Angry Howdy

Good evening / morning everyone.
It is 1am here so I don't know if I should say good evening.. or good morning. LOL
I am sooooooo tired... but I feel I should post tonight instead of waiting until tomorrow and then not finding time.

I watched "You've Got Mail" on TV tonight. It is such a cute movie. I really like it.
I love Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan fit that role perfect.
Has anyone seen the new movie out with Tom Hanks.?? It is the first time I have not wanted to see a Tom Hanks movie. I am hoping someone inspires me to go see it.

I wasted my entire day. Too blahhed to even get out of bed. I finally got dressed at 5pm tonight. DH and I went out for a steak dinner and it was GREAT !! I only ate half my meat and potato and brought the rest home for lunch Monday.

After dinner ... hubby offered to bank me and go to the casino with him.
I won 4,025 .... nickels. That was about $200+.
I won that on a single bonus game. Of course... I lost that much too.

I keep yawning.... and I am really tired... so I will save most of my replies for in the morning.
I did want to mention... they list the # of posts on the forum page.
Thread/thread starter ... Last poster ... # replies ... # of views.
Just recently they have added the post # on each post in the right upper corner.

I really can't keep my eyes open. I have got to get to bed.
I will be back.

GOOD MORNING!

Let's have a little enthusiasm for MONDAY morning!

So, this is what it feels like to have two weekend days OP!

One day off spoiled me - I'm ready for more!

I posted an article over on the article thread if anyone is having trouble keeping their focus. Lord knows, I've been there for four months.

AWWW, Kat. I'm sorry to see that you won't be there in April. But, your DH has to go take care of family. That aortic anueryism is a big thing for sure. That is what dad had and no one knew. Lots of {{{{hugs}}}}} and prayers for your family.

2Cute - I agree about the Tom Hanks movie. The previews totally turn me off.

Hello to everyone else!

I have to drag my sorry butt off this bed and get moving.

Oh, I did do my conditioning workout this morning so I'm starting off right!

Have a great day!

Hello ladies,

Mind if I visit for a while? I have been working out for a couple months, I still dont have the food thing down though. I think I need to weigh, measure and count calories. I have not wanted to do this frankly. But, I am gonna have to realize I have to. My first goal was to make peace with moving my butt, I think I have, now I need more structure.

WELCOME Babysteps !!!!
We love newcomers so jump right in.
You may want your first babystep to be ...
"Write down everything you put in your mouth"

Weighing, measuring and counting calories is always good... it especially opens your eyes to what you are eating or have been eating in the past.
And "MOVING your butt" ... is what I really need to be focusing on too.

Well ladies... it is Monday so I am babysitting. No time to reply now... just sneeking a peek for minute. I of course had to welcome our newbie.

I am going to try and get a few replies in here. I only have a few minutes.

Mary... always so good to see you posting again.
I can totally understand the "feeling so alone". I can be surrounded by family but feel so alone myself. This weight problem can really plays head games on me.
I am proud of you for going to the wellness center. Keep up the good work.

MissMeliss... You would think after being married for years and seeing scores and scores of relationships of others... that I could give you some good advice concerning MEN. NOPE. ..... I am cluless when it comes what women should do concerning men.
Even though it hurts... it is better knowing what he is doing and thinking than finding out what he is doing behind your back. This way it is YOUR DECISION to accept it... or move on.
I send you the serenity prayer for this one....
"Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change
The courage to change the things I can...
And the wisdom to know the difference"

Lucky...I could match your longggggggg list of accomplishments ... in order to avoid doing my taxes. I am running out of time... we both are.
SPRING is busting out all over here. You should mosey on down my way and take advantage of it.

Barbg... The doctor put my husband on an all fruit diet for a week when he was trying to quit smoking. I knew the reason why back then.. but can't remember now. Hmm

BarbPA ... I have suffered with mood swings my entire life. But they really took over when I got married. Trust me... you don't want to know why I am sad/mad/glad. I am like a broken record sometimes. I can go on and on and on and on and .......... LOL

Andria...Remember it is okay to say NO. Being a people pleaser can be an illness as well as overeating. LOL We don't have to be the "perfect" employee or boss or mother or wife or friend. It is okay to limit what you can do.
I could literally smell your cooking all the way here.

Terri... I hate it when I hit preview and then forget to submit it. Grrrrr. I have done that before myself.
I asked this before but don't remember the answer. Does your husband play golf ? And is he good at it ??

Kat...I sent you an email.... please consider it.
I will be sending prayers your way for your husbands father.
The next couple of weeks will be very stressful for your family. {{{ HUGS }}}

I can't believe no one has posted all day.
please come join in.

Well I had my job interview today, and I made it to the second interview. I'm not that worried, I'm pretty much overqualified for the job..but since the I haven't had any promising offers since i GRADUATED ONE YEAR AGO, I'm going to take it...despite the crappy pay, it has a wonderful benefits package *does victory dance* I'll have insurance now! The job is working in a residential home for people with developmental disabilities..and for those of us who aren't pc...I think mentally ******ed works just as well.

