Dogpal - Hope your hubby gets better quick! I've been in my pj's all day, and it's almost 6pm here!

Brenda - Just hang in there, and that weight will be gone in no time. Nice deal on the elliptical! Get that!! I wish I could afford a nice recumbant bicycle like Andrew has, but I just have to make him let me use his sometimes!

Tonight, we are going out to the movies, and I think I'm going to make myself nice-looking. Usually, I just throw on jeans and a hoodie or something...maybe I'll wear jeans and a nice shirt or something. Do my hair/makeup, which I NEVER do...For some reason I wanna look good today.

Hope you all have a great evening.

Default New Here...

I'm new to the forums and my name is Danielle. When I graduated High School I was around 300 lbs. Ever since then I have been a yo-yo. I started my new lifestyle Jan 2nd and had my first weigh in today. I started at 328 lbs and I lost 13 lbs my first week....yeahhh! My dad is also on this new healthy lifestyle and he lost 10 lbs (his starting weight was 303)...I am so proud of him.

I joined the journals last week and I will continue to post my food and fitness logs there, but I have a feeling that I will feel more at home here.

I just wanted to say hello and I hope eveyone had a great day! HUGS

Mini Goal: Feb 14/06 (Out of the "3's" )

Unhappy Back

Thanks, Ammi and Dogpal for your responses to my home buying fears. It's good to get everyone's opinion, though I agree with you both. (See, I really am on both sides of the fence!)

Regarding the new woman at work, I can't tell that I know that because it was told to me in confidence by the person who she did it to previously (someone who I respect very highly and don't want to get in trouble). I also don't think my boss will believe me anyway. Any time in my life that I have tried to warn people about things, they have turned it on me and made me the bad guy. I guess that all I can do is be the best person I can be, do what is right and trust in God that he will work it out and show her for what she is to all the others. I'm still not happy about it though. I just don't need that in my life.

We were sitting at home this morning and our electric went out and then came back on quickly. Our PC will not come back on now. Has anyone ever had this happen??? If so, were you able to get it fixed or did you have to get a new computer??? (This stressed me out because we can't afford to get a new one and also upset me because if I can't afford to get a computer fixed, then how am I going to replace a hot water heater or washing machine in a house?! It made me have huge doubts about buying a home!!!) Any advice on the computer?

Needless to say, I blew my diet today. Some days you just have to eat. Today was one of them. I mean, I didn't pig out, but I didn't count anything either. I don't have the energy!

The only good thing is that I have a laptop (the other computer was primarily used by my husband to surf the net for sports crap). But we will need to replace it so he doesn't break this one or spend all of his time on it (it's so delicate, I'm always afraid it will break).

Oh well.

Ammi ~ You are so nice to always take the time to talk to everyone!

Butterflyns ~ Welcome!

I just needed to vent. Thanks for letting me, chickies.

Hey Chickies!!

I just can't seem to find enough time to read all the posts and write anything worthwhile! The weather all weekend here has been in the 60's and close to 70 and that is unheard of for southwestern IL in January! We've been doing yardwork which should have been done in November and December and we just didn't get around to it!

Hope you all are doing well! I need to get back on the old LAWL diet, but haven't seemed to get there yet - had to undergo more medical tests last week - this time they are checking my liver - seems the enzymes are really high - sigh - guess my wild past may be catching up with me!

Hope to talk with you all soon!

Have a great week!!

Congrats, Teahoney!

And welcome Butterflyns!!! I know you will love it here...I've only been here a few weeks, and as you can see, I am a CHATTERBOX! This forum has helped me realize that I'm not the only person going through this, and that I definately don't have to do it alone. Many inspirational people in this forum...well, really EVERYONE in the forum! Little intro about me to you...My name's Kayley, and I'm 19 years old...livin in Southwestern Michigan. I go to college around here, and plan to transfer to Indiana University in 2 years. I have a wonderful boyfriend named Andrew, and we are planning to get married...but I wanna dump all this plump first! Well, enough about me...I HOPE YOU LIKE IT HERE!!!!

Well, I managed to get all "prettied" up...and I actually think I look nice! AND!!! The skirt that I'm wearing is a size 26, and it's too BIG FOR ME!!!!! I don't know if it's just the brand or what, but it could stand to be about a 22! The brand is Tripp NYC, and they usually don't run HUGE, cuz the company is really made for the skinny chicks...so I'm HAPPY! Random happiness for the night...lol.

Well, Andrew should be here in about 45 mins, so I'm going to and finish getting ready (I definately need to brush my teeth!). Later!!!!!

ammi - Im starting a cosmetology program at a local community college. the good thing about having messed up parents in california is that they usually will send you to school for free... trying not to repeat the cycle.

angel is the womens fragrance. i think it smells like chocolate and vanilla. its nice at any rate. i dont like floral smelling perfumes. im usually allergic to them

good luck on your restart today. i had mine saturday. so far so good.

Nancy - yes, i have heard of them. ive tried a few of them. they are fun. ive seen them sold at Sephora. i see you are in NY. i would assume there would be a store there. a good way ive found to try perfumes without dropping 20 a bottle (or more) is to go on ebay and buy tester vials. for 3-5 bucks you can really give it a good test and see if its for you.

you guys are funny about the whole book thing... i think i will call it"odd jobs you can have without a college degree" lol

have a skinny day!
