Week #1 299 -4 lbs! |
Hi everyone! I havent been around since last Sunday, it's beem a busy week. We had a death in our family of in-laws., DH and i volumteered to watch all of their kids while they attended to the business of funeral. Whew! 6 kids under the age of 10...the youngest (I named it the 2 headed spider baby) at 18 months got into every cranny in the house! It was too hot for them outdoors, couldnt take that many anyplace, so the house got wrecked! I cooked and cooked and cooked to keep everyone fed, including the adults that drifted in and out.
Also I had a guy come out about the pool I thought I needed...20,000 bucks later i had a change of heart. I was ready to sigm until the locking pool cover costs came to half the price of the pool, then the heater was optional (not to me ) and a pool enclosure instead? HUH! 40-90 thousand! Oh well, I will have to be aggrievated with traffic and lose sleep to get to the pool on my way to/or home from work. It's in a million dollar complex. The lifeguards look at us like we are worms, not friendly people at all. Oh well, I don't mind, never was ashamed of my fat self (although in retrospect, i should have been, I would have done better to lose it). Then, my son surprised me with an anniversary gift for the house, TIVO! I like it! He bought it, had the guy come over and install, then it was there when I came home yesterday evening. What a nice guy! DH was not impressed, he is not fond of "gadgets" like i am. But he will come around I'm sure. Kat: I snore, my husband snores, we cancel each other out. Not really, we sleep in separate rooms because we cant stand snoring. NOTHING has worked . Welcome CD!!! Lisa: school is good! we love school....it sends a yellow tube to pick them up and take them away for 9 or 10 hour of blissful peace. Then they are sent back with activities to perform, and chores to complete...good school, good school. So I weighed in at 361 today. I have to leave that wonderful bakery bread alone, or at least limit myself to two pieces a day. I ate 2 hot italian sausage sandwiches smothered in peppers and onions last night. so bad. Okay - I weighed in on Wednesday and was down to 262.00 lbs. Don't know how that happened considering all the eating out we did in Colorado. Anyway, I'm not complaining! Now, we'll see what it is this next Wednesday.

I'm weighing in today.
The scale said 252.4. I'm counting that as a 1.1 loss. Its really hard to tell where I started the challenge because I started right at TOM and since that time, I've had fluctuations up to 258 because of water weight. At one point, I did weigh 253.5. I had wanted to achieve 251 but I'm happy with this. |

total loss 1.75 pounds...that's a close but no cigar? Right? Anyway what are WE going to do to keep it off? |

Highest Weight: 328 (1/03) :( Starting again weight: 300 (7/20/04) :o WEIGH INS: 7/20/04: 300 7/23/04: 296 7/30/04: 298 8/5/04: 296.2 8/13/04: 299 8/20/04: 297.6 9/3/04: 295.8 Goal for Tuesday's one pound challenge, 9/7 = 295 (will be a little more than one pound from last Tuesday, but I like even numbers. :) It's so frustrating looking at these numbers knowing that at one point last year I hit 280 and in January I started the year at 288. I would love to see 280 again when I start the next IVF cycle in Oct/Nov. Lots of hard work needed during September!!! I can do it! WE can do it! :strong: |

Well, here is my first post....time to be honest about my weight! I went over 300 a month ago and have been in denial ever since. Ate crap again today...but am starting fresh tomorrow.
Starting weight and heaviest weight (9/7) - 306 :o long term goal- 180 I am looking forward to getting to know many of you better...I can feel the love and support here...and I feel like this will be a great source of inspiration for me. |
