Default 300+ #'er Here

Is it bad I feel out of place with people who are only looking to lose 10 or 15 pounds?

I'm Amber, a work at home mom with 150 pounds to lose. I've been yo-yo'ing since grade school and am determined to make this the last time I have this much weight to lose.

I'm so happy to be a part of a group of like minded people and can't wait to interact and support you all!

WELCOME....You'll find all kids of people here. I started somewhere around 300 and wanted to lose around 150 for my first goal. I have somewhere between 25-30 pounds left to go. So, you have a lot of company.

YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!!!!!!!!

Same here.

I love that I've found an awesome group of people who are in the same boat with me, and there's so much inspiration from members who have lost tremendous amounts. I love it here!

Thanks! I'm still finding my way around the different boards. I'm normally a shy, keep to myself type - but I feel like I can openly communicate here. I absolutely love reading all the success stories - it definitely gives me hope!

There are a lot of us here who started out (and who are currently) at over 300 pounds... quite a few who are a lot over that. It does not matter if someone needs to lose 10 pounds or hundreds... this is a great support community for everyone wanting to make that change!

So glad you are here... welcome!

Welcome! This place is an excellent support site, and I very quickly realized that I was fighting the exact same battle looking at loosing 250 pounds (I started at around 450) as someone with 20.

Best of Luck on your journey!

Welcome and good luck, AmberK. These forums changed my life, I couldn't live or lose weight without them now.

There is so much information to learn, it's awesome. The ladies (and men!) on this site are so helpful and full of knowledge. It helps me so much to know that I am not alone.

Don't think about your 150 to lose, think of the first 10 and then 5-10 after that. It all adds up and feels amazing. I keep a log of how much I lose every week and to look back on it, it makes me dance! Yes, 2lbs here, 3lbs there, but it adds up so quick!

Please post often and join in any conversation, I look forward to seeing you here!
