Default Leg bump

I have this bump above my knee that won't go away. My dr told me it is from me being obese. I am sure a lot of things are due to me being fat but this is not one of them. I received this over 12 years ago when I feel through a floor, long before I gained 100 lbs.
Is there anything I can do to help it shrink?

Is it hard/soft/pushable?

IDK a medical reason but I could see if both were the same, maybe it could be about a weight issue. Otherwise, that doesn't really make sense. Does it hurt?

When I was down from the 300s to the 170s, I had really saggy upper legs/knees but nothing like that. I'm not sure I believe your doctor. So many of us are blown off by our docs for being heavy, it makes me sad.

I know my doctor is wrong, I had this way before I gained my weight.
It is soft and pushable.. It didn't used to hurt but now I get pains in it.

Regardless on whether this came from a fall 12 years ago or you being heavy, it should not give you pains... You may need to see a different doctor if your current doctor assumes that random flaps of fat should give a person pain for no reason (since he believes its a flap of fat from being heavy).

Since you have had it for 12 years, was it never checked out before?

I had it checked after it first happened, they did some scans on it. Nothing serious showed so they said it was fine.. I didn't have it checked again until years later. I am going to have another dr in that practice look at it. He really blames everything on my weight.
He even said something like losing weight will help it go down well I have lost 40 lbs and it only looks bigger.
