Gosh, Lucky did you forget to take a shower this morning? I know I took mine. Do we have BO and run everyone off?

Its Friday night! No exercise today. I plan on getting up early tomorrow and bike riding on my own. Then it will be a busy day. I've decided I want some annuals for two more big pots that I have in the back yard. We need to do house cleaning, yard work, laundry, etc. Not enough hours in the day.

Its getting lonely in here. Hope everyone is doing well.

Have a good night.

pant...pant...huff...puff...............<skids to a halt> Whoa! I'm here! Wellll...school's over, scouts are done, baseball is almost over, (last game tomorrow night ) AND... Hooray! I'm off for the next three days!

So, you'll be seeing more of me...be careful of what you wish for!

But for now...I'm going to park my hiney on the couch and vegetate in front of the TV for a bit. Tonight was the second to last ball game of the season...in the extreme heat and humidity... I suppose it would be worse if I had to actually play instead of merely sitting in the bleachers, chatting with the other mommies, wondering what inning it is, watching only when my son is at bat. Yeah, I'm a big fan! My poor guy...in the last inning, with two outs, and two guys on base, he has to get up! He had a full count against him and the pitcher threw what was clearly a ball, (seeing as it breezed past his ankles) and the ump called it a strike. awwwwwww... EVERYONE in the stand booed the ump because there was NO WAY it was a strike. So, at least there was no shame being the last out when the ump was so wrong. Like I said...ONE MORE GAME!

Okay, I'm off to the couch...Maybe I'll bring Dr Phil with me......

The other one is... well ... a scaredy cat.
I LOVE THEM BOTH !!!! but the youngest is the most fun to watch.

Hopefully I will find some time to catch up soon.

Good morning!

It is great to see you both. It was getting lonely!

I'm up and at 'em this morning. I drug out of bed at 7 am and rode. I got in 7 miles this morning in 40 minutes. And all within my section of the neighborhood. I'm trying to get the leg strength, endurance and coordination to be able to stand up and pedal going uphill. Harder than it looks.

DH got up and made a nice breakfast of turkey sausage, scramled eggs and toast while I rode. Now, I'm off to shower. Then I've got a list of errands to do - birthday gift card, stuff to mail, Bike Stop, Home Depot and groceries before jumping on cleaning the house. I think it is going to be too cool and breezy for a boat ride this afternoon with my brother as planned. I may call him and tell him not to come until about 6 pm. Also gives me more time.

Too much to do and not enough time. Or else, too much procrastinating.

Have a great day ladies!

Geez Terri - YOU GO GIRL. I wish I could - maybe I just need new knees. But then as I recall when I did go biking I ALWAYS had to go to the bathroom and there was no where to go!!!!

I am going out to clean the yard and garden. I have weeding, trimming, raking and burning to do.

I WILL be back.

Hey everyone

Terri and Lucky, I'm getting the guilts just sitting here reading about your busy days! I've got my own ahead of me, but it is much more fun to sit here in my nightie and read. Still, if I don't get moving and soon, I'll miss my chance to work out today!

I found out something cool a couple of days ago. I went in to this weight loss place (yeah, I know...) because I have been getting frustrated with my slow, slow progress. They were promoting *gasp* balanced nutrition and exercise and wanted to charge me $56 a month for the privilege. That seemed a little over the top except for the accountability part. I might try it for a short time just for that. But the cool part of the meeting was that they do a body analysis for you. I actually KNOW what my body fat % is! Wahoo! I've been so bummed to not be able to use the machine yet at Curves, because that meant that after all this work I am still not under the 50% mark. Well, my body fat was 51.5%. I wish I had a clue what it was to begin with. I know I've come a long way. But that means that 150.5 lbs. of this bod is made up of bone and muscle. Cool, huh! And I really do prefer knowing to being in the dark.

I've got to get outta here. Doing a cooking show this afternoon as well. Wish me luck with that!

Andria

Hello!
I'm here....sorry I've been neglecting you all. Thinking of you --- as always. My TOM showed up yesterday and I paniced because of this whole procedure I am going through --- last time they put me on this hormone med it took 15 days, this time it took 3 days. The Doc office finally called me back at 6:00pm last night and said "no worries"!!! I am still on schedule for this procedure. I have to finish a total of 10 days of meds and go in for an ultrasound and bloodwork.

So, I am crampy and hormonal! Yikes!!

