Default 300+ and Ready To Try Again... #652

Welcome!!!

We are a group of individuals who weigh or have weighed 300+, or near there. This group was formed to provide a place for others like us to find support and hope. We are aware of the distinct problems that come with weighing over 300 lbs.

We want to invite everyone to join us in our journey.
We share laughter and tears.
We share what works for us and what doesn't.
We often use a "Topic of the Day" for discussion.

Motivational Monday
Tuesday Tips
Wednesday Wish List .. and What you are doing to obtain it.
Thankful Thursday
FUN Friday ... don't wait until you lose your weight.
Sit-up Saturdays - any physical activity
Share your Success Sunday

These are not required topics ...just ideas to share. We often find them very helpful. We also share heartaches and fears ... joys and celebrations.

We have several extra threads going on simutaneously such as Monthly Challenges, Weekly Weigh-ins, Recipes, Bios, and more. Please feel free to check them all out.

We have a bi-weekly 2x2 Challenge.
Our goal is to lose 2 lbs in 2 weeks.
We have a long term goal of losing 300+ lbs within our 300+ group in 2005.

We have found this thread to be more than just a support group...
we have found it to become a home. We invite you to join us.

WELCOME!

I know you'll all agree that we are really thankful for the free services here at 3FC. The sisters offer all of this support and information with no charges to us. There are a couple of ways though that we can help out.

If you are thinking about buying anything at Amazon, why not help out 3FC at the same time? You can do this by clicking on the button for Amazon on any page in the forum, or by clicking on the button on the main 3FC page at www.3fatchicks.com . A portion of your purchase price will be given to 3FC by Amazon. It doesn't increase your price at all, but it does help out 3FC. You can use any of the Amazon.com links that you see on the site in order to help contribute to the site.

Also, BTW, in case you didn't know it, you can view the message boards "ad free" for a minimal charge. I think it's like $15 for 6 months. A very small investment to be rid of the annoying ads and make your pages load quicker.

Happy bday 2cute!

I'm stopping in real quickly.. I was doing so well with eating this week! I've just gone nuts since yesterday I dont know why! I'm not depressed.. its actualyl seeming to be the opposite! I had tacobell for dinner last night but I think I stayed in my calorie range... the n today I had pizza for dinner, some chocolates, now I just had some low-fat icecream! I dunno what is up with me! I've just had this insane craving...

I did really well this week and I was excited about Monday's weigh in and was hoping it'd be a good one since its my first 2x2 but I dont know with these past two days I've gotta convince myself to work out tonight but I dunno.. I've been doing homework and its given me a huge migraine and I just took painkillers and i'm feeling a bit off base. I just lose so much control on weekends!

I guess we'll see! I hope you're all doing soOO much better than me Stay on track! If anything I'll try to get some crunches in tonight.. and sit ups and what not. IT seems its easier to do those rather than an entire video sometimes.

<- me, maybe its being around the kids all day today? They drive me a bit crazy! At least I know I'm still not ready for my own

Hey, cd, Hope tomorrow is better than today for you. Since you know weekends are hard for you, you should probably start trying to figure out how to work on them. What can you do to arrange your time so that you won't have a chance to eat things that aren't on plan?

I always get a bit distracted on weekends because friends ask me to go out, and then I end up eating things I shouldn't. As I did today. But I'm still okay on my average for the week, which is how I've been doing things lately. Tomorrow will have to be conservative, though. So... cd... I challenge you to an OP Sunday... I'll be conscientious if you will, how's that?

Cheers to all--

I hope to break 330 this week, I haven't had a super on program week, but I can keep my fingers crossed!!!
I wanted to have 10 off by Valentines day and I am at 7 lbs off so far, so I am cutting it really close!!!!
I find days off and anything away from work to be really difficult for me! I like the schedule of a job bc then I know, ok it is coffee time, time to have a snack, now it is lunch time etc. but left at home to my own devices, it is so not good!!!!

Good evening ladies.
THANK YOU so much for the birthday greetings !!!!
Hilta... you went all out. WOW .. lots of cute graphics.

My day has been a roller coaster ride. But finding your birthday wishes was an uplifting part of my otherwise odd day. Thank you.
Not posting tonight. Just saying thanks.

Angela - I'm totally up for you challenge! I know we can do it! And maybe knowing that someone else is trying hard to stay OP on the weekend too will keep my bootie in line! I'll try my hardest.. of course we should be doing this every day! These darn weekends always get to me.. I guess its the "TGIF no work no school!" mindset.. even though I dont work and don't really have class

Lets do this!

to everyone!

Hey, 2cute, I wasn't here yesterday, so sorry I missed out on saying

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

As usual, I'm a little late.

Well, I don't think I strayed away from the plan by too much yesterday. When I went shopping with my friends I let them know that they could pick where we were eating. So we went to Olive Garden, mainly because they knew I'd never been there before. I did eat order water instead of pop and ate a generous portion of salad before our meal arrived. However, my main downfall was the appetizers, I believe. I haven't eaten anything deep-fried in a while, but I don't think I went too crazy with the zucchini. Man, I love zucchini, but I shouldn't have it breaded and deep-fried! I took half the main course home, so even though I ate a lot I think I did pretty well for eating at some fancy non-diet restaurant. But I got a bit of a tummy-ache later in the day. Nothing I couldn't handle, but it was a gentle reminder to avoid eating so much at one sitting.

I did a ton of walking yesterday, which is good. My feet started to hurt at the end of the day, but it made me realize that I can last a lot longer on my feet than I could, say, a year ago. We were out and about for around six hours, not counting our time at Olive Garden, LOL.

Weekends can be hard for me too, mainly because I don't have to get up so darned early and I allow myself to sleep in. It totally throws me off my schedule. And since I don't have to be at the Y, that kind of throws out my "well, now that I'm here I might as well work out" mindset. I do let myself relax a bit with everything but since I don't allow junk in the house anymore, at least I'm not tempted to go crazy with food. And I think that going to someplace like Olive Garden is not gonna hurt if it's only once in a great while. It wouldn't hurt for me to use that exercise video at least on the weekends, though. . .

Well, cd, hope you did well today. I was okay, but not great... stayed OP calorie wise, but haven't exercised. It's been a crummy day and I just don't care really. Although I guess I do care, cause here I am checking in.

Replies tomorrow, I guess. Hope everyone's well.

Ok Motivational Monday ...
I haven't been feeling very motivated at all this week - not losing much last week after such an OP week made me really down. But today I'm starting to get some of the motivation back.
Visit to the dieticians = 2.2 lbs loss for the week - so I made the 2x2 challenge - 2.7 lbs altogether
only 2 more lbs to go to hit the 50 lbs off mark so that's motivating me a bit!
I found that I ate more this week, and lost weight - my calories were obviously too low last week and my body panicked and thought I was starving

I find that it's hard keeping with this sometimes because I know that I have lost x amount of weight, but people I meet don't. They see someone with a weight problem that really needs to do something about it, they don't see someone who has had a fair amount of success already. It's one of the reasons I like this group so much - everyone here knows exactly what I mean, and are in it for the long haul, because we can't lose these pounds overnight but that doesn't mean we are going to stop working at it!

Hugs to all
Leanne
