Ammi: Hope your back gets better real soon. That sucks I know from experience. Put an Ice pack on it for about 10 mintues once every hour or so. It helped me.

Wyllen, Ammi and Xena: Yep, dogs gotta see the new place. We still would have bought it if they weren't impressed. LOL. The back porch has an area where they can squeeze under it so it was great to find that out before we just turned them loose back there. We will need to close that off from them. They had fun running all around while hubby and I checked the fence line. I will post picks of the outside here as soon as I can figure out how to do it on the photo page.

Misti: I love how that lady was complimenting you. Wonderful.

Xena: Congrats on -2.4 that is awesome.

Teahoney: Have fun at the Bar B Q.

Ccr9455: Welcome. THis is an amazing bunch of ladies. They are so supportive and kind. I am looking forward to this journey with you.

Crock: I hope they do you proud on the meals etc. for the powder puff deal. It is time you had a break. Hugs.

Tomorrow we are going to go to church in the a.m. then off to fishing for the day. I hope we catch some great tasting trout or bass. I love to eat fish and would love to have some bar b qued for dinner tomorrow night. YUmmy. On Tuesday our whole block in having a 4th of July Party/Bar b q. They are all so excited about it. I like the fireworks but I have bad asthma from smoke so I will be watching from inside my house when they all start lighting them. That is okay. My yellow male dog is terrified of gun sounding things so I can keep him calm. Such a wonderful hunting dog. LOL.

Blessings all and happy Canada Day and happy 4th for the rest of you.

Annie

Hi Chickies.

Well the rollercoaster has been here again. As I'm feeling lots better. Weird. Very weird. I even got up and did some cleaning. Maybe that is the answer. More exercise? Get that blood a flowing maybe?

Congrats to all the "Losers" and to the Newbies!

Ladies!

Good Morning All,

Well here it is, Sunday, and it's raining. We needed it though, it's been so warm and muggy, now there's a nice freshness to the air. My back is playing up a bit, but it seems to be worse when I am sitting down, so it's not going to stop my exercising today. I have to say that I am even amazing myself with my enthusiasm to my exercise. Normally I would be saying, oh well, bad back = no exercise, yay. But not anymore. So thank you Tony Little for inventing your Gazelle Rider

Crock - I am ok thanks, Daren has come out in sympathy with me now though, and his back is bad as well.

Annie - you know I have never been one for putting ice on problem areas I much prefer heat. BUT in this weather I would have expired if I tried to put heat on my back, so I tried the ice, thanks for the tip. It didn't help my back much but it sure did cool me down.

Have a wonderful fishing trip, I hope you catch lots of them!

Sassy - I am so glad you are feeling in a better frame of mind now. I think you are right that it's a lot to do with being active. They say that exercise releases those endorphins that make you happy

Martha - hello and to the best place ever for making friends and getting all the support you will ever need to help you along your dieting journey. I look forward to getting to know you and cheering as your weight starts coming off

CC - starting a diet is always monumental, but you are right, along with the worry about if you are going to stick to it, and the hunger sometimes while you are getting used to it, there is also that buzz of excitement. The thrill that you are finally taking control of your life and are going to work hard at losing the weight and getting yourself fitter and in turn happier. It's an amazing feeling isn't it

Got to go catch up on some emails now, but I'll undoubtedly be back later, bye for now,

Hugs,

Ammi

Crock - on the 2 lbs lost. I love what you said about being so thrilled to lose 10 lbs, and now you have lost 80 lbs. It's fabulous isn't it. You are inspiring

Patti - glad to hear you are keeping off the scales til you weigh in day. I can't wait to hear how much more you have lost.

My back seems better the more I move around, so thankfully I am getting my exercise done. I did my first 15 minutes on the Gazelle before lunch, got to do my last 15 before I start the tea later. Hope you are having a good day.

Hugs,

Ammi

Xena and Ammi, woooo hooo look at those tickers move! Great job! Congratulations, and to the others who have weight loss to show also!!

Tracey, hope you got the bedroom cleaned out. Ouch that is my goal for this long weekend too.... especially since I want to get some guys from church to help me install my window AC and still haven't gotten things dug out enough that I would allow anyone IN here LOL.

cc welcome! Yah they will let you in here. They welcomed me in and I was a couple pounds short of the "requirement" too LOL. For the longest time I just READ here and didn't post because I was really not in the category... but loved the thread so much that I finally just marched right on in and SO glad I did!!! And it is neat to see how many here NOW have gone below that ole "3" mark yipppeeeee!!

Martha, welcome to you too! Can't wait to see that ticker start bouncing over there to the right!!!

