Thanks for all your input on the whole shopping/guilt thing. I am ALWAYS feeling guilty if I buy myself something that I want. Now, if it's something I NEED, like shampoo or food or something, I feel nothing. It's only if it's something that I don't NEED to live. I even felt guilty buying that Just my Size Yoga dvd. How silly is THAT? I'd consider it a NEED right now! LOL.

Anyhow, I am off to get ready for work. Just thought I'd say HEY, and get some personals before I left. Have a great and OP day everyone!

Sassy - Dontcha just love this place? If you have even the slightest thought of giving up, you can come here, and realize that you CANNOT!

Nancy - Wow, I would have been scared out of my MIND to go through something like that! I'd say, if you aren't going to be happy, then definately don't go. Or if you are in too much pain, DEFINATELY don't go. Your B/F should understand that.

Misti - Haha, that sounds like a NSV to me! See....I'm the other way around...my stomach always went farther than my boobs...and now, it's actually the other way around, which makes me feel super happy. (Andrew says they look bigger, but I think it's just because they are burrowing into my stomach any longer). Yeah, that's a bit TMI, but oh well! LOL!

Valerie - "At least there are flush toilets available"....LOL! Your hubby's gotta love that sense of humor out there on the road...keep you both entertained. How long until you are on Phase 2? You'll have your peaches soon enough!

Annie - YAYAYAYAYAY!!!! You put a pic of you up! And you look great!!!! So good to finally be able to put a face to your posts!

Missy - for throwing that sandwich in the garbage! Never thought that would happen, huh? It's crazy how our eating changes SO much, and becomes normal to us. Me & my B/F went to Wendy's the other day, and he got this greasy specimen, and I just got a salad...and I was completely happy with it. The salad just tasted SO good, and I didn't even WANT any of his greasy burger or fries.

Crock - We are missing so MANY of our old regulars! Julee, Christine, Catherine, Luan is gone again, Jilly, Garnetfairy, LAnneCarrington, Honiangel, and so many more that I can't even THINK of. I hope everyone's okay, and they are just out enjoying life!

Hello, Hello!

Just a fly-by with a quick NSV! I went shopping and was looking for a tan t-shirt top to wear with a skirt I own and couldn't find one in the plus-size section of Wally World - SO I WENT TO MISSIES! Yep - I am wearing on my body today a size 16 - 18 (XL) from the Missies section! I haven't purchased anything out of the Missies section of any store in at least 7 years!

Feelin' pretty darn good today!

I've been wondering about Julee myself. Hope she is okay.

It is still way too humid here. I hope this is not what the whole summer is going to be like.

My mom invited us (my daughter and I) over on Sunday for a bbq. I was going to start South Beach then but I'll start Monday. Plus, my mom asked me to bring the potato salad although I told her I'll just make it there. I don't drive so lugging a pan of potato salad on the bus is not something I want to do. The menu sounds good though.

I'll be food shopping probably Saturday so that from the moment my eyes open on Monday, I will ready for South Beach.

Hi All,

Well here I am at 5 pm finally able to post some replies to you all. I was going to spend a lot of time online today keeping up with posts, but between catching up on lost sleep, doing laundry, making a turkey shepherds pie for tea, and exercising, not to mention watching some Wimbledon Tennis, and squeezing in an email or two, I just haven't had chance to write properly. But here I finally am,

Annie - once again in a more calm mode now, can I say how thrilled I am that you bit the bullet and put your photo on here. You have the most beautiful smile and are so pretty, and now everybody can see that

Patti - RATS, I cannot believe how stubborn that last 1 lb is being. Well you have another day yet to lose that lb, and I have another night to grab hold of that fairy fat mother, or fat fairy or whatever we are calling her now. Good luck for your WI tomorrow, NOT that you are going to need it Oh and if you do get into Twotown tomorrow are you going to be brave and put a photo of yourself on here? I know you don't want to, but it would be great to put a face to you

Hpnotq - why didn't you get your truck back? What happened? Will you have it back in time for the weekend?

