notmymoma, good job running from the candy bar! You should be proud of yourself!
Andrea, nice work saying no to the cookie and yes to you!
It is good to see you being honest with yourselves. Yes one will hurt because it will lead to many more. Taking them home and you would just eat them all. Good insight.

Awesome pluckypear and others!!!

The posts have been reminding me of something my close friend Susan and I did years ago. We both worked at a company that had a self-serve snack bar, where you would take junk food and leave money on the honor system. We worked together on the evening shift when there was usually only her and I around. The "snack bar" was torture for both of us.

One night we both just snapped! After discussing it very briefly, we both pulled out twenty dollar bills and purchased every item in the snack bar. Susan gathered up the entire stash and took it out to the center of the parking lot, where I repeatedly drove back and forth (in my car) over the "snacks" until all that was left was a pile of crumbs and lots of plastic wrappers.

OMG!!! We laughed till we cried (and then some) and forever had a special bond. I LOL just telling you about it!!! I guess my NSV is that no matter the struggles with food, I have never lost my sense of humor!

I went to two Justin Timberlake concerts (I love him more than I can say) this past week. I had to be away from home, meet up with friends and I still managed to stay on point.

Not only that but I had SO much energy. He performs for 3 hours and even though my feet hurt I didn't feel like I was dying and I danced and jumped around both nights. Something I couldn't do even 50 lbs ago!

Way to go everyone on your NSV!
