Judy - love that WI!
POP here - didn't get to the pool today though. |
I am up to 20 minutes on the gazelle. I often do it twice a day. I can tell I'm getting faster on it. Hubby is using it daily and says his shoulder is getting better. Guess it's helping with his arthritis.
I am not doing measurements till Halloween but I can tell I'm smaller. I still have a long way to but it's an improvement. Please keep my sister in your thoughts and prayers. She isn't doing good. |
I lost 2lb last week, I don't know how except it being all the walking in Gettysburg to counteract all that bad choice food.
Went shopping with hubby last night and got all POP foods, so I am set for the week. Deb, I'll be praying for your sister. |
Yesterday evening I ended up using quite a few extra points. More in control today.
Good job annsokos. Nice loss! Deb, Carol - Keep it up. You're doing great. Deb, I'll keep your sister in my prayers. |
My sister is better!! She is still in ICU but was able to talk to her today. I so thankful she is such a great hospital!!
I am having a bad eating day. Tomorrow is planned and will be pop. I know now lack of sleep is a trigger for me. |
Things are to quite here!! We need some chatter!!
How is everyone? My scales are up but I'm good! Food was pop!! |
Food not great yesterday. trying to do better today.
Our Fall colors are at peak. Not a lot of reds this year but glorious yellows and golds of every shade, salmon pinks and dark, dark browns. We had a lot of wind yesterday that cleared out the dead leaves but there is till a lot left. My favorite season!!! |
Hey Beautiful Ladies!!!
It's been a LONG time....couple years. I was thrilled to see some familiar faces! ((((HELLO))))) ;) |
Welcome home barb!!!
Judy we are just starting to have color. I love fall leaves!!! Dreading the winter ahead Food is good but am eating at the high end of my calorie range. Thinking if scales don't start going back down soon I will cut a couple of hundred calories out a day. |
barb! Hi. So glad you stopped in. How're things?
Weigh in yesterday was a wash. No gain,no loss. I'll take it and try harder this week. Beautiful sunny day here. Upper 60's. Temps drop tomorrow and Sunday we're expecting a high in the low 40's. Sweater weather is approaching. |
I am on the low end of my calories tonight. Still debating if I should eat a snack. I don't normally eat after dinner.
Still need to get my exercise in. Way to go Judy on NO gain!! |
Hi Ladies - Thanks for the warm welcome back.
It's been a crazy couple years Judy. I'll try to cliff note it.... You may remember in 2008 I finally committed to a healthier lifestyle. I lost 120 pounds and felt better than I had in my entire life. Then, in 2011 I started to feel horrible. My body started to fight me and it took awhile to figure out what was going on. I was initially diagnosed with diverticulitis, then it changed to Ulcerative Colitis and ultimately they discovered I had Crohn's disease. I was in and out of the hospital for a year. Took every medicine possible, but nothing worked. In December of 2012 I was rushed to the hospital with what turned out to be a perforated colon. It was trying to kill me. I had emergency surgery to have my colon and rectum completely removed. I now have a permanent ileostomy and will have an ostomy bag for life. The good news is that I can now live my life again. Yes, with a bag, but I'm alive!!! I have regained the weight. It took me over a year to physically recover from the surgery. I am finally ready to recommit to a healthy life. It's time to drop weight again and feel better!! This week I started counting calories again and am focused on a plan! Exercise is challenging right now because it turns out I have arthritis in my knee. Yes....I am only 44! :dizzy: However, I will work back into it! I hope to catch up with all my "old" buddies and meet the new ones here! My boys are now 7 & 9 years old. Life is crazy, hectic and getting better every day! Speaking of...time to wrangle them to bed. :grouphug: Barb |
Good morning all. So happy to see you here Barb.
I'm still POP but struggling with the scale not cooperating. Staying focused through the weekend is one of my biggest challenges. Menu is planned and have some thought on how to address the boredom that makes me think I'm hungry. |
This morning was not great. I'm going to have to be really careful, and change some plans to stay within my points. :(
Holy crap Barb. You've been through a lot. Hope it's all behind you now. BTW my Dad had similar surgery and wore a bag for years with no additional problems. Your kids are growing up fast. Can't believe how old they are. I'm sure you'll see lots of old faces welcoming you back over the next few weeks. Carol keeping your hands busy, and clean (or dirty), is the key. I just wish I did more of it. I pulled out my cross stitch bag a few weeks ago to get back to a project from 2012. I now need to pull the piece out of the bag and actually work on it. :o Since my hands have to be clean to keep stains off the fabric it keeps me from munching. Last week, for 3 days, I did computer stuff for a group I belong to. It kept my hands busy and since I was with other people I stayed really aware of the food traps around me and didn't snack. Cold front is blowing through right now. Time to close the windows ans turn on the heat. |
Hubby and I decided we do best when we have a planned day off. Well it was yesterday and I chose Mexican for lunch. I was still mindful to the chips. I had fajitas and truly enjoyed it. When we got home I wasn't hungry for dinner so it ended up being a good day. Calories were higher but for a day off I was satisfied. Lots of exercise shampooing carpets yesterday.
Church today and then dinner will be out with neighbors but will be pop!! Can't decide if I want to clean or just relax after church. Of course we have nascar and the Chiefs play. |
