Default Hello and glad I found this place!

Hi all - I'm new to the forum and I just want to briefly introduce myself. I'm so glad I found this site. It seems very supportive, and things were starting to get a bit lonely.

2 weeks ago I started a (yet another) weight loss/fitness/quest to be significantly less fat journey. I'm guessing a number of you here most likely have started journeys like this in the past as well. Perhaps even as many times as I have, (it appears I’m going for some sort of record, though). Some of those journeys even led to temporary success, but never lasting success.

Right now my plan is fairly simple: calorie intake at least 1600 but not more than 2000 per day, avoid enriched flour and sugar (what I call “bad carbs”) as much as possible, 30 minutes of cardio every 3 out of 4 days.

That’s it (for now). The plan is definitely a work in progress, and there's most definitely room for improvement and more specifics, and that’s kind of by design.

Anyway - looking forward to getting to know you all!

Welcome to the place! You'll enjoy it here. Everyone is wonderful. Your plan sounds as good as anyone else's. I am doing something similar and keeping mine below 1900 calories for now. I use My Fitness Pal, the app, on my phone to track what I eat and my exercise, etc... This is very helpful for me. I think everyone's plan is a work in progress, just like each one of us is!

Thanks for the warm welcome! I feel a strong commitment to getting fit and staying true to my game plan, something I haven't felt in years. A forum like this is exactly what I need right now.
