Ubee - Things are trucking along! DH has some chronic issues unfortunately, so it's likely to be a long-term struggle for him. New job is going well. IP.... well, that went okay for the first few days, although I experienced a lot of dizziness. Then the 4th of July happened, and I went off the rails a bit. I'm still doing low carb (under 30g/day) and moderate protein, but I've upped the fat intake a bit.

How are things in your neck of the woods?

Blicca low carb high fat works great for me when I stick to it. I like to mix things up with my eating.
I am doing good. I feel so much more relaxed yet committed now that I am below 250.
Have you done low carb before?
I really love a lot of the low carb foods and recipes, dietdoctor.com has some of my favorites. I love the pesto chicken casserole with feta and olives!
Do you have any favorite low carb recipes?
I enjoy using heavy whipping cream with everything when I do low carb. Now that we are talking about it I think I may make next week low carb.

Ubee - Nope, this is my first time trying to cut out carbs. I've slipped a quite a few times so far, but I'm trying to stick with it. Your mentioning the heavy cream got me to thinking I might need to make a low carb version of zuppa toscana, with turnips in place of the potatoes. Yum!

Blicca when I look at all the yummy low carb dishes I wonder how come I am not eating like this every day.
Those sweets sure do have a hold on me tho.

We have two weeks left. I had a tough day today and need to snap out of it. I so want to meet my goal.

I'm at my lowest weight in 5 years...so nice to pull clothes off the rack and have them fit better
Exercise is a little slow...getting ready for major life changes...the daughter is moving out and three states away to start on doctorate degree...not comforting feelings with food but I'm still sad

Sweetcakes such good news about going below your lowest weight in 3 years!
How exciting for your daughter. You must be bursting with pride.

Karecat I actually can relate to what you wrote. When we start out at 300+ being under 250 can make us feel so awesome.

I have not logged on here in awhile, but after this fall back I figured I could use the motivation and support. Last week was rough... my dad bought the hugest bag of Doritos, and I could not stay out of them, I was disappointed and continued to splurge. During the day I was doing good, staying in the calorie range, but snacking at night is what gets me. Currently going through a pack of gum a day just to keep my mouth busy and distracted.