Great news on another lb gone, you know what they say.....slow and steady wins the race

Brandnewme - nice to see you posting again, I have been wondering about you. Boy oh boy do I hear you on the inlaw thing. The first time my mum in law came for a visit it was supposed to be for 2 weeks, she stayed for 6 and I was about ready to pull my hair out after the first week LOL. She doesn't visit often though, so I guess I can put up with SHORT visits now and then I hope that the week you have your in laws there will go quickly and you won't get too stressed out. Also kindly tell your husband no more chocolate treats for a while until you manage to get yourself back on track.

You made a good start sorting out your fridge and getting lots of fresh fruit and veges, now you have to learn to head for an apple and not anything naughty when you are feeling stressed out

MariaLucia - oh no, don't you just hate it when you lose a long post, it's just too heart breaking to sit there and have to write it all again, so I am glad you still came and said hello. Hope you are doing well. I forgot to ask, are you still looking for work away from your ex, or have things calmed down there now?

Kayley - good for you for exercising even though you didn't need to, you really are a determined person aren't you, and you are going to get all your weight shifted before too long.

Congrats on winning that necklace on eBay, hey it wasn't a $1000 diamond one, so really you shouldn't stress out on buying it. Besides you deserve to treat yourself like that now and then for doing so fabulously with your weight loss

Thanks for the tip about the fat fairy, if the threat of shoving her wand where it doesn't shine doesn't help Patti I am going to have resort to bribery

Sassy - Sorry to hear that you have been feeling low and haven't been on track with your diet. Don't be hard on yourself though, it's so hard to diet under the best of circumstances, but when you are down it's even harder. I hope now you are back posting it means your mood has lifted and whatever was bringing you down has been resolved now

Misti - ok if you want to have a hissy fit then you go right ahead, but I rather like to think that you won't have cause to have one any time soon

I am so jealous, over here when I have asked about going swimming with shorts on I have been told it's against the pool's policy. WHY though is beyond me when they let men swim in shorts. They should be told to wear speedos if women are expected to only swim in proper bathing costumes. Anyway I digress. I just wanted to say woohoo on the NSV, that's great that you were more worried about your tummy than your boobs

Nancy - thank you for forgiving me my brain lapse about how your procedure was going to be done. Thank you for explaining it again, ooh no wonder your leg is sore!! Oooooh that vascular closure device sounds impressive, I am going to have to look it up on the Internet for a better idea of how they look and work. Anything that prevents stitches is a good thing in my book!!

As for your dilema with your BF, couldn't he go to his parents and his friends by himself? I know it's a special holiday weekend and all, but you really need to be resting up. You don't want to stop him going because he has given up work for it etc, but if you do go you might be miserable. Soooooo if he really doesn't want to miss out on the trip, maybe he should go on his own. I think you might resent having to go because you need to be resting up, and he might resent staying when he doesn't want to?? I don't know, I am just rambling I just hope you can come to a solution that will keep you both happy.

Valerie - thank god for flushable toilets then if they helped to cheer you up and prevent you from telling DH where to stick things

Ok cool about the bunged up prevention I shall remember that the next time I get the urge to eat eggs. Not that I need to remember, I always have a lot of fibre anyway, AND with my ostomy I can never get bunged

That's such a shame that you couldn't eat any peaches from the peach state. I am sure that you will make up for it another time though. Good for you for staying strong!! And good for hubby for reminding you you weren't allowed the peaches

Melissa - on the NSV. How fabulous are you to have bought that chicken burger and then throwing it in the bin. Just goes to show how committed you are now. Well done!

Crock - great news that it didn't rain yesterday, what about today? Here it's been wonderfully sunny, I got loads of laundry dried outside. I hope it's this nice again tomorrow because it's my Mumbles day out

Lilion - hi that's brilliant news about your NSV of fitting into a top from the Missies section I bet that felt fantastic

Tracey - sounds like you have it all planned out, you can enjoy the weekend and the BBQ and then you can wake up Monday morning with your fridge and cupboards stocked ready to make a great start on SB. I hope it works well for you.

