Default Where to get a scale?

Hello fellow 300+ members. This is my first post. I'd like some opinions on weight scales (the one you weigh yourself on, not a food scale). I'd like to officially start posting on here and get my current weight. I don't have health insurance so going to the doctor isn't really an option.

Where did you buy your scale? Any brands that you'd recommend? I know it can be hard to find ones that go over 300 lbs, which is depressing enough! Any input would be appreciated, I'm looking forward to posting more on here!

I just had to replace my scale after a decade of trusty service. Looked around at reviews on Amazon and ended up buying a "Biggest Loser" scale from Weight Watchers. It's consistent, at least; if I weigh myself 3-4 times in a row, it's exactly the same weight, to the quarter pound. Haven't been to my doc to check against it yet, but it seems consistent with where I was before I had to change scales.

Welcome, and try to enjoy the journey. It's a good one.

I bought a glass Weight Watchers scale from Target, for about $26. It goes up to or over 400 lbs (I can't remember). I LOVE it and it is consistent each time too. Now that I think about it, it may the Biggest Loser one too but I'm not sure. I just know it's made of blue glass and it is a Weight Watchers version. lol

Welcome!

I'm not sure what your financial situation is, but I have a Omron HBF-514C Full Body Composition Sensing Monitor and Scale. It set me back $70 but it's worth it. It says it's limit is 330 lbs. I could get it to weigh me up to 351 lbs however it would have an "ERR" message after it... but it would give me a number! So haha... that always makes a person feel good.

Ten years ago it was damn near impossible to find a scale that went up to 400 lbs at a retail store. So many Americans are obese now, I bought mine at Bed Bath and Beyond.