For some random reason I wanted a big mad today ...I avoid those restaurants like they plague..they are the abomination of weight loss! But I just love it so much, I can't lie!!

2Cute, thank you for the prayer...I always liked that one..it always helps me to find strength.

HELLO GANG! I really don't have much to talk about, you all have such interesting goings on it seems. I seem to keep busy enough but since I live alone my house keeps pretty clean. I do need to do a little more decorating though. For fun my girls got me an antique (reproduction) canary cage...and I haven't been able to find a little realistic looking fake yellow canary...I don't want to have a real bird, don't exactly wish to spend my time cleaning bird doo doo... Or drive poor Simba the cat nutz, he is already enough! My weight seems to be about the same for the last couple of weeks, I haven't been doing as well as I should, but it could be worse. I hope by my weigh in on Friday that I have lost a little. WELCOME Babysteps! gald to meet you! Stay and get to know us, I think this is a great place to get and give support! My cursor is acting weird so I am going to have to go...

Hi all...I just got hubby off to the airport. I miss him already and I hardly ever see him as it is!

Today, being Monday, is the start of a new week. I've been OP all day and it feels good. Just got back from the store, I bought lots of fruits and veggies...so I'm set!

I got my Oxycise! book in the mail a few days ago...interesting premise...the exercises are quite easy and can be done anywhere. Driving home from the airport is an especially good place to do them! I'll keep you all posted as to any results. Barbg, help me out here...have you had good results with this??

Welcome, babysteps! Happy to see a new face, join the fun!

Hi to everyone else, I have to run, it's time to make dinner, then we have a basketball game tonight. Well, my son does, not me!
heh heh...that would be a sight!

Hi Girls!
I'm finally getting a minute to hop in here - although it might be quick because DH is looking for some attention! I just had a yummy dinner - I grilled a 3oz filet migion and roasted 1/2 a potato with some carrots. um, um, good. Lunch was a small salad and soup. It's been a pretty good food day. I had plans to get up and go to the gym today but I didn't fall asleep until after 1am so I was not about to get up at 5:30 to workout. I'll try again tomorrow morning!

I've been thinking about ordering the commuter Oxysize tape. I figure if nothing else it would maybe be relaxing for my long drive home.

I am having trouble lately finding ways to keep my mind occupied. I am so overwhelmed with all the Dr. appts. and the whole process we are going through. I need to find ways to un-stress my mind and body!!! I know there is exercise --- and time with hubby. Just not enough. I am thinking about figuring out E-bay and trying to sell some stuff. I also really want to un-clutter the upstairs bedrooms! Hmmm - I think I just made a pretty good list of things!!!

Lucky - Ironing! UGH!!! I have so many of DH's dress shirts lined up in the spare room just sitting there --- hmmm, yet another project for me!!

Andria - Sounds like you've been busy as usual. I hope the party was fun yesterday!!!

2cute - Yay on the big nickel win!! I have been itching to go to Atlantic City and play slots and DH says no! He lost too much last time and isn't ready to return. What I forgot is that there is Slot Park/Horse Track about 20 minutes from the house. Hmmmm....might have to stop there one of these days!

BabySteps - WELCOME!!! I think you will find this to be a wonderful group of ladies. I love it here! Please feel free to post as often as you like and talk about whatever you want. You can tell that we all do!!

Melissa - I know it's not your dream job, but it's a good start. You never know where it could lead you!

Kat - Sorry about hubby leaving and his dad's surgery. Hugs to you!!!

Ok, DH is getting impatient. I would love to stay and chat more, but I have to run. Love to all!!!

Howdy everyone! I figured I would drop in for a minute and say hello nice and proper like. It's been awhile since I've had much opportunity for a REAL post.

Honey left this morning for Tennessee. He'll only be gone until tomorrow evening, but that's long enough to miss him. I was a real slug today and stayed in bed till 1:00 this afternoon. Of course, I didn't crawl into bed this morning until 2:30 AM. Mother Nature has been playing havoc with my body for the last few days so I guess I really needed the sleep. I feel all caught up now.

Babysteps: Welcome to our little corner of the world. We always love to see new faces so please join us often.

2cute: Well, I'm glad to hear you're not letting the kids take advantage again. You've got such a busy, busy Spring, I just can't imagine. Your house must be like a revolving door. * Nice win at the casino. I'm glad hubby is sharing his winnings with you.

Lucky: Sorry to hear you have that sinus "thing" hanging on. Those are miserable. We got your wind yesterday and today. Geez, we looked out the window today and the sun was shining and it looked lovely. But I opened the door and buuuuuurrrrrrrr, it was cold. High of like 32 degrees. Supposed to be in the 60's starting Monday though so that will be GREAT! * You were awfully productive even though it wasn't outside. Good for you! * I miss your little lepruchan in your signature line. It seemed like it was especially for you.

