Every since I hit my newest low, it's as if something just clicked. I want to exercise all the time, I know that isn't realistic but it's kinda like a craving. I don't know how to explain it.
I walked the mall twice on Monday, then walked the park yesterday, and got the exercise bike out today. I have rode it once this morning and plan on riding it again around 4-5pm, and then once before bed. Should I start out just twice a day? I am just scared I will get burnt out and tired of it.
You're way better than me. I absolutely hate exercising...and only recently started doing it to further my weight loss. I currently walk 2.whatever miles 5 days a week. At first it took me a full hour to do that, now I'm able to make it back home as quick as 45 minutes. I like to get my exercising done and out of the way. It's not so bad when I'm doing it, but I guess anticipating it makes me not want to do it.
If you feel like this is something you keep up with the way you're doing it, go for it.
i find that i want to be "in motion" as well...i run every morning during the work week and on nice days, i find myself wanting to bike ride in the evening...once on a sunny weekend i rode 13 miles in an afternoon...i'm learning that what i WANT to do doesn't equal what my body is prepared to do...and i know if i work out again at night, i will suffer the consequences at 6 a.m. the next day when i run...but yes, i also have that desire to be active and keep moving
I think it is great that you want to exercise. I love exercising as well but my problem is I only have time to do it in the morning and sometimes I just want to stay in bed. Hahahaha. I only exercise once a day though for at least 30 minutes and I try and exercise 3 to 5 times a week. I increase my exercise time every week. I'm hoping to be able to run without dying one day. Hahahaha.
I say exercise as much as you want! If it gets to be too much, cut back. Burn-out is always a risk, but why not embrace enjoying something that's so good for you? This is a LONG journey. You will get tired of lots of stuff. Coping with the diet fatigue will be a challenge you will have to deal with. It's easier to do this if you have legit enjoyed parts of it, and if you have made good progress.
Working out several times a day is just not sustainable for me- I'm happy when I work out four times a week. I'm trying to focus on moderation this time around, so that I can sustain this lifestyle.

i don't like exercising because its hard and sweaty and uncomfortable at my weight (still just over 300lbs) but I love how accomplished and proud I feel. It's empowering me. I'm doing more than I ever thought I could. Most days I exercise 2-3 hours in the morning before I get tired and lazy. It does wear me out so I take it easier the rest of the day. I wouldn't be able to do this amout of working out if I was working a full time job, I know that for sure. So I work out once a day usually but for a long time. Sometimes I get in an after dinner walk. Most days I'm too tired. Today I worked out for 4 hours and I'm exhausted but I feel so great about myself. Even if I am sore, lol.
I'm just getting started with my weight loss journey and I know how you feel to an extent. I have no endurance so I've been peddaling 5 minutes at a time throughout the day. I want to do more but my legs and thighs burn so bad from not being used that way so 5 min is all I can stand...but I do it like every hour or two.
I exercise 4-5 times a week...but only up to an hour on that day. I couldn't imagine working out 2-3 hours. I'd hate my life! Lolol. I definitely am trying to find ways that work for me in order to not go back to old ways that seem appealing to me because I hate what I'm doing now.
I'm not really hungry much. I let myself have treats and indulgences. And I work out for a long enough period that it shows a loss. I'm doing things so much different then in the past and this time just feels different!
i dont have time at the moment to exercise more than once a day...really, i probably never would have the time...because i work full time and have kids as well
tomorrow my schedule will be working 7-8 a.m., gym time from 8-9 a.m.(roughly), get ready for a meeting and be in meetings from 10-noon, then come home and start the roast in the oven, then work 1-6 p.m., then home for the regular evening chores of dinner, bedtimes etc...i'm usually in bed by 10:30 p.m.
Right now I'm swimming every day, sometimes twice a day and doing some water aerobics and aqua jogging as well... Nothing to strenuous just enjoying myself in the pool... But I did just start running again last week for the first time in a few years... I managed to make it out for 2 runs during the week... 5 miles the first time and 7 miles the second time without completely killing myself (although I was pretty sore and tired this past weekend) I know that most people might consider working out twice a day a bit extreme, but i guess it all depends what your goals are... When I was training for a marathon and running competitively I ran twice a day several days a week... 8 miles in morning and 6 miles in the late afternoon/early evening was not uncommon along with long runs of 20 to 30 miles on the weekends.... Now I just want to get back in shape and most importantly ENJOY myself...
So I think that as long as you're listening to your body and being careful not to over do it or injure yourself... I say more power to you...
I exercise once a day, for an hour, 5 days a week. Sometimes, I would like to workout more. But I know my body needs to rest and re-cooperate for the next day! That is great how you want to workout so much! Just make sure to listen to your body, when it needs rest, give it rest! You do not want to burn out and then go days/weeks without it! I know, I would just die!