Today we went to a basement open house -for a basement finishing company. I wasn't that impressed with the particular house we saw, but we are going to have a salesman come out and do an estimate in a couple weeks.

Then we went to Lonestar for lunch - small steak, baked potato and salad. For some reason today I wanted meat! Then I came home and did some laundry, took some stuff to the basement, cleaned the garage a bit and now I am going to veg on the couch and watch Along Came Polly.

I'll check in later!

Have a WONDERFUL Saturday!

Love to All!
Barb

Just popping in on my break. I am quite proud I have gotten a lot done. I do feel really tired but I still have raking and burning to do so I had better perk up.

It is such a gorgeous day here - one we very muched deserved since the last month has been nothing but rain, rain and storms. My tomatoes are knee high already so I appreciate "some" of all of that rain.

I will be back later. Nice to see the posts, I was getting worried !

Lumpy ShadowWelcome and enjoy yourself. This is a great group and very supportative. Some of us don't have much to add, but that doesn't stop us from posting. I can't seem to get my act together and get to loosing this weight, but I keep trying, and trying, and trying.

Today is Juneteenth here in Texas. Does any of you know what that is? We had pretty bad thunderstoms this afternoon, and we were out in it. I told Alvin that if we were shaking as bad as we are in an Excursion, what must some of the smaller cars be doing.

Well, I've absolutely nothing else to say, so I'll end now.

Yes I do have something to say!!! The Texas Lottery is 145 MILLION tonight. You can bet we have tickets!

Thumbs up

OW - I hurt !!!! My feet, hands, arms, shoulders - I can sure tell I haven't been able to be outside much yet this year.

I just got in and am going to have some soup. About all I have in the house.

Then I will read for awhile (if I can stay awake). Speaking of reading - Terri I BarbG should we stay on Chapter 6 or go on to 7? Not much posting so I don't know if it's due to drop outs or just being busy?????

Even my fingers hurt - maybe 9am to 7:30PM was a little TOO much raking, weeding, burning, cleaning and shoving?

Later...

No Drop out here .... just WAY TOO BUSY !!!!

WELCOME Lumpy Shadow... what a cute name.
I hope it is a humorus name to you too and not a put down.
We don't encourage put downs here.... but I just saw it as cute.

I used to be a full time regular here... but life has thrown me some curves lately and I am having a tough job getting time for me. I am happy to say that I am being productive.

While I was out of town my oldest daughter surprised me by finding my "to do" list for my backyard.. and she did them.
It looks GREAT !!! My backyard was kind of plain. Not anymore. She painted my two park benches yellow and potted four big plants and placed them around. She got out my hummingbird feeders and filled them.
We already have several hummingbirds. They fight over the feeders. Tonight we finished up some odds and ends too. We bought those tiki torches and placed them around and they look sooooo cool burning in the dark. We repotted some "fake" flowers too. I painted some old faded greenery with green paint and they look as good as new. :thumbs up:
All of you who saw my yard last spring wouldn't even recognize it anymore.
Nothing fancy.... just NICE. I was so surprised with everything my daughter did... and now even happier with what we accomplished today.
I really needed that JOY after the last few weeks I had. Maybe I will get some pictures soon and share them.

Oh yes... ladies from Spring Fling... my front yard is MUCH prettier too now.
Did I have my fountain when you were here?? I know I did NOT have all the flowers planted yet. Anyway... I bought a fountain with a peasant girl with water flowing out of her urn. It has three layers of water flowing. Around the fountain we took out all of the white rock and replaced it with mulch protecting the many bushes and flowers planted there now. In fact.. I may have too much planted there now. We had to replace a lot because of hail damage.. but it is really getting pretty now.

We are having everyone here Sunday for Fathers Day. I asked my husband if he would rather go out, or stay home and celebrate... and he chose HOME. I am glad. I really wanted to stay home too. We invited the other grandparents too so we could all be together. We are just grilling hamburgers and hot dogs. Nothing fancy... just relaxing. My husbands would love to spend it on the golf course... but we told him this was the day for the kids and grandkids to make him feel special. LOL I will bet a $100 he ends up on the greens before the day is over. LOL
Do any of you have any special plans.??

Okay... I better get going. I am doing laundry so I can get my utility room clean before everyone arrives about noon. Plus.. I will need lots of towels for everyone swimming.
Have a wonderful HAPPY FATHERS DAY and I will return soon.
I PROMISE I will find some time to get back to the book study even if I am wayyyyyy behind.
