Hi all..Happy Mothers Day to all!

So last night we went to a Bar Mitzvah party..super grat time but all italian food..ugh. We ate dinner beforehand beause we knew it was pasta...we still snacked a little...not horribly. They has spinach lasagna and in the end I had a plate or spinach and sauce and a plate of cheese and noodles. I id eat the filling out of a tiramisu that came in a chocolate cup..but left the chocolate behind. I wanted to dance for a little while but the dance floor was so small and crowded. Oh well.

So this morning I left Jason in bed and went to the gym at 8am...then we grabbed breakfast and made a trip to the produce market and tonight is dinner at his aunt's house. So many errands to run later...laundry now.

MariaLucia: I am glad you had a great birthday. Yoru stories and your reflections really are inspiring and I really admire your attitude about everything in general. i totally feel you about feeling sad when you look in the mirror. When I started losing serious weight I asked myself on more than one occasion..."how in the **** did I left myself get like this?" I still get sad when I look in the mirror...I know that I am working my butt off in the gym but I will look at myself the wrong way or at the wrong angle and just know that this is all my own fault that that it could have been controlled. I am so happy for you that you have a community where you feel comfortable and accepted. It makes such a difference.

OOh...an interesting NSV...
1) I actually bought a skirt at the GAP and it fit.
2) I bought a size XL sweater there and it's too big
3) I went to a different store and grabbed a size 18 skirt off the rack becaue I am apretty solid 18 in everything now...so why woulnd't it fit, right? So last night I wore it to the party and realized that it's HUGE. It fit on my hips, but at my waist, there is room for a friend to be in there as well. I could have bought the 16! Progress is being made.

Hugs and good vibes to everyone, welcome to the newbies!!!

Hello All,

I'm back, and am glad to see that there haven't been too many posts while I have been gone.

Xena - you are my hero voting so many times for Elliott. Now I definitely won't feel so bad about not being able to vote myself

Crock - WOOHOO 3 more lbs downs, what a great way to lose weight, 3 lbs each week, brilliant. Great to see you posting. I have missed hearing from you. Sorry to hear your Kado is on heat and in two minds about it Are you hoping to let her have pups one day? Just wondering because if you aren't it would be easier for you to get her neutered so no more problems with being on heat.

What a shame you didn't get chance to go to the book signing this weekend, never mind, at least you still have the book. Have you had chance to read it yet?

Patti - wow that's great that you lost 2 lbs since Friday, let's just hope they stay off now, and that you stay off the scales just in case you do see that they have gone again

OH NO you can't miss American Idol, you just can't. Perhaps you could change channels in the ads to watch the country music awards, and then when AI is finished you can watch what's left of the awards. That would be my choice anyway

Kayley - hi, glad to hear you have had a nice day seeing your grandmother and giving her your present. It's lovely when you pick such a perfect present that it brings happy tears to somebody's eyes. I hope your mum will love her present just as much.

As for your weight, you lost so much so quickly, so if things slow down now it's expected and I am sure things will speed up again sooner rather than later. Keep your chin up!

Wyllen - that is fabulous that you did that walk today to raise money for the cancer charity. Boy oh boy I don't think I could walk that long especially not getting up at 3 am!! Well done

I am worried about Catherine too, she doesn't normally stay away from the board for so long. I hope she is ok and just busy being a newly wed!

Julee - you ARE good, how you could just eat the middle of the tiramisu and leave the chocolate cup I don't know. I don't think I could have resisted eating it all! Sounds like you have got it down now, being able to still go out and snack on the food on offer without being a pig. I am sure that whatever treats you did have you worked off at the gym. Good for you for getting out of bed this morning to go and work out.

Excellent news on your NSVs and being able to buy stuff from the GAP, I can't wait to be able to buy stuff in shops like that

I see that some people have informed the moderators that the tickers aren't working. They said they will look into it. I sure do hope they are fixed by tomorrow, that's if I have a loss to report!

Might be back later, if not I shall be back tomorrow.

Hugs,

Ammi

Ammi and Kayley thanks for the congrats....

