit more determination (although I know say that pretty much every time I post after having been gone for a while) and a stronger plan (more like mentality) in place. A heated debate in another thread got me to thinking about choices--if we really do have a choice to stay fat, if we really do have a choice to give up junk as much as possible, if we really do have a choice to try our hardest every single day, if we really do have a choice to remind ourselves every single day that food will NOT solve problems or fill any other emotional voids...and the answer to all, for me, is a resounding YES. It sounds so simple: make better choices. That's my plan.
wyllenn--if I could throw you a party, I would, but I guess an online congratulations will have to suffice
ammi it is just easier to be on program with him gone.. i know it shouldnt be that way but it is. this week was tough we ate at his moms and we ate out a good bit. i am not even gonna way til i get back from my sisters . i leave on tuesday and be back friday. i am so looking forward to it!
Hi, thanks to Ammi's tuteledge (sp??) I have now posted some pics of me riding & some of the boys at my mum's house & on a ride. I have lost 2lbs this week, not brilliant, but not bad, I didn't have any potato wedges at the bbq either!!!!
It's great to see you back Jilly!!!
Ammi, I hope you enjoyed your lazy day, I've been so busy preparing food, cleaning etc.. then cooking & making sure everyone ate & drank enough I'm absolutely pooped!! I could so easily go to sleep now, not helped by the fact that TOM has shown up AGAIN this morning, 3 times in about 5 weeks, I only finished the last one on Thursday/Friday!!!!!
Xena, thanks, though I'm sure you are doing yourself down, figure-wise! I am an hour-glass figure, but there's too much filling in!!!!!!
I have to go & tidy up now so I will catch up with you all tomorrow.
xxsharon
AMMI - Actually, I hate to admit it, but I felt rather smug about quickly rebraiding and doing a far better job than the "perfectionist". She's a jerk, and I'm somewhat famous for my braids. I'm often asked how I do them and I'm always glad to demonstrate. It's quite flattering. Neither of the horses in this case are mine; they're student's horses.
JILLY BEAN! SOOO good to see you back!!!! I've missed you many times! You are a rock now girl. You've made a solid decision, you know you can do it, and you are back on your way to a healthier lifestyle!! BRAVO!
BRENDA, Your yards sounds heavenly. What kind of jewelry do you make?
ANGIE / Abbeycat, Perhaps you joined while I was on the road, or perhaps I'm just dense, but I hope you'll accept a belated "HOWDY AND WELCOME" to this little neighborhood. It looks like you're off to a great start!! ...Your kitties are beautiful, too!
MELISSA, Great that you took the plunge and did the new thread. I did my first recently, and you did a better job. Hey, I really like your little tracker/note in your sig with the number of days without trigger foods! What a great idea! I have to think it would really make you consider when you face a temptation and ask 'Is it worth messing up my count?' Gives constant, written evidence to remind you of your success. Neat!
Well, I'm still breathing today, sorta. Monday can't be here too soon! (Don't hear that very often, do we?) C'mon Doc, I need some somethin!!! I can't decide whether to go back to bed, go work a horse, or what to do. Ambition just isn't my middle name today. At least I'm not hungry... except for cinnamon sugar fried cakes.

Hi Everyone - I have been trying to get ahold of the woman who runs the 'Sunday Market' here to get a spot booked for my photography table...well, finally got her phone number and...I've got a spot booked next week!!! Also, there's this little "festival" here called 'Sea Calvalcade' - it's runs for 3 days, they block a street - 1 block away from me - it's got activites on the road and park area, fireworks the first night, etc...the WHOLE town is within 2 blocks for those 3 days, lol, it was great my 1st time out last year. Oh ya, and my 'Sunday Market' table with be right in the heart of 'Sea Cavalcade'!!!!! I can't believe they had an opening still!! So even if I don't sell anything I'm going to get a ton of feedback. There's a regular one on there today, so I'll be off soon to browze and meet with the woman who runs it, etc. Yay, finally! So I've been organizing, labelling, sorting like mad making sure everything is ready for next week! My in-laws might even buy me a table umbrella - need one incase it rains! - so that will be AWESOMe if that works out. Anyways, I have to go get ready to walk down to this weeks Market - I will take some pics incase I haven't explained it well. Hopefully I will also get a pic of me in there, too!
Have a good one everybody, and stay OP!!
OH SHARON! I posted while you were posting. Then I HAD to go see your pictures when you mentioned riding! Your sweet boys are just adorable, but I was thrilled to see you riding!!! - OK, you've made up my mind for me - sick or not sick, I have a horse to work - MY OWN for once! I want to have a rider up on him by this fall, so I better get busy with the ground work! You're an inspiration!! WaHOO!
And MELISSA - WAY COOL that you'll get to set up at that festival!! I hope the show goes great for you and you sell a bunch! You must be SO excited!