Vilandra, neat challenge on the Shrinking Stars! I did see it and was thrilled to add up my 7/1 day would have been 17 stars woo hoo. However I didn't join since I know myself and writing down stuff, etc., is not my thing and I would never stick with it tee hee. It's a great challenge though!!

Everyone... have a great Sunday! Keep going!!!!!

Crock, WOWEEE!!!!! You are really doing fantastically well!!!!! I could do with some tips, APPARENTLY I HAVE LOST NOTHING THIS WEEK!!!!!
I am furious, had none of Aiden's birthday cake, Steve bought me cream horns AND I SAID NO THANKS!!!!! So why no loss? No idea at all but I will be re-reading food stuff for SBD and adding fruit to my diet now 2 weks are up BUT I will be very careful to stick to the foods allowed.
I wish I could say more but things are so bad here I'm on the verge of crying and things are not likely to improve for a while, no matter what happens. To top that off I have another colposcopy on Monday, 7th wedding anniversary!!!! To check that everything is healed and no more 'bad' cells have grown back, along with another small biopsy.
I'm sorry that I'm not up to personals but I do read yours and think of your trials, tribulations AND NSV's, losses and triumphs. Annie, you are beautiful, I lost a post saying how lovely you are.
Kayleyxxx hope you get your wish. (you know what I mean)
xxxsharon (if you pray please remember me and ask for strength and help in making a serious decision xxxthanks xxx)

Misti - I am so glad that you marched on in to this forum too, the place wouldn't be the same without you

Sharon - I have no idea why you wouldn't have lost anything this week, perhaps it's like Crock said, maybe you aren't drinking enough. I know how annoying it is when you are really really good, say no to things you would love to say yes to and still don't lose, or don't lose much, or worse still, gain. All I can say is that it can't be a fat gain, and you just have to keep that in mind.

As for the problems at home, can't say anything, so just know I am here if you need to talk.

Hugs,

Ammi

Sharon - I am sorry things are bad for you right now. Try to focus on the fact that you lost 6 pounds last week. If you average your first two weeks on your new plan, you have lost 3 pounds/week, which is great! Be patient with your body. I know there are times I have had a nice big loss like you had and invariably the next week I won't lose anything or maybe even gain back a small amount. It's simply not possible for our bodies to give up that much fat every week. You are doing well and don't let some silly little machine on your bathroom floor ruin it for you. Keep hanging in here. You can do this!!!

Misti - Hope you get that AC installed. I couldn't live without AC!!! I guess it's hotter here in TX than Seattle though. Nonetheless, I am a wimp when it comes to heat. I always joke and tell my friends, "I am a delicate flower and I wilt in the heat."

Ammi - I am going to start calling you the Gazelle Guru. I am happy you have found a form of exercise that you really enjoy. It makes all the difference when it comes to sticking with it long term.

Crock - WOW!!!! 80 pounds gone. You must be pleased as punch. I love this board because we have you and all the other "big losers" to look to and see that IT IS POSSIBLE!!!!! Great job!

CC and Martha - to our little corner of 3FC. It's a great place and I am glad you decided to join us.

Sassy - When you say "rollercoaster" are you talking about emotions? If so, I am glad you are feeling better. I tend to be on a bit of a rollercoaster sometimes and, I have to say, it makes me feel a little bit crazy sometimes!

Annie - Fresh fish on the grill sounds yummy! Good luck fishing!!!

Melissa - Good luck with your challenge. It's good of you to coordinate it for those who want to participate. It might be just the motivation needed for some!

As for me, the BBQ went well yesterday and I made it through only have to spend one Flex point. Everything else I had was Core. The devilled eggs were a hit. I didn't tell anyone I used fat free mayo, so they were none the wiser. I think I may make a small batch for myself at home for when I need just a small bite of something to tide me over til my next meal. Oh, and I just remembered Ammi asked what deviled eggs are. You are boil some eggs, then peel them, cut them in half, and remove the yolks. Then you take the yolks and mix them with mayo, mustard, salt, pepper, and any other spices you might like. I like to add chopped fresh chives to mine. You take this mixture and spoon them back into the egg halves.

Today I am going to the movies with a friend of mine. I think we are going to see Superman. Mostly I just want to see it to see Kevin Spacey as Lex Luther. I'm a big Kevin Spacey fan and it's been awhile since he's been in anything. Maybe I'll stop at the store and buy some grapes to munch on at the movie. Having a snack at the movie is part of the fun for me. I'd rally like to stick to Core foods today though, so grapes might do the trick for me. Other than that, nothing much planned. I want to get some strength training exercise in, though whether that will be before or after the movie, I don't know. Maybe I'll work on my scrapbook some too.

Well, take care everyone.