Ok I gotta dash now, it's time to make tea. Time flies sometimes doesn't it. Take care all and bye for now,

Hugs,

Ammi

Well the mowing and weed eating is done!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it has not rained yet today, however, it feels like it in the wind, Now I wont mind as much if it does rain that the yard and weeds are caught up.. I am gonna make an effort to go work on the garden .. but if the rain catches me, I will do it in the morning, Mandy went home today, I am gonna try to get Austin Tomorrow of Saturday.. depending on the weather, He loves it outside, as well as I do. so If the sun is out. I will get him...

I had my first technical OFF plan item today, I have nothing for breakfast at all. so I had a bowl of Bannana nut crunch cereal, followed with tons of water, then went and mowed and weed eated, so I am sure I am okay, but when you dont have it YOU dont have it.. I will live, just nervous about cravings, which I have had none of.. I borrowed some Beans from my Aunt and Uncle who live right beside us, so I will be eating them for the next couple of days,, If some kind of funds dont come in,, I will be OFF plan untill I do..But I think I can make smart decisions while in this pinch.... I will live...Take Care everyone...

Melissa - I loved the photo of you cat, she is beautiful.

Patti - I am glad that you will get hubby to put your photo on here soon. I am glad you are keeping a good attitude for tomorrow's weigh in. I know you won't give in if that stupid lb hasn't gone, but I still think it will be

Crock - you sure have been busy today, I am glad the rain held off for you to do your garden chores.

I really am sorry that you had to go off plan technically today, I know it must be disappointing to have to do that because you don't have the right food in. Like you said though, you can live with it. Let's hope you hear about the job and that you get it so that you can really stock up on loads of SB food!!

I am going to the Mumbles tomorrow so don't know if I will get chance to check in tomorrow. I am normally so tired when we get home. NO I must check, I want to know how Patti and Annie do with their WI. So I will check and might put a quick post on, but personal replies will have to wait until the weekend. Take care all, and bye for now,

Hugs,

Ammi

Crock - that is good news that you got some suitable food from your Uncle, and you got exercise when you helped them out by stacking wood for him and your aunt!

Annie - It was great to come out here and see you posted your picture. You look great and it is so nice to put a face with a name!

Lilion - Congratulations for getting into the XL. I think fitting into smaller sizes is even more fun than watching the numbers on the scale getting smaller!

Ammi - Sounds like you are still making good use of your Gazelle. I am proud of you.

Patti - I have my fingers crossed that you will break into the 2's on your next weigh-in.

Not much going on with me. Just one more day to work before the 4 day weekend. I've got a BBQ at a friends house but not much else going on. My life is a bit boring right now.

This past weekend I had left a message at the Y to get some info about personal training. They have called me back and left me two messages. I don't know why I am hestitant to pull the trigger on this. Hmmm........

My new MP3 player came today so I am off to try to figure out how to work it!!

Hi Everyone - Didn't get to *actually* get groceries today...by the time DH cashed his cheque we didn't have enough time before he had to go to work. But, I did deicde to stay at the mall alone for a bit longer, and got in a bit of steps. Not a ton though, just 1.457 miles - but I told myself in the beginning that 1 mile a day would be great, so, yay me, lol. I'm thinking of not getting too many groceries tomorrow morning...we always have "left over" groceries that haven't been used yet, so..considering we need the extra $ as well, I think I'm just gonna get the stuff I KNOW will be needed. Bought 1 good thing today, though - 48 bottles of water!! Woo Hoo! I'm rockin with the water! Can't wait untili get to go swimming again...I miss it! And it's soooo hot here! It's about 31/88 here...although the online weather network says its only 21/70 - is that a joke?!? LOL!! WAY OFF! You could burn after 30mins outside right now. I've tanned over the last 3 days outside - just doing normal errands! 21? Pfft, lol. Plus we have no wind right now, so it's the sticky, and dry type of hot. Ick. (I checked our outdoor themometer, it's in the shaded part of our deck, and it says it's around 88F!)Also, I'm thinking about getting a ferret in the next 1.5-3 months...does anyone have one? Any tips for me in finding one? Well, that's all from me for now.
Have a good one everybody, and stay OP!!

Melissa