Ammi~I am planning on starting the book tonight before bed, or this week sometime,, I want to read the entire book , so I want to start it when I know I am free to read it, without interruption... Hint,, while I am posting my lil brother is talking my head off. BUT, I have not been home for 4 days or so.. I have been at Kims. She is beginning to work on her house next week and Since I am not in School right now, and have nothing really to do.. I volunteered to Baby sit Austin, So I will be doing that as far as I know next week... She really needs to get into this house, as she is paying for two houses at this time. and the money she will save once she is in the new house and sales the old one will be noticed, She cant get a sole to help her but her Brother, and they work really well together, it has been setting for 3 yrs. and Not a sole will help unless she pays them ,, then she has to pay for someone else to come and fix the mistakes from the other ****.. I feel sorry for her being in the position she is in .. But things are looking up right now. And by me babysitting, I can help in that area and feel good about it. Plus i sure do get plenty of excercise when I am hanging with Austin,, he is Awesome.. I do plan to have Kado fixed, but I want her to have one litter of pups first.. So we will see. If the Husky I want her to bread with is Available I will see to it she gets to visit him at the beginning of the week.. My Back is starting to hurt again, right where my bra strap is... dont know what that is about... I passed all my classes..YUPPPPPPY

I hope everyone had a great mothers day! I got a great big Step Mother card and when I say great big, I’m talking it was like 3 feet tall! I didn’t know they still made those LOL! I spent Mother’s Day at my Aunts house out in Murrieta and had a wonderful time. I just wish I didn’t have to spend the majority of the time working on my stupid papers grrr!

AmmiUK– I promised you I would weigh in and I did! I weighed in at 349.6 WOOHOO! It’s not as far as I would have liked to have been, but it’s definitely .4 under 350 *wink* hehehe… however… after today’s food fest… I’m kinda concerned *blush* It was all Thai food thought so pretty healthy. For example we had this dish called “Joom”. It’s basically a Thai burrito hehe. You use large cabbage leaves as your burrito and then you stuff it with steamed chicken, rice noodles, papaya salad, and a lemon sauce with some crushed peanuts in it. The only problem is, I ate more than I should have, and then I didn’t know how to calculate my calories. So I basically went blind today with eating. But I am okie with it. One day can’t hurt. I will just jump right back on the wagon tomorrow!

Xena2005 – I had an excellent weigh in today… although the Mother’s Day Feast got the best of me… one day shouldn’t do to much damage, but thank you for thinking of me! To that lady who lost the 157lbs… amen to that… one day at a time!

Bryttani – NSV… good question, I was wondering the same thing!

Okie ladies… I talked my father into letting me borrow his treadmill until my graduation date (June 18th) I told him I just have to kick butt at my works Kick Start the Summer Diet Competition. So he agreed to let me borrow it So now I have the home gym for the toning and the treadmill for cardio. I dunno how long it’s going to take James to put the Gym together, but I’m picking up the treadmill on Thursday LOL All it requires is being plugged into the wall <G>

Alrighty, as always, I might run off to finish up my papers… 6 weeks gone, 4 more to go! (for classes that is)

Ialso updated my weight tracker... so whenever they get it working again I get to see how far everything moved

Take care ladies!

Hi, NSV means Non Scale Victory, there are times the weight doesn't come off BUT other things tell us we're getting there, looser clothes, improvements in fitness, etc.
I am back OP (on plan) after Aiden's illness, I feel sick, have indigestion, an upset, churning tummy and keep sweating, even though I'm cold . I think it is all the rubbish I have put into my body, including alcohol (when the boys are in bed and not so that I'm drunk! just relaxed! ) cakes, crisps (potato chips & snacks) and lots of white bread and processed food, no wonder I feel like sh*t!
I have re-done my tracker; if it works anyone who wants their tracker back might like to re-do theirs from scratch; to reflect the 5lb GAIN but I hope most of it is fluid, my eyes are all puffy, as are my fingers, so I'm hoping it all comes off quickly. I am a bit bored with the plan and am thinking about South Beach, anyone who does it can you say whether it affects your tummy/bowels? As I have IBS I have to be careful with cetain foods and I don't cope well with much greasy/fatty foods.
I can't remember what else I wanted to put, there people I want to thank for their support over Aiden, and Zelma I hope the biopsy goes well & doesn't hurt much, Nancy I know what you mean about wanting it over, but also wanting to wait 'til after your birthday for the op, I will keep my fingers crossed for you. Brenda, I thought it was a CRAP machine too! Are the settings right on it, I know you said that it didn't seem to be helping you much. This will sound silly but your breathing probs, do you have them no matter how you lie in bed, even if the pillows lift your head & shoulders up? Is it weight related or just 'one of those things'?
Got to go & exercise, Steve has bought me an exercise bike which should be here today, its going in our bedroom, so that when I have 10-20 mins I can pop up and and when I bath the boys in our bathroom I can watch them whilst I pedal away the pounds, hopefully . I had one years ago and my cousin's hubby pleaded for me to sell it to him, I did, even though I didn't want to, then a couple of months later they sold it!! I wish they had told me, I would have bought it back, they are real white trash, yes we have lots of them here in the UK, though they are often referred to as 'chavs'. They don't work, have no life except buying designer-knock-offs, AND they wore white trainers to my grandad's funeral with sunglasses too, even though it wasn't sunny, I was disgusted beyond words. They have no sense of decency, it wasn't a question of money, the trainers must have cost upwards of £80!!!!!
Sorry for the rant.

