Several of us seem to be in a slip-up cycle. What's up with this, do you think?

I've been thinking a lot about why I keep cycling through period of being on and off plan.

I've been letting myself eat emotionally too often. It's not a good solution. It doesn't change anything. It only makes me feel better for a very short time--and then I feel worse.

I also haven't been exercising much, which is in some ways an even bigger problem. On that, I don't feel so bad--phlebitis on the sole of the foot is a real exercise obstacle. I'm working on getting back to where I was.

Bad news: Weight crept up another pound this week. I've got to turn this around.

Good news: Today was POP.

Getting better. Remembering to cook after remembering to defrost.

No fast food today!

Lost 0.8 of a lb. this week. The last three days have been WW POP.

I set a new goal, for 10 days on the Life Boat thread, and thought I'd share it here since it seems to be working.

Each time I want a snack, or an off program meal, I am trying to answer he following questions to help me stay OP:

1 - Ask myself "why" I'm thinking about eating something I shouldn't be.
2 - Would I be proud to track it if I ate it?
3 - Is it healthy or just junk I'm eating to make me "feel better"?
4 - Would I eat it if I thought someone was watching?
5 - Was I able to find something not edible to use as a replacement if needed?

Busted my 4 day string of POP days last night but I worked hard today not to crash again and I've been successful! Luckily I was able to use some of my extra WW points and actually still have a lot left over.

I have tomorrow's food planned. That usually helps me stay honest.

I've got the tv all set for Outlander later tonight. I loved the books and, so far, the adaptation to the screen has been very well done.

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend.

new to this thread. Weekend was ok, had a date so wasn't POP, but made some ok choices so it wasn't horrible.

He's 16 years older.....blah

Didn't cook for the week like I should have..just being lazy I guess. I am proud that I'm not eating my feelings with my sister in the hospital...She's stable so that's good. I get the results from my Dr from my first physical in 4 years..hoping all is well...

I did workout...love my weights...and I joined daily burn for variety...

I think I grazed yesterday all day long. No real meals just snacky all day long. Today is starting off the same way. Lots of illness with family on both sides and I think the stress has caught up with me. I am reigning it in right now. I will skip lunch and eat a healthy dinner. Hooking up a walk video today, to hot to walk outside!!

STOP IT, DEB!

I'm going to get on my soap box.

The food is not going to make you feel better. It's not going to help you help your family either. If you make yourself sick you will just be adding to your stress.

Take a deep breath, maybe take a walk, or work in the garden.

Go over in your mind who needs what kind of support. Pick one nearby and call them. If you can offer your help for a couple hours one day this week.

Plan an easy, healthy dinner for you and DH. After dinner call your DD, or another close family member and have a chat. Tell her/them what's happening and ask if there is something she/they could offer to do. Tomorrow, bake cookies and mail them off to someone out of town. A gesture like that will help them, and you, feel better.

We all love you and don't want to see you get sick.

Off the box now.

Hi Obsidianbbw Welcome to the group.

I had a little off plan slip yesterday but today, so far, has been really good.

To the missing ladies: Come on back. We need you.

Thanks Judy. Just feeling overwhelmed I think. I hate being stuck inside and it's way to hot to be outside. I figured up my calories and I'm at double what I should be. I figured yesterday and it wasn't as bad as I thought.
Hubby is still off kilter and it's hard when he isn't himself. I sleep with one eye open.
My mom lives an hour away and with babysitting I can't be with her. She was in a wreck and is so sore and could really use my help. My mil health is slipping fast.
I think I am declaring this weekend kid free. Just haven't had a weekend for myself in ages.
