Default Discouraged!!

I haven't lost a pound in two weeks. This REALLY kills my
motivation I drink 2 litres of water per day so it can't
be water retention. *sigh*
Can someone give me a boost?

Kristy -- I didn't have a loss for 2 weeks, even though I was doing the same things I had been doing. ANd then, the third week (this week!) a 3 pound loss!

It's tough, but you have to be in this for the long haul. And there will be times when your body says, nope, not time to lose yet. Just KEEP doing the right stuff, and it WILL happen!

Well...not a good night at WW..up 3.2 for the week..however...given the fact that it was Thanksgiving, and I was lazy about my food when I got home, and I was sick and on all sorts of meds, and I flew...it's pretty reasonable. I still have a net loss of .8 for the 2 weeks so all is well.

On top of that I got my engagement ring tonight and I am soooooooooo happy! It is beautiful and I love it and I love Jason!

Tomorrow I start over again and get back on track...no more slouching!

Good morning everyone

It looks like it's going to be a pretty nice day here today, but a slightly chilly one. I'll take sunny and slightly chilly over warm, gloomy and rainy anyday!

Kristy-- Don't give up. If you're doing the same things that you always do then your body is just giving itself a break and you will show a loss soon. The important thing is to NOT give up because it will happen eventually. It's the waiting that's the hardest part though.

On the other hand--you have to think back and be totally honest with yourself too. Did you follow your eating plan correctly? Did you do any of the exercise that you wanted to do? I know for me, when I have a couple of weeks where I don't lose anything it's usually because I've slacked off a little somewhere. Or-- if you are doing your exercising and eating on plan--maybe you need to eat more frequently to keep your metabolism up. There are so many things that it's making me crazy to think of them all. Either way the important thing is to not give up on yourself. You are worth losing weight for and you are worth all of the effort and time it takes to lose the weight. Good luck and let us know. It is after all why we all come here. I'll tell you that coming here and reading what all of the other people are going through is such an inspiration to me. I couldn't have lost a single pound without the support of the ladies here.

I'm so EXCITED! I just figured out how to post in the different colors. And I've also figured out that I only have to lose 7.2 lbs. to make my Christmas goal come true.

Mom2Five--I didn't get a chance to mention how sorry I was for your friends loss. Even though I didn't get to post I was thinking about all of you.

Catherine--how's the wedding gown coming along? Don't forget to post pictures for us. Even if you post a picture of the "before" gown at least we'll all get an idea and feel good about OOing and AHing over it.

Ammi--I hope you're feeling better. How are you doing with your exercise? Honestly it's the hardest part for me too----which is very weird since when I'm actually at the gym I LOVE being there and working out. It's just the getting there and getting started that is the problem. Good luck and if you need a boot in the butt, let us know. You're doing so fantasticly though that maybe we'll use soft slippers instead of a boot.

Oh and guess what else I forgot to tell you all? If things work out for my bf and me, we will be changing the basement over. We have half of it as a computer room right now and if things work out the way we want them to then HE was thinking that we could make it a workout room. I already have a treadmill, but we would buy one of those all in one weight sets--like the BoFlex, you know?--and I could work out at home. I know that my mother and my sister would come over to work out with me and I could also show my bf how to do the weight machines too. We might even get an elliptical machine. So pray that things are going to go okay for us.

Okay, I guess that I should get my butt in gear. I have to go to the post office and I wanted to look for something for Christmas. It's going to be a very small Christmas this year but I want to find things that I KNOW my family will like. Have a GREAT day ladies.