Good Morning All,

It's a miserable grey day here, and I am in the same mood to match, lol. No not really, but I was a bit upset this morning. I weighed and I have lost another 2 lbs, that's not what is upsetting. What is upsetting is that because I left the scales out Daren got on them. He did the same last week. He isn't even dieting, and I have sat through watching him eat BK and cakes etc, and he has lost 4 lbs. He is less active than me, in as much as he is on his PC nearly all day, at least I am doing housework, and he lost 4 lbs without trying. I worked hard to lose my 2 lbs, so that's why I felt upset. Oh well, mustn't focus on his fantastic metabolism lol, I need to focus on the fact that I have now lost 15 lbs

Crock - that is so great that you are helping your friend with Austin so she can get everything sorted for the move into the other house. I am sure Austin will love spending so much time with you and visa versa of course.

Good idea to keep the book to read when you can devote the time to it that you need to. You will have to let me know what you think of it.

A big WOOHOO on you passing all your exams, you sound pretty pleased, and deserve to be.

As for the tickers, apparently the site they are on is down, there is a post about it in the announcements section.

Brytanni - NSV means Non Scale Victory.

SueMarie - I love those big cards, problem is where do you store them afterwards. They are too lovely to throw out

that is brilliant news that you are under 350 now!! I bet you are so thrilled. Good for you.

As for your treating yourself with nice food, it was Mother's Day, it's allowed. By the time you weigh next you will have lost anything that you might have gained and will be lbs under that 350!

That's cool that you are borrowing your dad's treadmill, at least now if it takes forever for James to put the home gym together you will still be able to get a good work out on the treadmill.

Sharon - missed you on the weekend, I hope you have just been enjoying some nice weather and have been too busy to go on the PC.

Ok, going to go now, got a few emails to answer and then I will be having my mid morning nap

Hugs,

Ammi

Sharon - you posted just before me, lol. Glad to see you but sorry to hear you are feeling horrible. I am sure as soon as you start getting back on track with your diet and exercise, and cutting out the alcohol again, your body will soon resort back to it's healthier state.

Have fun on your exercise bike when it arrives, hope you don't get a numb bum

Talk to you later,

Hugs,

Ammi

hey guys
well i had a super busy weekend and now its 7am and its leading up to be a beautiful day out but I am BUSY again today. I took the day off as a vacation day.... some vacation *L*

Anyhoo.... my CRAP machine is no good to me when I have a head cold since you breathe through your nose and mine is all stuffy as well as a sore throat. I got up to take some drugs so hopefully that will make me feel better. I had that ewwy sick feeling last night and about 10 minutes after I got in bed realized that I had to go machine free *L* I felt like I couldnt breathe at all

Sharon ~ This is almost undoubtedly weight related. I like sleeping on my back which is the worst for apneoa. Hopefully as I lose the weight I will be able to ditch this machine for good! Even if I boost my head up with pillows it doesnt seem to help and depending on how much i elevate, I end up waking with a migraine because of a lack of oxygen during the night.

ok guys, I have to run for groceries before the cars appt at the garage. It needs a part and an oil change. Maybe I should get one while I am there Lubricate the joints some!

Sorry for those that I missed this morning... I will be back!