Mary: I'm so glad you stopped by for more than a second. So, did your son move into the house since you sold his camper? * Clint is in my prayers. Hope he heals up nicely. * Hope your niece has an easy labor and delivery and doesn't have to wait too long for that baby. * CONGRATS on joining the wellness center. Keep up the good work. * Don't feel so lonely, come back and join in here. We all miss you.

Melissa: "Do I have low expectations of men, or is it really normal to excuse them for infidelity over long distances?" Is that what you're doing? Excusing him? If so, then I'm not sure I would be so quick to "excuse". But then I'm thoroughly into what's good for one is good for the other. And I have a strong penchant for revenge in those cases. I think I might be saying something like "as long as you have no problem with me making out with some other guy while you're gone, then great. But don't expect me to hold down the fort here while you sow your wild oats only because we're a continent away from me." Now, you have to realize that I talk real big, but if I would ever act on it would be another story. But that is the type of thing I would be saying. * As for that recipe, I've got a bunch of WW cookbooks, it's not familiar to me, but I'll see if I can find one for you.

Barbg: Sorry, but never heard of "Turn up the Heat".

BarbPA: The sad/mad smilies were because the coding on the site got turned around. It's all fixed now.

Andria: So how was dinner??? I bet it was just yummy! You have been one busy beaver too. I'm glad you have the energy to get it all done.

Terri: Glad you had an opportunity for a WHOLE weekend off. It's a wonderful thing. It doesn't happen to me very often either.

Katrina: Glad your dad is doing well. It's a long journey for him, but I'm glad it's going well.

Well, girls, I think I caught everyone, if I didn't, it's not on purpose. I have to get my eBay sales ready to run to the post office tomorrow. I'm doing the labels on-line so they'll just be ready to take and mail. I probably should do a couple of jobs this week too, just for the heck of it.

I found two Oxycise tapes on eBay that I got for $8.00. "Introduction" which is open and "Level One" that hasn't got the celophane off of it. Gee, I wonder if ever will?

You all have a good night. Love ya bunches.

P.S. Since it's now Tuesday, I'm leaving a list of Tuesday Tips over on the Article Thread if you care to take a look.

Hi guys... it is 1:30 am and I just woke up.
I am ashamed to say I ate so much last night for dinner that I had to lay down as soon as I was finished eating. It is a longggggg shameful story how that came about but it happened.

I layed down at 6pm.... cat napped off and on until 8pm ... then turned off tv and light and slept until 1am. Now I am up and wide awake.

I don't know if I am going through a change of life crisis.. or menopause ... or just a plain emotional breakdown... but I am struggling here. My moods were just plain hairwired... but recently they are just falling apart fast.

I KNOW that the pressure of taxes needing done is hanging over my head HEAVY.
When I get off here... I am going to go start organizing them. Once I get that done I will be much better I am sure.

Thanks for listening. I will see you all later.

Hi ladies!

Its raining here and I'm wishing I could lay up in bed. But, I have to go face the work day. Yesterday was a total waste because people from the home office in Chicago bugged the crap out of me. The best work I got done yesterday was on my work laptop from 8:30 to 10 pm. And its not over yet so they will probably waste another day. They think they know everything about our business and no nothing; yet they insist that we change our accounting practices and don't have a clue - we must drop everything we do to answer their needs but then they can drag their feet all they want. Too bad the sale of the company didn't come through last year.

DH and I have had three great OP days. He even did 15 mins on the airdyne yesterday so he's trying. He was getting really frustrated last night especially when he found out that Stove Top stuffing is 4 points for a 1/2 cup. I know that feeling though. But I told him how to make just the 1/2 cup servings. He chose instead to have just turkey and green beans (personally, I thought YUCK). I didn't say a word because he has to come to terms with things himself. He made a great turkey with sun-dried tomatoes and mushrooms recipe that I found in the recipe section here. So with those flavors it was a good meal with just the g.b.'s. We both had enough points leftover to splurge on a Drumstick ice cream treat. That thing is 6 points even though its made with splenda.

Any of you ladies that are missing your DH's want to borrow mine? I love him but he needs a hobby! 2Cute - DH used to play golf but hasn't much because of the neuropathy. He was not a great golfer.

Anyone watch Deadwood? I slept through it on Sunday and tried to watch it last night. I'm not sure I get into it. Some of their shows, there are so many characters that I can't get into and therefore never click with the show. This might be one for me.

How about Dr. Phil's Booty Camp? Amazing what 20 pounds can made in someone's look. I love his weight-loss shows because it gives me inspiration. I don't care much about the rest of his shows. I don't care for Robyn.

I better get ready for work. Have a great day.

2Cute - When do you go back to the doc about the tests you had done on your heart? Talk to your doc about the mood swings - life doesn't have to be that way.
